WWE style Eliminators

Assuming that the WWE was going to make a version of ECW's Eliminators, who do you think should be on the tag team? I'm thinking Kanyon and D'Lo.

They were going to have Hugh Morrus and Saturn be the tag team. I wouldn't mind seeing them as a tag team. It could have been interesting. I'm sure that plan is scrapped now though, since Hugh is a trainer for Tough Enough 3.

I want to see Shelton Benjamin dive off balconies and fight bald guys.

I'd go with Kanyon and Saturn. It seems like D'Lo's moving at half the speed and intensity he used to in his heyday (especially when he jumps and throws punches), and a team like the Eliminators should be predicated on hard-hitting and crisp maneouvers. Besides, Saturn's a given, and I don't think someone like D'Lo could match his intensity.

Maybe I'm just soured on D'Lo's prospects since the whole turban-wearing Lo Down fiasco and his annoying Heat commentary, but I don't see much for him in the future unless he raises his game to a higher level. Right now he's stuck at Randy Orton when he should be at Chavo Guerrero.

Well, TE3 already finished filming, or is close to it, and Saturn should be back sometime within the next couple months. But who knows if they're still going to be carrying through with the original plan of Saturn and Morrus.

Now that Pop Culture God mentions it, Benjamin could be a good fit. Ideally, I'd just find a way to team Saturn with Kanyon.

Some good ideas here, but I liked the original idea of pairing Saturn with Bill DeMott. I think they'd make a solid tag team together. Kanyone is another good option as well.

Hard hitting and crisp = The Eliminators? Ooooookay. Honestly Saturn and Kronus were all about just one thing, spots. Beyond that, there was nothing really to the Elims. Saturn made a much better partner for Raven and Benoit while in WCW, in my opinion.

Considering the Eliminators sucked ass and were spot workers, I think it would be best if the WWE modeled their tag teams around past teams that worked.

Saturn and O'Haire.

End of debate.

I could do without Sean O'Haire on my TV.

Dare I even ask what you have against poor, dear O'Haire?

What never impressed you about O'Haire? Was it his agility for a big guy? Was it his sheer intensity? Was it his look? Was it his large moveset?

I am honestly confused. Enlighten me.

Touché,

I was thinking mainly of their finisher and how no matter how shitty they were during a match, you could more often than not count on them hitting Total Elimination pretty sweetly.

And besides, think of the name; does D'Lo Brown sound like an "Eliminator", or does Kanyon? Or Raen for that matter? D'Lo is more of a loud, brash, head-bobbing "soft" wrestler with whom I associate "turban" and "shaky shaky legdrop". He and Saturn (or any other "tough" wrestler") would not mesh.

Saturn and Kronus (if he can get back in shape) are the only true eliminators

if they don't pass the AS Rub scale, they must be Fired and beaten half to death out in the back alleyways with Angle's Gold medals....

hehehe J/k

Why not just hire the now bloated, Blade happy waste of space, cant fly to save his own life Kronus to team with Saturn?

Saturn and Raven or Malenko would be cool.

Malenko is retired in case you didn't know

added note: i am sorry. i just noticed that you are a mod. i tak that back

Well, he's semi retired. They haven't really had a program for him in a while and he basically has assumed the road agent duties. But he said he'd still like to wrestle given the proper circumstances.

On the subject of the Elims: Saturn and Kanyon. Kanyon and Saturn are two innovative wrestlers who are very fluid in the ring. It doesn't have to be Elims style offense, but a high-impact, good double-team offensive attack.

On the subject of Deano Machino: Two words to the people in the back to change their minds about Malenko not being able to work anymore: Malenko/DRAGON!

i say just bring back kronus, all 700 pounds of him

Kronus is still around? I haven't heard anything about him.

Saturn is one of the trainers on TE3??? Why is TE3 starting in 2002 anyway didn't TE2 run in early 2002? Isn't this supposed to be a yearly thing?

Okay back to the subject at hand. Can Saturn rebound from the whole Moppy thing and be taken serious?

maybe, but he would need eye surgery 1st, than he would be taken seriously

I'm thinking Kronus is featured in XPW, but that might've changed since I last checked a few months ago.

And let me clarify. Hugh Morrus is one of the trainers on TE3, not Saturn. Saturn is still out with a knee injury he suffered earlier this year, but is due to come back in December, give or take a few weeks. However, I just looked up his profile on Gerweck, and I don't know how reliable they are when it comes to contract dates, but apparently he's only signed through Jan. '03.

And Saturn already was rebounding. Sometime before he got injured, he dropped the goofy tights he wore under the Moppy gimmick, and was getting decent reactions from fans...along with putting on some good matches.

Perry Saturn & Bill DeMott is who is should be. I mean, Bill DeMott is at least as good as schwag-ass Kronus. He's better in my eyes. I have always liked Bill DeMott. Ever since he was Goldberg's first victory, all the way up to his US Title days.

Shawn O'Haire is a good second choice. I wouldn't mind seeing him with either Saturn or DeMott. O'Haire has "the look." Sometimes, that's all you need, but he has so much more.

In my EWR, I teamed O'Haire w/ Stasiak and called them "Lethal Injection." Now with Stasiak gone, that's not a possibility. O'Haire sure could go the roundhouse kick of Total Elimination though.

I'm starting to believe you hate anyone who stands over 6'1"

Why not put O'Haire & RVd together? RVD isn't ready for a higher card spot (thanks Hunter ;) ) They just look like they would click together.

Also, I think they should have put Orton & Cena together and kept shoving both of them down the fans throats, until the fans turned on them both. Then you make them a full blown Heel team.

If we were going for New Eliminators, you'd have to at least have the member of the team that's on your roster. Plus Rico is unsalvalgable as a serious character.

D'Lo is more of a loud, brash, head-bobbing "soft" wrestler with whom I associate "turban" and "shaky shaky legdrop". He and Saturn (or any other "tough" wrestler") would not mesh.

D'lo = soft??!! Besides, he and Saturn were a tag team for a little while.

Why did they drop the Moppy gimmick anyway? It was getting over with the fans really well, soemthing saturn hadn't been able to do till that. They made a T-shirt and then they went and dropped it like a week later.

xpw fired kronus

Now THAT'S an insult. Why?

I could totally see Rob Van Dam trying to get him to calm down all the time. If O'Hare could act those could be classics.
