Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 31, 2002 What is it about little cartoon characters with big heads that curse for half and hour that is appealing to anyone after the age of 13?
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 31, 2002 well I find Kyle's mother the funniest because I had a boss that was pretty much the human form of her, and I love seeing her abused
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Actually South Park has more intelligent satire then almost anything else on TV. They are actually smart and get points across. The episode after the anthrax scares was great. The first image you see being all of the children standing at the bus stop with gas masks on was classic. Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 31, 2002 i like when Cartman and Osama had a Bugs Bunny-esque scene
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Kyles mother? ??? Keep in mind, I've seen one episode. One of them dresses up like Hitler, so the principal switches his costume to a ghost that looks like the Klan, and they scare a big black guy.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 31, 2002 they make Kyle's mother like a Jewish bitch, that really does fit the stereotype of your average lawyer, in which they care more about fighting causes, and put blames on everyone except themselves, plus they throw in some added touches, like she has a huge nose, and likes Barbara Striesand
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted July 31, 2002 People still watch South Park? Didn't that go out with Bell Bottoms or something?
Guest The Flying Dutchman Report post Posted July 31, 2002 Actually South Park has more intelligent satire then almost anything else on TV. They are actually smart and get points across. The episode after the anthrax scares was great. The first image you see being all of the children standing at the bus stop with gas masks on was classic. You explained it before I could. Damn you! The episodes "It Hits the Fan", "Cripple Fight", and "Proper Condom Use" are great examples of the satire. For those who don't know "It" was the episode where they said SHIT on TELEVISION! 162 times. At any rate... "It" - Commentary on curse words and swearing and the actual meanings of words. "Cripple Fight" - Commentary on gays in scouts and the freedoms that America provides being both positive and negative. For example, the freedom of seperate groups to discriminate. "Proper Condom Use" - Commentary about parents not teaching their kids about sex and relying on the school system to do so. Anyone who hasn't seen South Park and considers just another juvenile show needs to give it another look.

Guest Some Guy Report post Posted July 31, 2002 After reading this thread, i have to say this. It really shows how ignorant Anglesault and anyone who joined his little faction is because they have no dignity in other people's love for their nation. Hell I'm not even Canadian or American, but Hungarian. I came over to Canada when i was little. I've also lived in the states as well, and I did not like it there because of so much hatred and violence in the country that America does not even care for their home land except for others. America is the laughing stock of the world, when the elections came, Clinton scandal, and even some of the antics that Bush does, because you Americans treat other countries like shit, so you should get shitted back at you and you hate it. Hell you hate coming in second, and if you do, you whine bitch about it because this and this never happened. Tough shit. Live with it, you aren't number 1 in living or actually people coming here because there is no more American Dream anymore, or there ever will be. Many people would rather live in Canada because of the lower crime rate, no racism, multicultural. Dude, moving to Canada when you were little and (i assume) gaining citezenship there makes you Canaidian. Presumably you lived in the US before you moved to Canada "when you were little." What an observant little kid you must have been. It's funny I lived here for 21 years and teh isolated incidents of violence and hatred that I've seen happen everywhere in the world. You act liek teh Klan is still ridiang around linching blacks and there are Neo-Nazis on every street corner. That's not the case and hasn't been for a long time. America has made tremendous strides in lowering teh amoutn of racism in thr country. It was only 35 years ago that we were a segragated nation and we are pretty tolerant of others today. There are still small pockets of hatred here as there are everywhere, but racism is becoming a thing of the past, just be patient people don't change over night. I think the countries laughing at us should take a look in teh mirror, last time I checked we were the greatestr country in the history of the world. We must be doing something right. Could it be jealousy that causes this hatred? Hmmmmmmm....... We hate coming in second and whine when we don't win? Funny I don;t recal the American Hockey team whining when we lost to Canada, but I do recall a WHOLE LOT OF BITCHING from you Canucks when your Ice Dancing team lost. Hmmmmmmmmmm......... BTW we almost never lose anyway when it matters. There is no American dream? Tell that to my father who came from nearly nothign to becaome a Lawyer. Tell that to all the athletes who came from the Ghetto or the Third World who became millionaires. Tell that to all teh people who have succeeded in this country and those who who busted their fucking asses to make something of themselves without anyone's help. I'd say take your fucking head out of your ass and know what you're talking about before you type soemthing. Canada had minorites? I didn't realize that. Maybe there is less violence and racism there because you have far fewer people and far fewer minorities. Multiculturalism is just teh newest politicaly correct term for nothing. Assimilation is the best way to be successful in any country.
