Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 1, 2002 I'm planning on showing up.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted August 1, 2002 I'll be there. I just hope my sickly CPU doesn't decide to pull one of its daily lockups on me. I also hope the draft is over before Smackdown starts, since I have to recap it for the site. The time limit on picks is good, but if the computer picks for you, it typically uses all 90 seconds. Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted August 1, 2002 Well..call me crazy but anyway...Im ready to draft! YOU'RE CRAZY!!! What? LUNATIC - Pimpin' ho's and clockin' a grip like my name was Dolemite.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted August 1, 2002 The time limit on picks is good, but if the computer picks for you, it typically uses all 90 seconds. That makes sense, because you mught show up when it's your turn and you'll have time to pick. It looks like I'll probably have to work a couple extra hours tomorrow to make up for missed time tonight. Some quick math...to be done by 8 it would have to be 2 or 3 picks a minute. I think I may have to pick just the first few rounds and then leave.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 1, 2002 It shouldn't take that long. I did a public league draft yesterday. 10 teams a bunch were there 15 players per team and we were done in about 45 minutes max. So if people show up and take care of business it should be two hours max. BTW I will be there.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted August 1, 2002 UPDATE: Crisis has been averted, I don't have to work tonight. So when I get my ass handed to me I will only have myself to blame. See you guys there.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted August 1, 2002 I'll be there. I would guess that it would take about 2 hours, if most people show and everyone is a little prepared. BTW, is Jerome Drake still gonna play?
Guest MrRant Report post Posted August 1, 2002 I don't know but we have 30 min till the draft.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted August 1, 2002 It says Invalid Bytecode when I try to enter the draft. Shit. I'll try IE...
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted August 1, 2002 Ok, two things for next year 1) Fewer teams 2) Fewer teams But I got me some Booty anyway.

Guest MrRant Report post Posted August 1, 2002 Ok, two things for next year 1) Fewer teams 2) Fewer teams But I got me some Booty anyway. Means it will be tighter competition and the waivers will be ACTIVE this year.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted August 1, 2002 For those who are scavenging the waiver wire, are you able to see all of the rookies? Outside of William Green and Luke Staley, I can't find anybody that's a rookie.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I claimed David Carr off waivers, it's pending. I think there were some rookie QBs

Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Im regretting Tim Brown in the 2nd Round, I shoulda took a RB. Now Im stuck trying to figure trades out for a RB. I've got depth at WR... Well, by the time the 2nd round rolled around, there really wasn't a lot left in the RB tank...so don't feel bad. I've got a decidedly eh feeling about my draft. The fact that I have James Allan and Bob Christian as starting RBs is probably not a good sign.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Allen will put up good numbers in Houston. I don't even know who Bob Christian plays for. I've got a guy of a torn ACL (Lewis) and a backup in the Z Man (Amos Zereoue)
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Well, Christian's a pro bowl fullback on Atlanta...which has Warrick Dunn, T.J. Duckett, and (most importantly) Michael Vick to do most of their running. I really, really should have picked Zack Crockett instead in that round. *shrugs* Ah, well. Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted August 2, 2002 In other news...how in the world was Drake able to draft William Green (rookie extraordinaire) in the third round? Was he the only rookie available?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 2, 2002 I have no idea, but hes lucky..
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 2, 2002 He drafted William Green? You sure? I saw that someone had him but figured it was the team at the top of the waiver wire and got him quicker.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted August 2, 2002 Just look at the draft results - Drake picked William Green in the third round...the round that we all thought he had lost his pick.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted August 2, 2002 i put in for a trade for him right after...probably get shot down... i had him on my pre-rank but he was NOT in the list of available players wtf?
