Plus he's getting some of the bigger pops now, as I've said before. Last three shows he's reportedly had a lot of face heat.

And he had a lot of face heat at Kotr 2001, one of the reasons they turned him face last year.
Guest Special K Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 Angle was hugely over as the goofy/lovable face, but when they made him a cocky, rock-esque face, he was an even bigger asshole than when he was a heel. Let him be goofy Angle, and he'll do great.

Unless Brock used the SSP in his NCAA matches, I believe you're wrong here. The hired him because he was an NCAA champ, and has a good look.

I think him busting out an SSP in the NCAA's would have been cool as shit.

But they hired him cuz the NCAA perhaps, but they kept them and Impressed him because of the SSP he did from turnbuckle to center of the ring.
