Guest BoboBrazil Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 WWE.com has learned that Bubba Ray Dudley suffered an unspecified arm injury during his match Monday night on RAW. WWE athletic trainers were evaluating Bubba Ray's condition after RAW went off the air. WWE.com hopes to have an update on the Superstar's condition later today. wwe.com
EL DANDY~! Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Damn...so that means HHH has to let somebody ELSE put him over in a meaningless tag match...hmmmmmmmm...maybe...Tommy Dreamer?
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 My upcoming comment was probably posted somewhere on the board already... But has anyone come to the realization that this probably occured during the Triple H table spot? And none of you fuckers had better post that "Master of the Obvious" pic... I'm just gonna jump to conclusions and say that this was another muscle injury, maybe a tear, like what happened to Nash, Kane and Bradshaw. As Good Ol' JR would say, "This ain't ballet."
LaParkaYourCar Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 May I ask what was the point of telling us it happened in the table spot? We know it did.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 There was no big point, except to simply comment on it outside of a thread which I haven't participated in, or feel the need to. I saw this thread first, so that's when I felt like jumping in. As I just stated, "was probably posted somewhere on the board already..." But I didn't feel like wasting my time in searching for comments. I usually don't read the One and Only Raw Thread, and I didn't tonight, which is probably where the spot was commented on. So forgive me for not keeping up to snuff on the happenings of the board and every blurb, but still wanting to say something about tonight's match.
Guest Mad Dog Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Probably the best thing that could happen with Triple H about to bury him like all the others.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Does this mean that HHH will be forced to face RVD again at the next ppv? Cause this time he has to put him over...no question. If RVD put HHH through the table when Bubba ot hurt...the heat went right back on to RVD/HHH and not Bubba/HHH. Flair doesn't have to wrestle on the ppv...but the "World" champion does. And I only see one viable challenger left. So...will RVD beat HHH at No Mercy in a case of a somewhat happy accident? And if so...why does it take an injury to put this into play after this long?
Guest Mad Dog Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Those would all be true if it was anyone other than Triple H. Remember during his push from hell he broke all the face/heel rules. Including retaining at WM and not losing clean to anyone. Hell Vince had to take the fall for the title to be removed from Trips at one point. If it's Trips/RVD again I bet Trips goes over clean this time.
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 jeez Who did he clothesline to cause that? bicep and Quad injuries they just plague the WWE. Welp another hoss bites the Dust DOOP DOOP DOOP Another Hoss Bites the Dust...and another one gone and another one gone Another Hoss bites the Dust...Kane..they gonna get you too Another hoss Bites the DUST!!! Takes a breath... of course I was paraphrasing that classic song . Sorry Bubba about the arm, that sucks man.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Man it's weird how all these arm injuries are connected. Kane was feuding with the nWo back when they were around and X-Pac had just joined. Suddenly Nash tears his bicep and takes off. Kane then continues to battle the group and suffers the same injury. Kane returns months later and begins a battle with the Unamericans and is joined by Bradshaw. Bradshaw tears his bicep while teaming with a man who just came back from the same injury and while battling the Unamericans. Bubba takes Bradshaw's place in the battle with the Unamericans and the next night hurts his arm. It's all semi-linked.....hmm......RUN HURRICANE! YOUR ARM IS IN DANGER!!!
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I thought HHH might have been hurt the way he knocked off the corner of the table. I guess RVD vs HHH is pretty much a lock for No Mercy..
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Wait, they don't know what's wrong? They knew what was wrong with other injuries pretty damn quickly... (conspiracy theorist on) Maybe that was planned in advance so to outsiders it would be a plausible reason for Buh-Buh to not challenge for Trips's title! Trips: Hey, fuck up the powerbomb through the table. Buh-Buh: Why? Trips: So you can be injured and not challenge me so I can squash RVD some more. Buh-Buh: I dunno... Steph: You WILL be injured! Buh-Buh: Fine... (conspiracy theorist off) I hope it isn't too bad of an injury. I could have seen Buh-Buh challenging for the IC title with how he was being built. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest RedJed Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Should be interesting to see how this happened exactly if he fucked up his arm bad. Basically I would assume HHH didn't do his part in the spot and Bubba had to compensate for it. Could be wrong though.
