Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Oh, BTW, one other thing I noticed in the TV Guide article: There's a section in there about Buffy's boyfriends. For Angel and Riley there's a "what went right" section and a "what went wrong" section. For Spike there's a "what went right" section and a "best moment" section. Nice SMOOOOOTH subtlety there on the bias, TV Guide.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 I am suprised that they didn't mention Graduation Day Pt 2 was delayed because of the weapons under the gowns.

Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Just the fact that Angel and Riley didn't get a best moment section, nor did Spike get a what went wrong section.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Ohh, so when Buffy killed Angel when he got his soul back wasn't a best moment? THE best moment in Buffy's history? That is dumbest thing I have ever ever ever heard. Riley shouldn't get any greatest moments, atleast I believe. I am going to pick up a copy tomorrow, read it, be pissed off, then write to TV Guide and tell them what they should of said and done.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Spike getting out of the wheelchair is my favorite moment in Buffy history. Spike seeing Buffy and Angel kiss last week to end the ep sure comes close though.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Also when Buffy stabs Faith, the look on her face was priceless. But I'm going to stop there because I want to save all of these moments for when the season is over, and the thread is started about favorite Buffy stuff. Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Riley shouldn't get any greatest moments, atleast I believe. How about when he left? No, wait, they spun that to make it look like it was Buffy's fault, and that she actually still wanted him. Fuck Riley.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Riley has ONE moment that I would rank as great. His realization to Xander that Buffy doesn't love him. Delivered well, meant alot. Great moment

Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Riley has ONE moment that I would rank as great. His realization to Xander that Buffy doesn't love him. Delivered well, meant alot. Great moment That Buffy doesn't love Riley? Or Xander?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 15, 2003 That she doesn't love Riley. I beleive it was when everyone was helping Xander move out of the basement. Xander said something about how great Buffy was and Riley says something like: She's the best...blah blah blah...every moment with her...blah blah blah... then... "But she doesn't love me" Xander stands there stunned while Riley goes back to moving.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 I dunno, I'd say another good moment was at the end of Hush, when Riley and Buffy sat down to talk about their jobs. That was the point where I realized I was emotionally invested in season 4. The frustration at them not saying anything.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Yeah it's weird because as much as I hate Riley...he and his relationship with Buffy is the catalyst for Hush...one of the greatest eps ever. Whedon is a friggin genius. Who else would take an episode about communication and make it a silent one.

That was the point where I realized I was emotionally invested in season 4. The frustration at them not saying anything. Yeah, that was a great moment. It was just the fact that they both could finally talk, but had nothing to say. Joss is indeed a genious.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Riley has ONE moment that I would rank as great. His realization to Xander that Buffy doesn't love him. Delivered well, meant alot. Great moment That was a really great moment. My fav RIley line was from the same ep, actually. He's just sorta staring at the Two Xander's, and goes: "You know, from a psychological perspective, this is all really fascinating. Doesn't anyone else want to lock them in seperate rooms and run some experiments on them?" And then everyone just sorta stares at him. Good stuff.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Dahhh, too much Riley love.
Guest Cavi Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Youth, you should add a "Favorite Writers" category to your thread.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Yes, that is a good one too
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Sorry, but I just remembered one more Riley moment. Something in the back of my mind must have just gotten unclogged. Tara You learn her source, and we'll introduce her to her insect reflection. Um... that, that was funny... if you um, if you studied Taglarin mythic rights... and are a complete dork. Riley Oh. Then how come Xander didn't laugh? Xander I don't know that Taglarin stuff. Edit: Then again, that's not really a moment, just a line.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Youth, you should add a "Favorite Writers" category to your thread. Done. I'm debating right now on my favorite moment...I think it might be when Buffy was awarded class protector at the prom. Touching moment and you realize that the class really does know what's up and they do appreciate her.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Yeah, but after that they never really tried to be secretive anymore. Not like they were doing that good a job of it in the first place. Edit: But it was still a good moment.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 That was very touching, but when she killed Angel after he got his soul back, I just sat in awe for a good 10 minutes.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Yeah, but after that they never really tried to be secretive anymore. Not like they were doing that good a job of it in the first place. Edit: But it was still a good moment. They didn't know what Buffy was. They just knew their school was messed up and that when Buffy was around she stopped bad things. Plus high school was over and it was ok to let the cat out of the bag. And it let her know all her sacrifice wasn't for nothing.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 15, 2003 And it allowed them to set things up for Graduation Day. Yeah, even though it lead to killing the coolest tv charcter of all time I just love the way they did season
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 It is the best season, almost every single episode is awesome.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Just had to use my 6,000th post here. I'm in a constant strugger on whether I like season 2 or 3 the best...season 2 has the strong ending with the Angelus stuff...but 3's kick ass in its own right.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 I'd say Season 3. Season 2 had some of the best Buffy moments, but it also had some really bad episodes. Season 3 was (for the most part) consistently good. Even better if you pretend the first two episodes of the season didn't happen.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Season 3 is my favorite season by far. I am watching Graduation Day Pt 2 right now on FX, and FX's editing is really pissing me off. I've seen this episode like 5 times in the past 5 months, so I know it like the back of my hand. They cut out the part when Angel is feeding on Buffy and she squeezes the helmet. And when Oz says his humus(sp) line again. Arr, it is just annoying that is all. Okay, I know I have asked this like 3 times, but can some explain to me what exactly 730 means? I know it is the date that Buffy dies, but what is the significance of the numbers 730? Please, thanks fellas.
