Guest Leena Report post Posted October 6, 2002 The games are about to start. I'm looking forward to another week of total domination. Good luck~!
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 6, 2002 Lets see.. 6-8 for the early games, missed Carolina and Dallas..close games so I dont feel bad..
Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 6, 2002 Damn. I just noticed I put the wrong team in bold for one of my picks. Gah. Oh well. I guess I have to root for Jacksonville now, since I meant to pick the Eagles.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 6, 2002 lol.. I thought you were with me that Jax could beat the Eagles.. The Jags are winning early 3-0..
Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 6, 2002 I thought you were with me that Jax could beat the Eagles.. I guess I am now. I certainly didn't mean to be, but I ended up in that boat. Ah, well. Jax can win, as long as it's not a lopsided score: I have the Philly defense in my "real" fantasy football league (the one that plays for money).
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 6, 2002 well I have 5 wrong so far damn you Pats, Cowboys, Titans, Chargers
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 6, 2002 That Jacksonville pick makes up for Denver blasting the Chargers.. Man, the Jags were all over McNabb that last drive, they punt and Shaw got a big time punt return for the TD.. And KC pulled out a late TD to get the 4 pt lead late over the jets who didnt look that bad today..
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 6, 2002 Well the JETS had a chance to win but could not make that so important tackle with 30 seconds left in the middle of the field.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 6, 2002 Im 9 and 3. Good shot at 11 and the bonus with the Ravens and Packers tonight/tomorrow.. I just realized if the Ravens win they'd be in first place in the AFC North based on % pts. Ravens are 1-2, Browns are 2-2. The Steelers are 1-3 and the Bengals are 0-5. The AFC North is probably going to come down to the Browns or the Ravens unless the steelers shape up..
Guest Leena Report post Posted October 7, 2002 9-3 so far for me. So average. At least my tie with the Lunatic will be broken tonight when the Ravens play against a team who will try because they hate them quite a bit.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I'm 9-3 also. I guess that Jacksonville mistake ended up being pretty good for me after all... I really thought about taking the Giants over Dallas. The Giants have a habit of forcing their opponents to play the Giants' brand of sloppy, slow football. Good teams can overcome that, and I should have relaized that Dallas wasn't good enough to do that. Oh well. Two more wins means I get the bonus, even though I have to root against my Ravens to get it.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Why in the hell did I pick the Jets? Jesus. I picked the JAgs in the smarktalk thing...but I went with Philly here? Man...I knew I wasn't feeling well when I did that...but what the hell was I on?
Guest Leena Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I was wondering the same thing, bps... but I'm allowed to give Kingpk a hard time with his predictions.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Yeah, yeah. *Mumbles something about sticking a tennis racket in some orifice* At least I've done better (8-4) so far.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I said it was an easy week. 9-3=easy week, especially when I had the Jags and Skins which some people picked against..
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted October 7, 2002 9-3 so far, but damn, I picked Jax originally, then switched to Philly before I hit the button to post.
Guest Leena Report post Posted October 7, 2002 It wasn't an easy week, though. So many of those games could have went either way. I knew I should have picked Jacksonville.. always go for the slightly weaker home team in an interconference matchup. The Skins really was an easy pick considering Tennessee's defense was all banged up, I have no idea why Tennessee was favored by 5 1/2. Atlanta's offense matched up perfectly with Tampa, but they played like shit to piss me off and realize how much research is overrated.
Guest Leena Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Bah, Ravens 13-0 at half. They're gonna win.. Redman actually looks good in this game.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Ravens win a close one..a thriller.. 10-3, another good weekend..
Guest Leena Report post Posted October 7, 2002 The Browns came back late in the 4th.. I should have bothered to watch. Ugh. Anyway, GO BEARS~! so nobody gets bonus points.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I know I took the Browns in that one, but I really couldn't root against my Ravens. Apparently, I overestimated the Browns' ability and desire to ramp up their game, beat the team that left their city, and take over first place. Losers. Anyway, I'll take 9-4 going into Monday night since the Ravens got a key win.
