Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 2, 2002 By not defending your opinion you look like an idiot. I just sit back and enjoy it?? BUT IT BORES THE SHIT OUT OF ME. Now I know don't watch argument but I only watch RAW for Regal and BookDust. HHH bores me to tears. Flair is just useless, Jericho is a joke, RVD is doing nothing, Bubba Tough is the most protect person on the roster, Kane is getting shoved down our throats, BookDust are jobbing left and right, Regal joins Team Canada and they break up two weeks later, Jeff Hardy wrestles the Big Show two straight weeks, Hurricane is on RAW despite being a cruiserweight, Randy Oroton gets to beat Lance Storm and Christian two weeks in a row despite not being over and botching both his finishers and instead of calling matches JR and King diss football. Now how can I just sit back and enjoy it?
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 2, 2002 The only reason they protected Bubba was so he could job to Triple H clean.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 2, 2002 But they've been protecting him pretty much since WWE split in two. The one he tapped out to the Walls JR was like: He's still Bubba Tough I tell yea
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 2, 2002 First of all fair weather fans like you are the reason that the WWE is in the situation it's in now. It's wrestling, it is always wrestling. Stop complaining and just enjoy it. So because you are a person who doesn't even watch the shows I will save my opinions for someone who is a "Real" fan. So instead of answering my questions, you just attack me and the reasons for what I want to watch. I like Smackdown. I look forward to Smackdown and watch it every week. RAW is unwatchable. It's not my fault that WWE made it so. They put themselves in that situation, not "fair weather fans". I will not just "sit down and enjoy it" just because you tell me to. What kind of reasoning is that? I am not obligated to watch RAW every week, especially if it's in a direction that I do not agree with. Try defending your opinions instead of making cheap cop-outs. Like I told you last night, I don't feel the need to defend my opinions, although I have already, because they are my opinions. They aren't right or wrong, they are my opinions. And I wasn't "attacking you". Yet you still can't answer a simple question about the direction WWE is "seemingly" going. That has nothing to do with defending opinions. Oh wait, it was because I am not a worthy enough fan because I don't want to watch RAW. How forgetful of me.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Who's got the facts though? We all know that Kane's not getting the best of reactions. But where's people with the ratings plus-minuses and stuff. If it was wretsling, I'd probably be watching it. Well, maybe not. For Regal and Golddust.
Guest notJames Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Stop complaining and just enjoy it. Not to interject into such scintillating debate, but that is the worst response you can give to anyone, be they a wrestling fan, a football fan, a movie buff, etc. To use your terms, "fair-weather fans" who don't enjoy something usually change channels right away. People who watch AND complain consistently are more than likely the hardcore audience who kick themselves aching for their favourite product to either reach its potential or return to its once-great past. Nine times out of eight, when dealing with a sub-par product, "stop complaining and just enjoy it" are not options you can take easily. You can't put crap on a plate and expect people to dig in. If you're selling a product that not only fails to appeal to a new audience, but consistently disappoints your core audience, is it right for you to tell them to just "shut up and buy it"? Economics 101 would tend to disagree...

Economics 101 would tend to disagree... I understand what you are saying, but as a wrestling fan I watch no matter what. I have watched every NWA-TNA show. I watched the WWA shows, and I go see local shows all the time. Now, you might ask aren't those pretty shitty. Yes, but I enjoy wrestling and the entertainment aspect. I am not going to be one of those guys that bitch and complain just because "I" didn't like it. Those guys are putting on a show for us and we shouldn't be so critical of them. This is why Jericho went off on internet fans a while back. Constructive critisim is one thing, but being a baby is another.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Oh. My. God. So I guess what I need to do is: -buy a cable box -buy every WWE and NWA PPV, as well as WWA shows -go see local shows no matter how bush league they may be -like whatever I see, no matter what Keep in mind that I am going to school and I don't have an infinite supply of money. If that is what I have to do to not be "a baby" and to be a real fan, then screw you or anyone else who thinks that way. Including Jericho.

Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted October 2, 2002 I am from UK, so I don't have to pay for this pile of shit. Seen as though it's free, and I am a loyal WWF fan, I will watch it.

I'm done discussing this matter with you if you have to act like a child. Someone didn't notice how it was a "if-then" statement. But I guess since you were personally insulted by it, then it did apply to you. You weren't even discussing any of the points I was making anyways. So no big loss.
