  1. I need to find time to cut a promo for this one, too, because the lineup immediately gave me an idea or three.

    The World's Funniest Joke

I've heard a better version of this, but I can't remember it. My girlfriend called me a pedophile, and I said "That's an awfully big word for a 10-year-old." And for a new one: Q: What's the difference between Michael Jackson and a plastic bag? A: One's harmful to children if they get too close, and the other one is good for carrying your groceries.

    Smarkdown Predictions

World Championship: Toxxic's been on such a hot streak, but Cortez should be fresh after no-showing the tourney. It's a pick'em, but I'm thinking Toxxic. Cruiserweight Title: If both members of Wild and Dangerous had double gold, I'd be very sad. Another pick'em with Pretz taking it. World Title Contendership: Jenkins if either one bothers to write for it this time. Cruiserweight Match: No prediction, but armbars galore wouldn't surprise me. Singles Match: Arch Griffon Curtain Jerker: JJ.

    Lockdown Comments~!

On the one hand, part of me is highly pissed that Johnny Dangerous got the duke when I thought I wrote one hell of a match. On the other hand, Agent wrote an awesome match and it gives me the chance to save those spots for somewhere down the road. Haven't read the rest of the show yet, but I'll get to it.

    Jarrett meeting with Viacom

*If* TNA made the move to Spike, and *if* it got the 9pm Monday time slot, TNA could slip through the back door and become at least a minor threat. Think about it. Casual fans became conditioned to wrestling being on Spike TV Monday nights at 9. So maybe they forget Raw's moved to another station and flip to Spike automatically, catching some kickass X Division matchup. That's a best case scenario I don't see coming to fruition, but stranger things have happened.

    Most consistently enjoyable actors.

I would've said Turturro, but I remember. I think, "Clockers" and thought it was atrocious. I know, it was a Spike Lee film so it probably wasn't John's fault it sucked so hard, but still. But that comedy he did EARLY in his career was ridiculously funny. -=Mike Wasn't that comedy called Brain Donors? I remember finding that absolutely hilarious. Reminded me of the old Marx Brothers flicks before they all got cliche.

I'm off work at 9 but should be on by 9:30. And I know I'm on the clock, I'm still deciding on something.
  13. So I'm rewatching WrestleMania VI today, and during Hogan-Warrior I'm listening to the crowd and hearing a 50-50 split in fan support. I remember cheering Hogan at my local CCTV location that day (was never a fan of Warrior's once he went from Dingo to Ultimate), and I grew up being the biggest Hulkamaniac out there. So it got me thinking about when I started hating Hogan, and it dawned on me: 1993. I was getting off the bandwagon when Flair first came into the WWF in 1991 because I was a huge Flair fan, but I didn't hate Hogan. Fast forward two years. When Hogan came back and got the belt at WrestleMania IX, it didn't bother me (if Fuji was stupid enough to issue the challenge, then screw it). But then it came time for title defenses. Title defenses that weren't coming. Bear in mind I had access to both Cleveland and Youngstown's syndicated TV, and Youngstown would often give lineups for Pittsburgh as well, and I never saw Hogan's name even on a card, much less defending the title. But lo and behold, there's the World Champion in Orlando taping the pilot for Thunder and Paradise rather than wrestling...or Hogan's version of it, anyway. I was still rooting for Hogan at King of the Ring that year (I hated the Yokozuna push that much), but it certainly didn't break my heart when he disappeared shortly after that. So how about you guys? When did you former Hulkamaniacs become anti-Hulkamania?

    Another Nameless Diva Quits

That's what I'm tring to figure out. He's been on SmackDown what, ONCE in the last two years? And maybe three interpromotional PPVs since the diva search started? Orton's such an asshole, he can get you to quit without ever seeing you!

    Lockdown predictions~!

Fatal Four Way Match: I'm gonna pick the mild upset and say Pretzler. #1 Contender's Match: Gotta go with Spike USJL/ICTV Tournament Final: I won't make an official prediction since it's my match, but the winner's gonna have to be a doozy. Mystery Match: The mystery man since he's more likely to show. Sorry Sly. Non-Title Match: Koran's due for a victory. Opener: JJ

    SWF Storm Card, 3-25-05!

It was a rhetorical question, Agent. I'd rather just win the title outright anyway.

    SWF Storm Card, 3-25-05!

So if I win and they both no-show, I win the tourney by default, right?

May you all have a happy Holy Friday

I *really* wish you'd have started this in HD, because you're asking for worse comments than "Go to hell" just for posting that. But I appreciate the well-wishes, even though I'm eating meat on this Good Friday.
  19. He probably called him an Uncle Tom or something. Can't they at least let him job the belts off before blackballing him?

You mean I busted my ass to put on a kickass winning match and I could have half-assed it? Dammit! In all seriousness though, you'll get your rematch somewhere along the line. We might need to get together and work a full program together. And Justice, the match wasn't up when I posted that, so

    Who said it?

I don't think we ever answered this one. Wasn't that Rick Rude when he tried to kiss Cheryl Roberts the first time? Here's one somebody's bound to get wrong because it's not the most obvious answer: "Jake Roberts wanted to be a lawyer but he could never pass the bar."
