Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted September 29, 2002 The WWE has tried it's hardest to eliminate the dangerous moves and injuries are still fairly frequent. They need to stop encouraging all their wrestlers to be Hosses if they really want to cut down on injuries.
Guest Brian Report post Posted September 29, 2002 I still say that the main problem is the ropes. They do it for effect rather than safety, and you end up with people putting pressure on their knees that normally wouldn't be neccessary, plus the ACL tear. Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted September 29, 2002 Good point, mad Dog but still Benoit doesn't NEED the Dragon Suplex so it's hard to justify it's danger.
Guest MrRant Report post Posted September 29, 2002 I would agree. Busting out that or the Tombstone everyonce and awhile probably isn't to much of an issue.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted September 29, 2002 Actually, Benoit used the Dragon Suplex at WM 2000.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted September 29, 2002 I agree that Benoit doesn't need the dragon suplex. I just find it funny that New Japan and CMLL have no restrictions and they have fewer injuries than the WWE who tries to protect the talent.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted September 29, 2002 Gee..I wonder..could it be because some of the "talent" in the WWE have none? Naah..
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted September 29, 2002 Don't forget the Main Event Triple Threat, and Shane McMahon bumping like a madman. Don't forget THE TLC MATCH!!!

Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted September 29, 2002 To do that, he has to upset someone with lots of crediblity with it. Does anyone see this happening? No one other than Jericho, who's credibility isn't exactly that high anyway. Personally I think the move is not a good finisher and quite visually unimpressive by today's standards. But if they do decide to build it up, I think most of the work has to be done by the commentators. I would agree. Busting out that or the Tombstone everyonce and awhile probably isn't to much of an issue. I don't think the Tombstone should be used as a transitional maneuver in the WWE simply because it's so well protected right now that if it's not used to finish a match, a lot of fans would be confused. I nearly shat myself during the Benoit/Angle Tombstone reversal spot at Unforgiven, thinking Benoit was going to bust it out, but it ended up being a shoulderbreaker, which was still very cool.
