I disagree with this attitude as well. I'll make clear that I have no problems with BPS or any of the other mods. In fact, I think BPS is probably fairer than some of the other mods. But I never understood the idea of trying to run someone off the board for the temerity of caring enough about this place to speak up when they have a problem with how the community is being run.

You know, I can't help but point out the painful irony in this: Despite the countless number of people who were banned from WDI for flaming in the flaming forum (CWM, MarioLogan) or for responding to a flame bait (Agnes), they all come and jump on us the INSTANT it happens over here.

They are simply pointing out the irony of people being banned for flaming in the flaming folder because bps is a mod here, and one of his main beefs with WDI was that they did that to CWM.

It's more the principle than the application to this specific person. Personally, I'm fairly happy with how the board is run, and do not identify with the current gripes so much. Though I am in favor of lenience in terms of banning, especially related to flaming offenses. No one can seriously argue with the last two people to be banned, however.

The only people I have witnessed get banned for posting in this folder were Smarkzones various personas.

 

And their precious BillyBump name, that Dames banned due to the # of people using it.

 

Although none of those IPs were banned...just the name.

 

I'm going to give the WDI people more credit than having this be their problem.

I said I was done here, but Im gonna defend bps21. Him and I have never gotten along, but the both of us apologized to another for past grievences. I think that shows a great example of us not taking ourselves too seriously, but Cerebus - you might as well be Marney's right hand man because you are the most arrogant and self-important person around here. I'd have to agree that bps21 is nothing more than a "glorified troll". In fact, I consider him to be more of a troll than Smarkzone ever was. The only difference between bps21 and the other trolls is that: a) he's a mod, b) he sticks unnecessary spaces between everything, and c) he doesn't have the explosive temper of the banned trolls, i.e. Jerome Drake.

This is the one and only user name that I have ever registered at these forums. I have never been banned under another alias. I can't really say that I'm surprised...you speak out against one of the mods, and all of a sudden your IP "kinda" matches the IP of a previously banned poster.
