Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 7, 2002 well if I used the offical fuzzy math formula I think I lost by 1 point
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Brandon Stokely and Stover got about 32 pts (17 and 15 resp.) and Jamal Lewis got 13. He racked up 180 rushing yards and over 200 total, but no TDS. Had he gotten 1, I might say I have a shot at winning with John Davis. As it stands..I really dont.. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Kerry Collins is available to any team who wants a starting QB for next week. I know there are a few teams out there (A Team, Barely Knewyas, Bellingham NO MA'AM,Space Monkeys) who could possibly use him next week, so make me an offer.. Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Just to clarify for you, Marvin...John Davis needs to score around 21 points to put you over Tom's evil Dominator squad. That's about two TDs and eight catches for a hundred yards. EDIT: And yeah, Tex - you lost by 1.01 points according to StatTracker.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Oh, and don't say foolish things like not being able to beat Power & Glory - P&G is still starting only ten players, one of which is Vinny Testaverde. It's truly a miracle (a combined miracle of Jerry Rice and Duce Staley, actually) that he's able to score 30+ points right now. Gardner's good. Lewis is good. Garcia will be good (27 points today wasn't too bad). Tim Brown is good. Olindo Mare's pretty decent. You just haven't had consistent team production. And, if you're talking about one player having a ridiculous day against your team each week, let me roll down my results for each loss I've had this year so far: Week 1: Intercourse Boxheads - Priest Holmes, 36.25 points (Four rushing TDs) Week 3: The Barely Knewyas - Tim Couch, 45.97 points (300 yrds, 3 TDs) Week 4: The A Team - Seattle-DEF, 12 points (3 INTs, 2 Sacks, 2 Fumble recoveries against a Minnesota offense that was supposed to slice them into itty bitty cubes of football flesh) The point is that this is how Football is - every week, there are 5-10 players that have phenomenal days and, in fantasy football, it's highly likely that those players are going to be on 5-10 different teams. So your luck, my luck, and some other teams' luck (Darkside, Poortucket) have been bad - it just so happens that your schedule of teams happens to have one of the best scoring averages in the league: Week 1: The A Team (3rd in Scoring) Week 2: Bellingham NO MA'AM (10th in Scoring) Week 3: Metaluna Mutants (1st in Scoring) Week 4: Poortucket Patriots (9th in Scoring) I'd say just ride the season out and see what happens - no reason to just quit out, especially when you do have some talent on the team. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Looking ahead at next week vs Canadian Pride: Shaun Alexander will probably get 5 TDS and 200 yards again, since that looks to be the only player with a good fantasy point chance..
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Well, now I KNOW you're looking for a reason to be depressed, since you just edited your message from being worried about Power & Glory in Week 9...who'll be starting a grand total of seven people. *smacks Marvin in the face* Get ahold of yourself, man! Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 7, 2002 to put you over Tom's evil Dominator squad. My squad isn't evil... they're just misunderstood.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Hmm, I still have a shot. I need about 24 points from Booker, White, and Longwell. Next week I'm fucked. Martin, Booker, and White out. I don't have enough players to fill the lineup. I should've started Maddox.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I'm glad to see that i can count on Clinton Portis to get me points now.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Barely Knewyas I am going to run up the score next week with great fury and anger unless the Browns have a good game against the Bucs I barely got past the Power & Glory team last week if it was not for the Sunday Night game performance of Moe Williams running wild on the Seahawks. Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I can't believe Vick got negative points. Redman, on the other hand had like 25.
Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted October 8, 2002 JOHN DAVIS!!! JOHN DAVIS!!! JOHN DAVIS!!! LUNATIC - Pimpin' ho's and clockin' a grip like my name was Dolemite.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted October 8, 2002 OH MAH GAWD! HE'S DONE BROKE THE PACKERS IN BY GAWD HALF! Oh, wait - that's Kane on the other channel. *groan* At any rate...kind of a pleasant (cosmic?) surprise to see John Davis pulling in more points than Anthony Thomas. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 8, 2002 Yeah, hes just a bit short though.. 2 for 12 and a TD... You can contract my team whenever you want..
Guest Leena Report post Posted October 8, 2002 John Davis scores his 2nd TD!!

Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 8, 2002 That really sucks. John Goddamn Davis...
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted October 8, 2002 Not to rain on the parade...but I think Marvin's still going to come up short...notice that when I said he needed 2 TDs earlier in the thread, I also chipped in that he'd need about 8 receptions for 100 yards. Davis ends the game with 3 receptions for 33 yards...putting him about six points short of Tom.
Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted October 8, 2002 We know, we're just trying to give out some positive reinforcement. Besides, since I got 144 mottherfuckin' points dropped on my head this week, I gotta root for SOMEONE. LUNATIC - Pimpin' ho's and clockin' a grip like my name was Dolemite. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 8, 2002 I gotta say it was cool that he scored 2/3rds of the Bears pts, and that last drive when miller threw the int had me thinking Davis could pull it off..alas, he came up short..
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 8, 2002 you think you got it bad? I lost the game by 0.19 points!!!!!!!!!!! all because Jerry Jones thought it would be cool to do some trick plays, like fake field goals even though the punter is not a good passer. Tim F'N Seder is not on the team anymore!!!!!!
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 8, 2002 I was going to write John Davis a letter to if he got the necessary stats. And Seeing as though I scored 100 pts and lost this week, Im going to ask that my team not be contracted. Scoring 100 pts is a big thing, considering last 2 weeks Ive scored 58/59 pts. Hopefully I've got my team turned around and can beat Canadian Pride this week.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 8, 2002 Is anyone still shopping RBs for WRs? If so make a trade offer to my team. I'm looking for a good backup for my Ricky Williams and Clinton Portis bye weeks.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted October 8, 2002 A winner is I. OK, so I've said for the past couple weeks that I would lose, but this coming week it actually will happen. Unless Maddox throws 7 TD's vs Cincy. You never know.
Guest cartman Report post Posted October 8, 2002 I'm a bit aggravated at the margin I lost by this week...UGH! 1-4 and I dont even have a bad team!
