EL DANDY~! Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 Right now, in Japan, Osamu is considered the top technical wrestler. Ok. Maybe not ALL Japan, but definitely in NJPW. If he and Benoit went at it right now, any chance it could be better than Benoit/Angle? I think it has a chance, but I don't know...Benoit/Angle is YOUR WWE match of the year...
Guest Jubuki Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 If this is just a thought, it's a good warning to stop thinking.
Guest J*ingus Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 How about explaining why you don't like his idea? Enlighten people like me who've never seen Nishimura.
Guest Jubuki Posted October 4, 2002 Report Posted October 4, 2002 Nishimura's a fine worker. But Benoit, he is not. Even Benoit isn't Benoit - at least not 1995-97 Benoit, that is. And haven't we all seen enough, "Hey D00D, wouldn't it be kewl if we could have this 733+ dream match?!? It'd be TOOO SWEEEEEEEEET" crap for one lifetime?
Guest J*ingus Posted October 4, 2002 Report Posted October 4, 2002 Gotcha. On that note, I'm still pissed that we never got to see a Hansen-Brody match. Dontcha just hate it when the brutal murder of a human being messes up your sports entertainment desires?
Guest razazteca Posted October 4, 2002 Report Posted October 4, 2002 I thought that Nishimura was a tall out of shape jobber. I think he is the only wrestler ever to use a headlock resthold in Mexico in a match vs Dr Wagner earlier this year on CMLL

I can understand getting frustrated and all, but seriously, there's other boards or no board at all. You don't want to have to wade through it, why then? I enjoy it for the random questions and opinions. So what if there's a few turkeys out there, it's certainly not the majority. If you can't ask a stupid question from time to time then how are you going to learn? Not everyone has racks and racks of videos to pull from to teach themselves.
Guest PlatypusFool Posted October 4, 2002 Report Posted October 4, 2002 Nishimura is a GREAT technical wrestler, and a lovely reminder of the old school wrestling beliefs. I love him, but I can see why he doesn't really suit the lucha environment. Also, the original question WAS very moronic, and deserves the mild flaming El Dandy received. Trust me, Jubuki could have been a million times worse anyway.

Guest BigPoppaKev Posted October 5, 2002 Report Posted October 5, 2002 Osamu Nishimura is a awesome wrestler. I mean he might not be flashy and do high flying moves but I really love him. Him and Benoit could put on a clinic.
