Guest chirs3 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 No no, Shadow. It's "methodical pacing".
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 God Vince McMahon is a fucking tard. Fuck the genius shit that people used to say about him... he is one dumb, lazy son of a bitch now. Give the fans what they want. Don't give the wrestlers what they want. They're YOUR employees, YOU are their boss. So backstage politics should be non existant. I don't care who is fucking your daughter. The truth is she's probably fucking half of the locker room, she's just "officially" with HHH. God I wish NWA TNA would get a national TV contract. I don't care how bad it is outside of the X Division... WE NEED AN ALTERNATIVE
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 I think that Heyman is doing better commentary on the outside than the King is doing on the mic.
Guest Shadow Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 This match just seems to be RVD bumping his ass off for Brock. Doesn't mean it's not good, just that Brock isn't doing much besides throwing RVD around.
Guest Marshall Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 JR "Heyman is a hemariod on the face of life" He says that every show
Guest CanadianChris Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Lesnar has GOT to ditch the bearhug. If there's one thing that should've been left behind in the 80s, that's it.
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Ooh, an abdominal stretch now, exciting.
Guest Shadow Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Lesnar has GOT to ditch the bearhug. If there's one thing that should've been left behind in the 80s, that's it. I have to agree with you there 100%. Paul Heyman yelling "Squeeze!" on the outside was also annoying, and very '80s-cliche. In fact, the entire Brock push seems to be one big '80s cliche. "WWE- We love big men! Even ones that aren't over!"
Guest goodhelmet Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 ::is glad he didn't order this Goddamned show:: i'm glad as well. i save the money and i don't lose my patience with inept booking. on the other hand, i'll have to wait and see what the rest of the net is thinking about this show before going out of my way to collecting any of these matches.
Guest Shadow Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 RVD's offense- exciting. Brock's offense- boring. That was a really cool legdrop, and the Rolling Thunder always gets mark-out points from me.
Guest CanadianChris Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Ooh, an abdominal stretch now, exciting. And he didn't even reach for the ropes. Isn't that one of the Ten Commandments of Wrestling?
Guest Shadow Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Okay, that reversal of the F5 was just plain awesome.
Guest Shadow Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 DQ. Yay. I predicted that before the show, by the way.
Guest Kingpk Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Fans are going nuts for RVD, yet Brock's going to SummerSlam. Ah, the DQ, the booker's best friend when painted into a corner.
Guest 4Life Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 hahahaha this is just getting better and better!
Guest CanadianChris Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 FUCK. Why couldn't the bookers come up with a decent finish tonight??? Lil' Naitch beating up Heyman was cool, though.
Guest Shadow Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Holy shit. This had better not be over. If they want to push Brock, RVD is the only guy who can bump his ass off enough to give him good matches. What an RVD chant, and here comes the Van Terminator!
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Here comes a Van Terminator! Edit: Heyman blocks it, Lesnar Superplex.
Guest chirs3 Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 DQ ending for whom? Who was the match ruled if favor of? (i'm guessing RVD)
Guest CanadianChris Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 ***1/4, ALL of it for RVD. RVD retains by DQ for Heyman pulling the ref out after the ***** Frog Splash, incidentally.
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Lesnar was disqualified when Heyman pulled the ref out to save Brock from being pinned. And now a F5 on the chair.
Guest Shadow Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 DQ ending for whom? Who was the match ruled if favor of? (i'm guessing RVD) Yeah, RVD won by DQ. But of course, RVD can't go away with the last laugh. Brock has to F5 him on the chair. Not to any substantial heel heat, but SILENCE from the crowd! This Brock push is not the next big thing, it's the next MABEL! I'm really sick and tired with the WWE's booking....
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 At least the finish didn't make RVD look weak...
Guest Kingpk Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 RVD wins by DQ, and Brock's music is playing at the end. Brock will be involved in the main too, of course.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Ooh, an abdominal stretch now, exciting. And he didn't even reach for the ropes. Isn't that one of the Ten Commandments of Wrestling? It's one of the rules to being a good heel.... but it's Brock Lesnar we're talking about. He doesn't get heel pops or face pops. He gets silence. And that's exactly what he earns with his performance... silence.
Guest goodhelmet Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 ok, i'm an rvd fanboy but i don't see the point in this match even taking place if there is a dq. instead, both competitors look weak going into summerslam. and when 3/4 of the posts discussing the match include resthold, bearhug, and abdominal stretch, i have a hard time believing this was a good match.
