Rey vs. Knoble. Rey's lost a lot of momentum (though winning every week helps) and with Jaime pinning Moore he doesn't have anywhere to go. I don't care whether they have the feud drag out or not, they need to do this match. They need to move with these guys.

He'd definitely help it. He's already a million times more over than all the other cruisers combined. A brief run with the belt (now one of only a few WWE belts) can add some interest and prestige to the division. Maybe a long "chase" program with Noble might be in order. Have Noble cheat his ass off to beat Rey for the first time around only to lose it for good during their next showdown. Not exactly an edge of your seat feud of lies, deception, and anguish, but it's a start.

I agree that Noble vs. Rey has to be done heck even if they brought Eddie down to the cruiserweight division against Rey - it would be a big boost.

I think the thing is..you can't help but cheer for Rey. *shrugs* If they'd treat everybody like Misterio, they'd be better off for it. He got good promo packages, a strong debut, and a strong showing at his first PPV match. People also seem to care about him, which helps.

Eddie has way too much charisma to be wasted on feuds with cruisers. Maybe a match here and there against Rey and Kidman would be swell but permanently, he belongs near the top of the card.

What ECW did with Extreme the WWF did with Attitude etc.

 

I think it is likely that what NWA:TNA is doing with X Division will eventually be done in the WWE with the Cruisers. Again, not to the levels shown in the other fed, but enough to draw viewers away and put the show out of business. Oh, was that bitter? Sorry.

I was thinking this exact thing as Noble came out last night. "Why hasn't he faced Rey yet?" I asked myself this because Noble seems like a Cruiserweight juggernaut almost, having held the title since June, and that's a long time these days. Besides, I think it'd be a great match, seeing Noble's ground based offense against Rey's aerial stuff. Of course, Noble can grab air when he wants to also. Maybe they'll build to this for Unforgiven, since Rey's quasi-feud with ChuckaBillyRico is over.

I think instead of putting Eddy in the division, they should use Chavo since he's proven to be almost as badass as his uncle when it comes to being a heel.Rey/Chavo worked when they were in WCW, it would work in the WWE too if they didn't fuck it up.

Rey needs to get the cruiser strap, and hold it for about 6 months, running circles around everyone else. Parity isn't what they need in that division right now, they need a figurehead that everyone likes and recognizes. No one's going to sit on their hands during a Mysterio match, unlike something such as Knoble vs. Kidman, which, even though it could be pretty good, Rey is just so much more recognizable and enjoyable to watch. Makes it seem more special, since that's the kind of style Rey is famous for. They need to seriously reduce the number of encounters he has with hosses.

I wanted to see Noble© vs. Mysterio at SummerSlam for the Cruiserweight Title. That never happened. I'm hoping the WWE does the right thing, and books this match for Unforgiven, and I hope Mysterio pulls off the win. He would help the cruiserweight division if he was Cruiserweight Champion, just because he's the most popular cruiserweight in the WWE.

The problem with having Rey as the cruiser juggernaut is that there aren't enough cruisers around as it is so why would you want to make the rest look like jobbers? I agree that Rey should be THE top cruiser, but since there is such a shortage of cruisers, they should be focusing their attentions on making people like Chavo, Kidman, and Shannon Moore into bigger players in the cruiser division. They've done a great job making Moore look like more than just a local jobber from the Jakked/Metal days.

Right now, I could care less about the Cruiserweight title. I love the CW matches, but the title...I don't really care. Why not? Because their not making it really interesting. It seems no other CW wants the title! No one is really fueding for it. People seem to care about Nidia than the belt.

So having a real fued (FOR THE TITLE) would diffenately add more for the division. Right now it seems like a free for all. You know?

Having Rey going after the title would do nothing but good I think.

Rey's a fan favorite, Noble gets a nice response.

Both are entertaining wrestlers!

What harm can a fued for them do?

Plus it gives Rey an opportunity to do moves he can't exactly do against these bigger wrestlers he's fighting.

Rey probably had like 2 televised CW matches from what I can remember.

 

But I have to say Rey vs. Rico was a fun match to watch.

I'm pleasantly surprised that they didn't immediately give Rey Mysterio the Cruiserweight title upon his debut. Before he even got to WWE, I posted on here that it'd be a bad idea to do that. Having a "savior" for the Cruiserweight division doesn't really help it, because it makes it seem as if the guys they already have can't cut it. And you notice how whenever they bring in a Cruiser to the division, who was famous either before WWE or famous as a heavyweight, he automatically gets the belt: X-Pac, JEff Hardy, Jerry Lynn, Tajiri, Kidman, Malenko, etc. Keeping the belt on Knoble for some period of time helps the division since stars lower on the food chain than Mysterio can be elevated through chasing it.

The WWE has to do Eddy Vs Rey. Eddy is the man. Misterio is the man. They both have great matches. Against each other they had arguably the greatest US wrestling match ever.

 

Only problem is the shitty WWE style.

Oh, I agree that he shouldn't have gotten the title immediately.

 

But Rey is not doing anything right now and unless they're going to move with the Moore/Knoble feud (which should have played up on Knoble/Hurricane), they need to move on this feud while Rey's still somewhat hot. He lost some from Angle but that's almost been forgotten.
