On ALL the WWE shows they say, "Card subjected to changed" or something to that extent. Even though Austin isn't on the card to wrestle, the promo has him to be ON the card. Well, since he's not going to be on it... it would change...

 

Or some crazy logic like that.

Well, I wouldn't... I mean, he's gotten over seriously as a face. Granted.

 

But, him joining Team Canada/Canadian Mafia would give more heat to a stable that's trying to be established. (Look how Christian was hated when he turned on Edge. Though, it was in their hometown).

 

Smackdown has their #1 face. The Rock. I think it would be a good decision, though.. *shrugs*

I don't see how it will help the angle. If anything, it should be left as Lance Storm as the leader, because if Edge joins, then he instantly is the centerpiece of the group, and Storm gets less exposure. Sure Edge would be a big time heel, but it would be pointless to do at this poing in time, and would do nothing but screw up Storm, and make the past few months for Edge seem pointless.

Sigh.. I kind of miss the days. But Edge joining Team Canada both throws Christian back in his shadow and is counterproductive to the past months' of work.

I was at a theater this week that shows wrestling PPVs when they come around, and they had a posted for Vengeance with Austin actually on it.

 

For a minute I wondered if there was some big news I hadn't heard about, then I figured they must design them well in advance.

 

Sign me with the people that think hinting Austin will have anything to do with it is a bad idea.

Triple H was on the poster for Vengeance 2001 and all of the graphics featured the sledgehammer. WWE wasn't very clear about Triple H not being at Vengeance (with the exception of the Ross Report), and a lot of people thought he was going to be there. I remember hearing a Triple H chant during the main event. I also remember reading that a lot of fans went home disappointed when he didn't show up. (The sad thing is that he was backstage and he could have come out and cut a short promo or something.) WWE needs to either change the ad, take the ad off the air, or mention on Raw and Smackdown that Austin will not be at the show. The last thing they need to do is give the fans a major disappointment.
