But I was hoping to see Benoit and RVD work a longer program...I mean...RAW was the first time they ever faced each other. Eddy and RVD had worked together for a month worth of house shows leading to JD.

One person has actually tapped to that hold since Benoit came back, and before that it was disrespected left and right. Trying to escape the hold by outsmarting Benoit would have made RVD look better for outworking a technician like Chris and would have put over the hold as something to be reckoned with. For a start beniot hasn't been back that long and he has only had a few matches most were tag matches two so that's probably why only one person has tapped to it and do you think any Marks actually remember back one year ago when people were escaping the Crossface and Beniot's last Match before he left Steve Austin Tapped out to the Crossface. I agree with your point about RVD would have Looked better by Escaping the Hold.