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 guess that takes out Dudley boys Version 2 and Spike will be flying solo on Heat.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I actually thought that, if anyone, it was HHH who would've gotten injured in that table spot. What was up with that powerbomb onto the edge thing? Was that because Bubba lost balance when he got injured? It'd seem to make sense, but then Bubba almost killed Storm on Sunday...
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Well HHH just isn't accustom to being in those Big Moves anymore, I mean who was the last one to Powerbomb HHH... Answer Undertaker at Wm 17. and when was the last time HHH went through a table that wasn't an Announcer table? Probably back in the Cactus Jack days.... the 97 days. You'd think that they would practice these Spots before the matches. We heard when Kurt and Shane was in a program at KOTR 2001, We heard word that Shane was training to use the Olympic slam. If they didn't practice it then its a Fubar incident that HHH can be blamed for being the clumbsy Bookerman.
Guest AndrewTS Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Bicep tear...I swear, it's gotta be a bicep tear! HHH, Nash, Kane, and now possibly Buh Buh...those big ol' hosses--they ain't what they used to be. Although at least Buh Buh would have a viable reason to be injured, unlike those others. We all know a stiff wind will injure Nash these days, and Kane's was probably a matter of not stretching previously, but Buh Buh got injured doing a table spot at least. Although I hope this doesn't mean tables will be banned. Bad timing too, since everyone was getting the injury at a time just before a big push...except for HHH, who came back and immediately was pushed some more, and handed a title...blah.
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I think they used the edge of the table so that Van Dam could go through Triple H and the rest of it. Just me though.
Guest Prince Paul Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I knew something happened as RAW went off the air. I wasn't quite sure if it was Bubba or Trips at first. /HHH bashing mode on: "Bubba's injury is not as INTENSE as my QUAD tear. Make sure to job him OUT-UH, when he comes back. /HHH bashing mode off.
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I'm surprised HHH didn't break a rib because the bump he took was sick.
Guest nikowwf Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Did Bubba getting hurt possible spare us Bubba vs. HHH and get us an RVD / HHH rematch? Niko
Guest humongous2002 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Damn why didn't Bubba crippled HGH with that stiff powerbomb?
Guest The Tino Standard Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Hebner put up the fist after talking to Triple H after the table spot, the universal sign in referee code that the wrestler is OK. Apparently, he should've asked Bubba too.
Guest BifEverchad Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 While everyone creamed themselves in the One and One RAW Thread last night about how they thought Triple H got injured with that table spot, I was one of the only ones there who spotted the real incident, right away: Hate to burst your bubbles fellas, but it looked as if BUBBA was the one who got injured, NOT TRIPLE H. As Bubba went to Powerbomb Trips, he lost it and Trips went through the corner of the table, then Bubba held his should/arm.
Guest Ace309 Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Flashing back... Bubba and HHH are laying on trainer's tables in the back, Bubba clutching his arm, HHH angrily staring down a paramedic. Paramedic: Mr. Bischoff, it looks like he may have suffered a concussion. He's having random fits of rage, and his speech is very slurred. HHH: Eric-uh, tell-uh him I'm-uh okay-uh. This has been Unnecessary HHHating with the SWF's Superior One, Tom Flesher.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Yeah, I spotted the real injury too. It was pretty obvious. I don't see why people thought HHH was injured.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I didn't spot the "real injury"... the reason I thought HHH was injured was because I've never seen someone go through only a portion of a table before. Simple as that.
Guest buffybeast Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 I hope Bubba's injury is not severe and he comes back quickly. I just love Bubba. He's so sexy.
Guest The Flying Dutchman Posted September 24, 2002 Report Posted September 24, 2002 Should be interesting to see how this happened exactly if he fucked up his arm bad. Basically I would assume HHH didn't do his part in the spot and Bubba had to compensate for it. Could be wrong though. Well, I've got two thoughts... First of all, the powerbomb setup is victim controlled...so if the problem was HHH getting up right for the bomb, then HHH is to blame. Quite frankly, that's one part of what happened, IMO. HHH looks like he's been sandbagging lately to me. The other thing is if Bubba had Trip up for the powerbomb, but a muscle ripped or slipped or something ala bicep tear or quad rip, then he can hardly be blamed for the miss. You don't tear muscles on purpose and I don't think anyone could hold up HHH's roided ass for even a short time with a torn muscle.
