Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 14, 2003 The only thing that disappointed me about this weeks show is basically my own knowledge of how writing works and I basically figured out the entire finale due due to all the foreshadowing in this ep. I might be wrong but 1: the ANya Andrew talk...The 2 of them officially became friends in this scene. During their little talk I officially saw the mark of death appear of one of their heads. And I think that one will die saving the other. I won't say which(although I have a feeling who) but one of those two ain't gonna make it. 2: The Willow thing...I mean really, they were just screaming her going all powerful and doing something majorly good. 3: Faith and Buffy's speech about being the only ones with the burden and the lonliness of it (and it being a theme all year...the power the slayer must bear) baiscally told me the end of the series. I'm still hyped for it, but I don't think I am in love with the idea I think they are going with...hopefully I'm wrong. And Angel/Buffy...the last time we saw them on screen together there was kissage...I'm assuming when she went to go meet him in season 6 there was kissage...and last night there was kissage. I get the feeling the show ended a few seconds before she told him all about her Spike love and he gets all broody about it but has to help anyway.

Guest brokentusk16 Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I would much rather that Noxon wrote the show because she is the lead writer for Buffy and is a great writer. She did write my favorite episode "The Wish," so I have faith in her. Uh, you do know that it was Noxon who wrote the Ubervamp eps, right?
Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 14, 2003 What was wrong with those 2 eps. THe battledome was a little over the top...but I like them .

Guest brokentusk16 Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Noxon just wrote the first Ubervamp ep ("Bring on the Night"), my mistake. Next to the battledome ep, I thought BOTN was the worst of the season!! Just my opinion though.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Really? You thought it was worse than "Him" one of THE worst Buffy episodes EVER?
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Him was the worst of the season, but not one of the worst ever.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I didn't think "Him" was that terrible. It was a nice little comedy ep, imo.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Him was the worst of the season, but not one of the worst ever. I just didn't like it, at all. Maybe I was in a bad mood when I saw the episode, but I didn't like it what so ever.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Buffy's given us so much. I can deal with a bad ep every now and then...even the *cringes* Doublemeat
Guest Marshall Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I liked the doublemeat episode. Buffy was fun in it, which is better than serious Buffy.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Plus it has giant penises getting lopped off! Who doesn't love chopping off penises?!
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Buffy's given us so much. I can deal with a bad ep every now and then...even the *cringes* Doublemeat And Reptile Boy..?

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Anyone watch the A&E Biography? Wasn't great, pretty much told you stuff any die hard already knew. But it wasn't bad. It'll replay at 12 midnight, eastern time.
Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Thanks for the reminder Youth Bless the MCAS...get to sleep in for a couple extra hours so I'll try and catch it at Midnight
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted May 15, 2003 I thought the A&E special was ok, learned a few new things. Supprised they didn't go into the backlash of Tara's death or more in depth with at least the first half of season 7. And anybody else wonder what happened to the Scrappy gang? Guest Cavi Report post Posted May 15, 2003 I didn't think "Him" was that terrible. It was a nice little comedy ep, imo. Agreed. I also watched the Biography. As Youth said, not much most Buffy fanatics wouldn't really know, but it was well put together and enjoyable.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 And anybody else wonder what happened to the Scrappy gang? I did, a few pages ago. I'll make sure to watch the replay at midnight too.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 15, 2003 No mention of Tara's death, season 6's dark ending...or Faith
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Sounds....incomplete. There'll probably still be a good deal of stuff I didn't know though, since I didn't start following the show until right before this season. Edit: w00t! #7 poster in the thread now! Still pretty far behind Rudo though.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Seems to me the interviews took place early in Season 7's shooting. Alyson's wearing the outfit she did in the Anya flashback ep. And that part about Season 7 being the last seemed tacked on. It was pretty good. I didn't know that Joss wrote the movie too.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Well...that Biography felt like a waste of an hour. I dunno, I was expecting more than a poor recap of the show.

But Wed night tv doesn't do anything for me in the first place
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 One thing that annoyed me was the fact that they didn't mention Faith at all. It was a good biography that basically gave a summary and just a good little thing about Buffy. They could of gone into more depth, but whatever.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 15, 2003 Hell, the only major villian they DID name was the Spike/Dru/Angelus trio.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 15, 2003 I glanced at TV Guide in 7-Eleven for a second, and they had a rating for each season of Buffy. I will look at it more later on, but they gave season 3 only 2 stakes out of four, but gave season 6 four stakes. Why??
