Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Ugh, WWF already has one undersized wrestler in Spike. Why bring in another, even if he is good? They already have a bunch of over grown goofs also. Why keep Albert around?

Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Goodear, you make an excellent point. But do you really think Guido will be successfully packaged and promoted by WWF? And do you think his gimmick as an angry midget Italian will get over with the fans? Well I have my doubts that WWE can properly promote anyone well anymore, heck they can't even get Albert to put clothes on But Guido, aside from his size, is perfect for a WWE ring since ... 1) He doesn't really have a whole lot of maneuvers in his moveset and none of them are outrageous, so he won't have to deal with a great amount of WWE's move restrictions and adjust to them. 2) He would fit in fine with WWE's "new direction" of submission based mat wrestling. 3) The hot blooded midget thing works great in WWE since there are so many huge guys hanging around, making it all the more comical when Guido gets all uppity with,,, say Kane. It'll be like Bob Holly's old Big Shot gimmick but with an all around better performer. Plus he has the chin flicking thing... yeah.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Guido's size won't be an issue if they have him in the CW division.

He doesn't work the same head dropping style and actually could go more than 10 minutes without dying.
Guest BlackRainbow1025 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I agree, if he's in the CW division, how can he be undersized? He's bigger than Misterio. Regardless, they will not sign him. They have to save that money to pick up guys like Ron Harris or Brian Lee or something.
Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Brian Lee...man, he came back out of nowhere. And come to think of it, he's big, has good hair and is tight with UT, so his contract's probably already in the mail. Heat is just boring now...they seem to have the same couple guys every week doing the same couple matches...it's just background noise for me I know. Every week it's Stamboli, Credible, etc. And all they ever do is lose to D'Lo. They need to have some shifts in who gets what show from week to week. As it stands, Heat is almost like a third brand. Give these guys a match on Raw once in a while and put Nowinski or Bubba in a Heat match. If you keep the guys only fighting in their own little groups, you run out match combos quick. Wow, that was such a great decision putting the titles on 'Cane and Kane. At least let Helms win a friggin' Heat match! Have a heart...Steven's only win since the Hardcore Title push was Crash Holly. Hurricane already got a hell of a break winning the tag title on his debut. It's like he's in danger of being thrown to the bottom of the card (at least not this fast). Hey, and maybe this is the start of the RICHARDS PUSH!!! YEAH!!!

To be honest, Guido was one of the few things I liked in the waning days of Heyman's lil' troupe, especially when they axed the overt FBI goofiness and put him over as a shooter (even though he lost almost all of his marquee matchups). I just don't think that Guido could get over with the majority of the WW_'s fanbase, even in the cruiser division. I also have no faith in the WW_'s ability to use him effectively, considering their track record with guys who a) come from ECW and b) are under 6'2". Sure I'd like to see him in the WW_, but that glass is looking awfully half-empty...
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Hindsight being 20/20, Vince should have pulled his head out of his ass and let ECW be their own faction in the InVasion. It would have made people like Guido and Mikey (before he retired) into a credible wrestler if they went out there against WWF and WCW guys. But this IS the WWEEE we're talking about.
