Guest Cavi Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Best new writer - Drew Goddard. He penned "Selfless", "Conversations With Dead People" (w/Espenson), "Never Leave Me", "Lies My Parents Told me" (w/Fury), and "Dirty Girls". First two listed are easily two of my favorite from this season.

An incredible ending can make up for a lot, so I'm hoping for that (and knowing Joss, he will deliver). I absolutely hate the SiTs. I have hated the introduction of so many new characters. Andrew (even though he isn't exactly new) and Caleb are cool with me. And to a lesser extent, so is Wood. But the rest? Bugger off!

She spent YEARS not wanting to be the Slayer...and here are these girls who might have to go through the same thing she did. They were lazy and never gave me a scene where she adresses that.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Seasons 2 and 3 are great, that's know. 1's not the best, but you have to give that one a bye cause they had 12 episodes to develope characters and a storyline. I like 4, but people shit on it. I didn't dig 5 as much as everyone else did, Spike was great, but without him it would have been a lackluster season. And we all know how I feel about 6... The SITs thing doesn't work cause there is waaaaayyy too many of them...if you need extra fighters for the war at the end they could have brought the Inative in for a run in. They should have cut back on SITs and made them less bitchy...oh yeah, and they should have killed Dawn in a freak rockclimbing accident in between seasons.

When I think back to the first episode, the last few minutes when the First does the Big Bad montage, and how hyped that got me...I realize just how much of a let down this season has been. Right now I'd place it above 5 and 6, and that picture of Caleb for episode 22 doesn't inspire me to think it'll improve. I think the character is good, and should have come earlier..but they should kill him in episode 21, and concentrate on finding a way to defeat the First in episode 22. I'm worried that they won't even defeat the First, they'll just "settle" for Caleb. Heh, fixing spelling mistakes 9 hours after you make them is fuuuuuuun Edited May 12, 2003 by fazzle

I like 5 alot. I don't hate season 1. I love 2 and 3...AND 6 DAMN IT. In fact...here's my new rankings based on rewatching everything again on FX or DVD: 6. Season 4 5. Season 1 4. Season 5 3. Season 6 2. Season 3 1. Season 2

Word to that. I feel like they didn't do all they could have in regards to the Big Bad this year. Really, what has The First done? It has tricked some SiT into hanging herself, it has harassed Spike and the others...I think they could have done more. Wouldn't it have been pimp if Jenny appeared to Giles? It's like all the fear they have of the FE is just because of what it is. Granted, it is evil, and they should rightfully be scared, but it's not like it has shown some super uber power yet. Then again, I assume that is for the final battle, so. I think Caleb should have come in earlier and killed a bunch of SiTs. Also, what is with all the residents of Sunnydale fleeing? They can "feel" the evil presence? I know Clem was like "You can't swing a cat without hitting some kind of demonic activity." Why not show said demonic activity (outside of the stuff they showed going on at the school)? There have been apocalypses before and people never exactly fled. And on another note, I really liked Season Six.

Small touches, like an earth quake and water turning to blood is powerful and creepy. There have been times this season when I've been REALLY pumped for the battle with the First. The scenes where it's in Buffy's house taunting them are good. It was also cool when it was harassing Willow and it started talking to her. It's exchanges with Caleb have been good. but like outside that it hasn't really done anything. It's like...I am more hyped for the final battle because as a viewer I know this is it....not because of how good of a villain it is.

And that Caleb pic looks good! I just LOVE the whole "evil preacher" idea.
