Rob E Dangerously Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Some of the move names I've seen over my years in e-feds. "Sha-Na-Na" "Snap, Crackle, Pop" "Illegal in 48 States" "The Disconnection" (Tombstone Piledriver used by Leon Sharpe when I first brought him in as Hacker in 1998) "Instant Karma" (which would be the name I'd use if I was in an e-fed as "Rob E. Dangerously") what are your favorite finisher names from all the e-feds you can remember?
Guest Powerplay Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 From what I've heard, Petro the Clown had the Assclownage Piledriver of Doom. I think that takes the cake over anything I've ever even considered.
Guest Kibagami Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 The Demonstar Driver owns j00. That will be all for now. S.
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Uh... "Sin Aerial" is kickin'. I am also quite fond of the "Encore Cross" for some reason. It makes me feel weird, actually. "Finishing Touches" is bitch, and "Walk-Off" has a "IT'S OVER BAH GAWD!" ring to it. - Mike Van Siclen. His 2 cents
Guest SupaTaft Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I personally enjoy Thor's Ragnarok. It means the end of the world, and it probably feels like it if you get hit with it. -Taft
Guest Angel_Grace_Blue Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 "Snap, Crackle, Pop" Ohmygodz!! That was the name of G.O.A.T.'s horribly crappy submission move. Well, one of them, as there were quite a few. As to the actual topic, uh...I don't know... Cyclotron was quite nice...however, I think that The Elk's "Graze" is the best. Ever. Any naysayers shall be speared, grazed, and pinned in the cook-off.
Guest Beingz0wningj00 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 As Clownage Piledriver of Doom 0wnz j00 all!!!
Guest BA_Baracus Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed); "The Paranoid Freak-out and Pipe Bomb own all your sorry asses. Mothernature says..."
Guest Muzz Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Notice how nearly everyone is nominating their own finishers.
Guest midnight_burn Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I rather like 'Stigmata' as a finisher name, also Joker's Wild, Cruel Fate and The Ego Trip are current favourites of mine. I'm probably forgetting some other ones i like though.
Guest HVilleThugg Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 What did you expect Muzz...everyone are just a bunch of self-promoting whores! And so am i!! Untamed! Thugg Passion. Actually...I like the Encore Cross (although it sounds like it should be a submission finisher), The Walk Off, Joker's Wild, Xception, Soargasm, and the C-4 Crunch. Da "knows tons of finishers" H
Guest Tod deKindes Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I can't shill my Spirit Breaker enough. Other names (which aren't mine) that I've liked were Flashpoint (superkick), and ........ shit .... lousy memory.
EL DANDY~! Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Yep, I was right. No respect for the Porterhouse. Oh well. It's all about the Clownage Piledriver of DOOM! Soargasm just sounds fucking great...and Joker's Wild has always been a favorite.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I like X's earliest ones--the Xception and the Soargasm. The finisher names we all have are actually pretty good. I've seen a lot of e-feds with quite possibly the most brutally retarded names ever. Example: in one of OC's e-feds, there's a guy with a gimmick that consists of "I'm an Italian mobster type." His finisher is called...The Italia. Which translates to: The Italy. "OH MY GOD, HE JUST HIT ITALY! WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!" ...no, doesn't work for me. It's like saying "Japan Driver" or something, except even dopier.
Guest Incandenza Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 "Snap, Crackle, Pop" ::intrudes:: Hey, that's mine! Damn, if I ever got involved in an e-fed, Cereal Man will be GOLD! ::leaves you fine people alone once again::
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 "Inevitibility" is my favorite, for some reason.
Guest Insanityman Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I love the Encore Cross. The Untamed was so awesome, especially after the Zio vs Thugg match (sorry Crusen) and I had to give props to Xpection. I can't remember if it was a finisher or not... but Into The Abyss rocked.
Guest kelloggs Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Cerebral Driver, Ego Trip, Cruel Fate and Fame and Fury all have nice rings to them...
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I was always partial to the Renebreak and the Daybreak. Sarah's original Khamsin was also pretty cool, but I mainly say that because I've done it for real. I've also done a Longdogger Clogger.
Guest hhh6294 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Black Stallion 0\/\//\/z j00 all.
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 As for me, the C4 is my favorite move, both name-wise and move-wise. It's quick, unpredicatble, and can be used to counter a shitload of moves, too! You'd be surprised at what I've found out I can counter it into! I have a few more moves I may be adding to my list, and i'll be working on awesome names for all of them.
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Jeez, Ash, do you need any more named moves?
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 FYI : The total number of named moves in Ash's stats are 15 or 16, which do NOT include rare or finishing moves (which are all named), or any of Misty's, which also consist of mostly named moves. And not a lot of his moves are that commonly used for a wrestler of his stature... Ash's stats make him look like an average-built 6'5" man with the style of Rob Van Dam AND the Rock, and whoever else's style he likes or whatever.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 The Mob Hit name I used during my Mafia phase has always ruled. It could be called cliched, but it's still a perfectly descriptive name... From my old TKO to the later Inv. Swinging Neckbreaker variation. Too bad I can't even come up with names for my prime moves now, but I kind of don't need them, since it fits with Manson's fuck the world/doesn't give a damn personality. Going off the top of my head, I'll say that I like The Ego Trip name... I even used it before I quit for a Sleeper Hold Drop. And Ash, I know it's an old argument, but please don't add more names, it's bad enough as it is. IMO, no wrestler should have more than five gimmick-specific move names in their normal move set (Finisher, Signature and Common).
Guest redbaron51 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 c'mon Xero Gravity...huh huh... *goes back to sleep*
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I still love my Hollowpoint Driver and wished that I came up with my name. Massive amounts of kudos to Tom Flesher for the "Hollowpoint" part, and more to Z who added "Driver" :-D My own names? I think my best idea for a finisher name was the "Death Knell" for Allison Onita/Lady Red. That was very very good. Anyone else's? Thugg Passion is just funny as hell, I love that. Walk-Off again for that "It's over now" feel to it. Daybreak is a great name too, but moreso when you take into account it's being used by Sydney Sky. Sky... Daybreak. Plus, I've stolen the Daybreak more than I'd like to think about, usually when I was a heel not named "Lady Red". Longdoggah Cloggah is fun to say. Say it. Let it roll off your tongue. erm... oh yeah! Fame and the Fury. I love that name, although it's a bitch to call in practice. I think I only faced Erek once, and therefore only needed to try once. ugh. Yeah Ash, we love you, stop naming moves. You scare us when you do that and just for fun. -Annie
Guest ErekT2k Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Theres no "the" in Fame and Fury, Annie. This is what hardcore matches do to your head.
Guest Angel_Grace_Blue Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I know this is off-topic to the subject at hand, but if you're going to get mad at people with a lot of named moves, Divefire (No offense, Divey) has I think all-named moves, although some of the names incorporate various moves. Hmm, more finisher names...Ontario Tigertamer, Tiger McTwammer, Chris Connection, Catastrophe Driver, Divine Intervention, and the H-Cutter (With the People's Stomp. For the full story, PM me) Omygodz!! I didn't name any of my finishers!!! Probably because the names of them weren't the most creative. "Death from Above"? Stupid and laughable. "Countdown to Destruction"? Moronic, among other things. "Done and Dusted"? What does it even mean? And I'm not even going to mention the "Superhammer". God, what was I thinking back then?
