11/9 - Philadelphia, PA

Ring Of Honor's return to the Murphy Recreation Center in South Philly on 11/9 will see the debut of the ROH #1 contender's trophy. This trophy will belong to the man who is first in line to receive a shot at the ROH title. This trophy will be defended like a championship belt and will be vacated once the man who holds it receives his title shot. The first man to earn the #1 contender's trophy will be determined in a gauntlet series match with American Dragon, Paul London, AJ Styles, Michael Shane, The Amazing Red and CM Punk. Also signed for 11/9 is a ROH tag title defense as champions Chris Daniels & Donovan Morgan will defend against the dream team of Low Ki & Doug Williams. Plus, Xavier will defend the ROH title, Alexis Laree vs. Allison Danger and more with Steve Corino, Spanky, Samoa Joe, SAT, Homicide, Special K and others!!!

11/16 - Wakefield, MA

Ring Of Honor will return to the Americal Civic Center in Wakefield, MA just 10 minutes outside Boston on 11/16. The show will feature a dream partner tag team match with Jay Briscoe & ??? vs. Mark Briscoe & ???. Also signed is a 1/2 hour ironman match pitting Doug Williams vs. American Dragon and a ten man tag match as Divine Storm, Jose & Joel Maximo & Amazing Red take on Special K. More to be announced soon with ROH champion Xavier, AJ Styles, Homicide, Paul London, Michael Shane and the Boston area debut of "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels!!!

Those look like quite the shows. I'm going to mark like a bitch when Daniels finally comes out at Wakefield.

The Wakefield Show thoughts...

"Jay Briscoe & ??? vs. Mark Briscoe & ???"

Hmmmm...I know Shinjiro Ohtani and Masato Tanaka are going to be in the Philly area in early November, and I just had a weird thought that they'd stick them in this match. But they'd probably advertise them, right?

"Also signed is a 1/2 hour ironman match pitting Doug Williams vs. American Dragon"

Awesome. Could be a classic if both guys are feeling it. Never saw Williams live before, can't wait.

"ten man tag match as Divine Storm, Jose & Joel Maximo & Amazing Red take on Special K"

If they give this time and everyone's feeling it, could be an amazing match.

"Boston area debut of "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels!!!"

Can't wait. Glad I already have my tickets.

amen brother amen..and the ironman match? sweet.

im so psyched i have the same exact two seats as the first show. I think i'll be wearing my Devils jeresy this time.

We should print out some smartmarks flyers to do a lil' advertising.

Most of the crowd seems like non-idiots and pretty hardcore fans.

I hope Donovan Morgan is added at some point

and no ICP please!!!!!!

I'm a little disappointed by the lack of Low Ki...but oh well.

I'm predicting this:

Xavier fights Homicide, Daniels fights Styles, and Shane & London continue their saga. No idea as to who the Briscoe's tag partners are.

Last I heard, Caprice Coleman is scheduled to debut at the Philly show, and Slim J is scheduled to debut at the Boston show.

Just for the record, not to burst anyone's bubble or anything because I am an ROH fan, I've been told by several people who are ROH regulars that the last Wakefield event was probably ROH's worst.

The good news is, ROH realized this and most likely will try to fix it.

It must say something when one of the promotion's worst shows gets praise from a certain area. You guys must be starved for some good wrestling.

Hell yeah Dames, I've been saying this forever, but despite being a huge wrestling hotbed, Mass. and the NE region is home to some of the shittiest indys in the country. I know, I work for one of them  :bonk:

To add to the comment about Slim J debuting in Boston, I'm not 100% positive, but I'm assuming he'll be on Special K's side in the ten-man tag match.

I disagree. Aside from some clunkers (the Biohazard & Local Guy match) the show kicked ass overall. I don't understand why they'd consider it their worst show.

Man, you guys are SO lucky...out here on the west coast, all we got is APW, but even now with the suing attempt going on, that may be in jeopardy...I'm up north, so good indy feds are far and few between.

They didn't feel that it was up to ROH standards. That's from ROH, not my opinion.

From all accounts, that beat the Wakefield show for their worst ever.

Weird. Really weird.

I mean, it had Styles/Low Ki, Morgan/Dragon, DHS/Carnage Crew in a good brawl, Red/Divine, SAT/Storm vs. Special K, and the simply fantastic Briscoe v. Briscoe match.

I can't see how they would consider it their worst.

Aren't Tanaka & Ohmori going to be @ the 11/9 Philly show, also?

For some reason, I remember seeing that on their TV show this past week. Or am I just imagining things?

Update on Slim/Coleman: Caprice Coleman is NOT heading to Ring Of Honor in November, but Slim J has been confirmed as the 5th Special K member, and Jeremy Lopez is going to be at one, if not both, shows.
