Tough call for me considering I've seen a lot of great ROH matches the last four years. Best WWF/E match I saw live has to be the first Edge/Christian-Hardyz ladder match at No Mercy 1999. I'm still in awe of that one when I watch the tape. Overall? I love Samoa Joe-CM Punk I, plus I have to give Homicide-AJ Styles from The Battle Lines are Drawn a mention, as both were absolutely fantastic.

While I always agreed with you, you have to remember that after he glommed Hogan, Liz went to check on him and Savage said something along the lines of "I'll splatter you right on him." Threatening Liz = instant heel. Still, I know I was rooting for Savage as a 10-year-old mark

Ah hell, just pick a match. Definitely, the worst wrestling show I ever saw live. It was, of course, a live Thunder. And I don't remember a thing from Malenko/Guerrero. Wasn't that the night Chavo finally took a swing at Uncle Eddy during the whole "Chavo is Eddy's slave" thing? I seem to remember being there live for that moment and was definitely at that horrible taping.

Until The Rock came out during the main event, yeah, pretty much. And despite how it sounded on TV they had been pretty hot all night.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker (King of the Ring 2002). So boring. I think the match went 15 minutes before the crowd popped for anything.

Will he be allowed to play both sides though? I saw much more of a Raw influence than a SmackDown influence in this week's ECW show.

Update: I am taking a much needed vacation and will not be available until June 15, so please don't book me for 13th Hour. I'll be online sporadically at best and figured since I have no programs going anyway, keeping off the PPV shouldn't screw anybody over except the guy that ends up in the random three way dance.

My guess would be to kill time. You've got two guys trying to work an hour out there, so taking a minute or two for the timekeeper to get taken out allows a breather without it seeming like you're allowing a breather.

Agreed. Although my only beef with the Agora is the stage. Hardcore Homecomming did quite well there last year. I can understand that, but the stage made it pretty unique. Plus, there are some seemingly custom made balconies for them to lunge off of. Didn't catch HH last year but every house show ECW had there was a blast. Hell, I think the closest ECW is coming to Cleveland is Beckley, WV. I wanted a show at Packard Music Hall in Warren, Ohio myself. Five minutes from home and both house shows held there drew like 2,000 people. The WWF couldn't say that about their last show there.

So they have enough faith in ECW to bring it back full-time, but not enough faith in ECW to let them draw buys based on the name alone? RVD vs. Cena makes sense considering it's RVD using the Money in the Bank. Sabu vs. Rey as a match on the show is fine, but does the belt have to be on the line?

Well, I had a horrible Raw, and since there's still no SD preview I'm not liking my odds.

A sad angle to go out with for several reasons: 1. Goldberg's winning streak ended at 174, not 176, so he had to top his old streak by 2. 2. With Russo gone shortly after that, why didn't the new man in charge (Flair in kayfabe terms, IIRC) just say, "Screw it, Goldberg in the main is money, so he gets the shot"?

It will cause lower buyrates, but the thinking is the extra money will counteract that. Had they tried this last year at this time, everybody would have assumed they were just trying to kill off ECW before ONS ever happened.
