Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted October 4, 2002 On WrestlingObserver.com, it said Chris Benoit will challenge Brock Lesnar at an upcoming Edmonton house show. That would be a hell of a match.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Hell of a bad match. Why don't they just run Chris over with a car 17 times? it would kill his heat easier.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted October 4, 2002 It wouldn't be a bad match. Brock is a fine worker and Benoit is great, where can you go wrong?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Three words. Three minute bearhug. And Brock isn't "fine." He's passable.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 4, 2002 And it's just a house show. You need to calm down there.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Oh, By the Way, Brian, I wanted to ask you...Did you see how Angle and Edge worked the sitting down bearhug last night? Pressure was applied and it didn't take up copious amounts of time. THAT'S how you do it.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Maybe Benoit will stiff the hell out of him and get pushed down the card with Angle until they put on another pointless ****+ match and are demoted to giving Trips rimjobs. (Anglesault mode off) Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 4, 2002 I saw it. Yes, pressure was applied, but Brock works the bearhug well for a guy who's obviously supposed to apply it as long as he does.

You say it like it's not true. Well, maybe not the stiffing or rimjobs, but everythine else. I saw it. Yes, pressure was applied, but Brock works the bearhug well for a guy who's obviously supposed to apply it as long as he does. I don't even remember anything setting up the three minute love hug. Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted October 5, 2002 Is it just me or does it seem like WWE is throwing out this little nugget of info for a reason? Do you think perhaps they might do a title switch? It's probably just wishful thinking on my part, but I don't recall specific house show matches being announced before. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 5, 2002 I remember a few matches being announced ahead of time for house shows. I get the feeling this match is only happening to draw more fans with the premise that they'll see Benoit vs Lesnar first in Edmonton..
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted October 5, 2002 Brock vs. Benoit will be great, though Benoit will lose.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 5, 2002 Brock vs. Benoit will be great, though Benoit will lose. Why will it be great? Brock hasn't had anything resembling a good match except with Rocky. I think Benoit can carry him to a good match, maybe.

I think Benoit can carry him to a good match, maybe. You know I'm sure there would be a good match if Benoit/Angle/Eddie or even freaking Edge were in the match with Brock. Brock hasn't really had the most technically gifted opposition.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2002 I'm betting Benoit gets PUMPED~! in Edmonton and then turns face right there, so Heyman makes Benoit turn Brock into his bitch for a few minutes, let him play face in peril, then come back, have Brock reach the ropes on the Crossface, let Heyman run interference, F5, it's over. ***+ match. Oh I can only hope...
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted October 5, 2002 why the hell would Brock have to go to the Commercial Break Bearhug when he's fighting a bad motherfucker like Chris Benoit? In fact, why would Brock have to do anything? I think Benoit will drag the match for 15 minutes, kicking and screaming on his back. Then Heyman will jump up on the apron, Brock will hit the F5, the crowd will throw beer cups, and Brock will think quietly to himself "*sigh* Not again..." as he is bombarded with garbage. Status quo on the house show circut.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted October 5, 2002 Brock will probably get locked in a Crippler Crossface, then Pick Benoit off the Floor and hit a f-5 in it...and there goes Benoit LOL
Guest YouWillBeSOL Report post Posted October 5, 2002 My God, Beniot vs Brock would be boring. Neither guy is fun to watch. Beniot is boring, so boring, it almost makes me wanna shoot myself. Brock aka Goldberg is even worse. He is not at all what the WWE hipes him to be and in my opinion Brock got the WWE UD BELT to soon. As far as these two facing, please, I would not pay for it. Later all and Payce!
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted October 5, 2002 Three words. Three minute bearhug. I am begging. BEGGING. For someone to steal a line from Rowdy Roddy Piper's book and poke Brock in the eyes to escape the bearhug.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted October 5, 2002 not the way Brock applies the Bearhug. a Classic one maybe.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 5, 2002 I'm sure if you really wanted to be a bastard, you could just wiggle out of the Three Minute bearhug. it's not like Brock cares enough to apply pressure. I kind of feel sorry for him now. I think he's fallen into a "they'll push me no matter what" mentality, and that's why he's blowing. However, I see a Reality cHHHeck coming for Brock REAL soon, and I hope he can adapt.
Guest Nater Report post Posted October 5, 2002 Brock has already been fucked over by HHH. Hence, HHH has a title that he didnt have to win from Brock and you KNOW he's willing to ditch it to save himself the blame of bad ratings (though we know Raw is in the crapper right now) Brock vs. Holly was a good match in my opinion. Bob got injured, nuff said.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted October 5, 2002 I'd love to see a Lesnar vs. Benoit fued. A match between the two would be pretty good to see, even though Benoit will lose. Picture this....the Survivor Series, Lesnar© vs. Benoit for the WWE Title. There's a slight chance that Benoit could win the WWE Title, but the chances of that happening are slim to none at the moment.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted October 5, 2002 since post-vengeance, benoit has been FEELING IT and busting out the ***1/2+ matches like it's nothing. if the rock could carry him to ***1/2, benoit could probably take him up to 4.
