Tomko's sudden shift is frustrating. I only recently started watching wrestling again and have only been watching TNA in the last few months so the horrible booking people were talking about hadn't hit me yet. But Tomko alone, standing for himself was fucking GOLD to me. I was a fan, even kinda marked for Tomko during those couple weeks. Now he joins Kurt but only if Kurt doesn't treat him like his bitch? That's a total philosophical 180 for no apparent reason. AWAY from what seemed, y'know, interesting. : (

Sad. Geology class? What the fuck can Geology possibly do to elicit that kind of reaction? Makes me think it was more targeted, as the quote near the end of the article offers.

I'd also like to see Reaper get to continue. I've got a soft spot for it for some reason.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Me too, Jingy. Me too. Trailer was great. Psyched about the apparent Raiders connection. And yeah, Harrison looks like he hasn't aged much at all, which is pretty impressive. Cool to see all the whip stunts, too. -
You know, that makes a terrifying bit of sense.

Unfortunately with the geek fanbase, Fox has no one to blame but itself. I like Sarah Connor, but I don't trust them to be smart enough to actually... y'know, keep the show on long enough to work. I'm still pissed about Firefly and Drive.

Yeah, this week was awesome. Holy crap!

The OaO Raw Is Taped thread - 11/2/2008

Holy crap. I guess Hardy's a legit Main Event guy now. Dang. -
Production workers are union people too. They'll want writer support when it's time for their strike threat down the line. They may resent it, but my guess is they understand it enough to deal with it and get back to work. The image of the million dollar writer probably isn't helping. It's also untrue.

Cloverfield should learn from this mistake. Cloverfield Monster (Fieldy?) vs Kong vs Godzilla Cloverfield and Kong tag up on Zilla in America. Godzilla fucks up 2 American monsters in Japan.
-
Interesting. Well, something new learned!
-
I'll jump in. [email protected]

I could be mistaken, but I believe the Kong win was just an alternate for the US version. In Japan, Kong jobbed to big G, I think.

Reaper was great for what it was. Which was mostly Sock.

Jester vs. Some Generally Unused Character

Wherever Smackdown goes, I don't particularly care. But this just makes me miss when Smackdown! was serving as Raw: Continued and things were a little more strung together. But that general era was pretty great, so it might not be the interaction of the shows so much as just good times in general.

I'm wondering if their acknowledging The Naked Gun is kind of a message to spoof fans? I mean, *we* know that movie, but the average seventeen year old probably doesn't now. Seems they're breaking it out to get some quick credibility, which could be troublesome but I'm hoping is great.

Yeah, CLOVERFIELD 4 would be tiresome for sure. But you might be able to stretch it to 3 if it's building up to some sort of balls out concerted battle. But that's a tricky tightrope to walk.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Turbo Lion replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Drawing lines in the sand and calling people apologists and what have you is stupid all around. A guy took a shit load of damage to the brain. He may not have been totally fucking nuts, but he wasn't all there. What he did was terrible all around and that's unavoidable. It's not a black and white situation. It's incredibly gray. Tragic might be the right word. But taking any hard line on something with this many factors is the most unreasonable, irrational thing to do. -

A factor also is that wrestling isn't so much a regulated "sport", so the requirements and responsibilities of the corporation/franchise might be totally different. WWE may have zero responsibility because of the nature of wrestling. I mean, how many (old school) ECW wrestlers could make a case considering the crazy shit they went through? Wrestlers choose this life and they know the risk to their bodies. -
The drug scenario makes sense to me too. How does someone just... die after sex? Unless there's some pre-existing condition that isn't public or something.
-
Now that's true. We've seen the monster. A sequel would need to either or feature something new or different about everything we already know.
-
Yeah I really like the particular character arc.
-
I wouldn't be so bold as to call Main Event, but I would ask for the Mixed Tag to be up in that area somewhere.

The thing about his story, though, is that it doesn't quite add up to Murder. I mean, I'm not defending him at all, but I'm not quite sure what they will be able to charge him with on the merits of his account. If she flipped out and died, he didn't kill her. Disposing of her as he did is... no doubt illegal, but what is it?
