I loved the ending.

Like I said...the last half of the season I was kind of scratching my head about some of the choices (amnesia angles are bad...and after the 264th kidnapping I kind of lost interest in that)

But from the moment Jack realived the phone was a bomb until the end was awesome.

Especially the way he took out everyone at the port.

It was all worth it.

I was surprised that his wife got it in the end...I thought that was a little forced, since they went so far the other direction it just seemed a little too late to turn back.

But I appreciated the effort, and it certainly hooked me for the next season.

I had better stay away from here on Tuesdays.

I get to watch 24 early just like I do a lot of other shows.

Hmm..

A few things....the amnesia angle was the worst plot device of the show, I personally hated it and it's the only thing that prevents me from giving ***** to the show. (Still the best show I've seen though) Kim getting kidnapped for a second time was kinda like "come on guys, be original".

As for the ending, I read in the paper the day of the finale that there were 3 endings to the show and the decision was going to be made at the last minute as to which one they were going to air. Only one is on the DVD, the one where Teri is found perfectly safe. In the other, she is shot but still survives. The season 2 "teaser" on the DVD is absolutely pathetic.

The commercials that have been running of Fox go like this:

You see Jack Bauer sitting in a room, with a full beard and a pained look on his face. The phone is ringing and he's very hesitant to pick it up. The announcer says a few things to hype the next season.....and then Jack finally picks up the phone and says "Hello, Mr. President".

THAT....was better than what was on the DVD.

Has anyone seen the commercial for the new season of 24? Not the teaser, the 30 second commercial with Mason, Kim, a Manuel Noriega type and Palmer as President? The new season looks AWESOME.

Have you all heard that this sniper business is causing Fox to pull the 24 teasers from the DC area? (supposedly it features crosshairs or some shit)

Keifer must be pretty pissed...first Phone Booth, now this.

As long as Kiefer gets his paycheck with all those zeros at the end of it, he'll be fine.

I can't wait for the season premiere.

The first season of 24 was delayed because of the WTC attacks. They had to edit out the plane blowing up in the first episode and try and phase out the plane crash for the rest of the show. Kiefer just can't get a break.

Was the DVD version of the plane explosion the uncut one? I seem to remember actually seeing it explode (I don't have my discs with me right now).

No, the DVD version was the same as the TV airing. Basically, you see the exit door blow, Mandy fall out...and you see HEAR the explosion and see the debris behind her, but no plane exploding on camera.

This was one of the few shows last season that I made sure I taped or was there for every single minute. Just a lot of fun, and the ending where Jack's pumping rounds into Drazon off the pier is just kick-ass.

The new season's going to kick ass, and we can only hope more people follow Ford's lead and just sponsor entire episodes. At least for the finale and during sweeps.

OK, we're 13 hours away from the most eagerly-awaited season premiere of the fall. So while you're counting down the hours, here are some pretty glowing reviews of the new episode (it's nice to get validation from the critics once in a while).
