Guest kingkamala Report post Posted September 12, 2002 I was in Academic Prep (Study Hall, if you will) and I was actually writing an RP for an old Wrestling Trivia Fed called the REW. Anyways, I was basically writing about Bret Hart doing something in....you guessed it, MSG. So, after I finished that, I looked right at the clock....take a guess. 8:46 PM. I'll never forget that in my life...for some reason I HAD to write something about NY and I HAD to look at the clock the EXACT minute they crashed into the first tower. So I went on to the next class (Modern World) as normal and didn't expect anything of anything...I mean, no one was talking about it. So, around 10:30, I was taking a walk down the hallway during the break and seeing the World Trade Center basically on fire at the top and it looked like a cigarette on a TV in an English class. I thought to myself "The bomb in 93 was in a garage, not on the top.", but I just ignored it then went to lunch. So, obviously, everyone is talking about it and stuff...so I went straight to my English Teacher (Most realiable source) and said "What in the hell is going on." and he said "2 planes hit the 2 towers, both towers are completely gone." I was just shocked. I said "They are GONE????" and he said "They just got the Pentagon too...everyone is saying it's a Terriorist attack." I then sat down with friends and just sat there thinking "What the fuck is going on." Then a girl said "OH MY GOD, THERE'S A BOMB THREAT AT PORTLAND HIGH SCHOOL" (A local high school) and I lost it. I was literally shaking to death and my hands on my forehead thinking "Am I gunna die?" Then, there was this pyscho guy in downtown Portland who had a gun and was threatening people or something. What a fucking mess. All in all, there was no bomb....the guy was arrestted, and I just ended up going home and watching 29034823094 hours of news. Fucked up day. actually it was a cap gun, and he pointed it at a bus then the rumor started
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted September 12, 2002 I was driving to school on a normal Tuesday morning in my second week at Salem State. Since the Sox were self destructing I was listening to Howard Stern, rather than the Sports station in Boston. Howard is talking about making out with Pam Anderson and then the he found out and broke the news as to the first plane hitting. My reaction was, "HUH!?!" Then they went back to their conversation and then the news of the second plane hitting got them serious. MY reaction, "HOLY SHIT! WE"RE BEING ATTACKED!" I get to school with my head held low, thinking about what's happened. I get to class (this was my second class with this teacher) and start talking to a kid about what happened. Then someone comes in and says that the Pentagon had been hit as well. This sent me and the rest of the kids in the class into somewhat of a panic. My Prof came in to start the class at 10:00 am and I asked her if we could go to the library to watch CNN. She smirked and asked, "why?" The whole class informed her as to what had happened and she and the class went to watch along with dozens of others. By this time the first tower had already fallen and we didn;t know that yet. They had a shot of the remaining tower on and a caption that said "The Sear's Tower has been evacuated." I saw the first part of the caption and just one building and though that the Sear's Tower had been hit as well. I was informed that it hadn't but that one of teh WTC towers had fallen. This provided little condolence. At this point they annouced that classes were canceled and I walked back to my car. When I got their I heard that the second tower fell. Driving home the station I was listening to played 'America the Beutiful' and for the first time in years I cried. I spent that entire day and night glued to the TV. Going to school and taking my Poly Sci classes offered very little relief from the subject for obvious reasons. When I woke up yesterday and turned the radio on and heard that song again, I cried for the first time in a year. It takes a lot to make me cry. 2,800 people died in NYC, hundreds died in DC and my country and our culture and beliefs were attacked that day and yet my Prof who had to leave the Library because she couldn't watch had the nerve to say that we deserved it a few weeks later. Guest BigPoppaKev Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Walking to the halls to third period of school. My friend stops me and goes "Dude did you hear what happened?" my response "Ummm no." He goes on to say "The World Trade Center was hit by a plane." At first I didn't really process the information because I was getting to class. I go into the class and the TV is on in class and the building is burning. It is right after the second tower had been hit. I was in shock and so was the rest of the class. My teachers daughter had been leaving on business that day so she was freaking out but luckily she was fine. On top of that her son worked in WTC 7 or one of the surronding buildings so she was panicing about that. Imagine that. Two of your children possibly dead. I can't even imagine what was going through her head.

Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I slept through the whole thing. At the time I was working 3rd Shift at my job, so my sleeping patterns were all out of whack. I woke up at 1:30 est. I had fallen asleep watching ESPN, so I thought it was weird that they would being showing footage of a fire in NYC. That's what the wideshot of NYC clouded in smoke looked like to me. As I flipped the channels, I realised that every channel had the same picture. Then I knew something out of the ordinary had happened. In a way, Im glad I didnt see those events happen live.
