Guest Karnage Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 The Official Website is now up and damn, I'm impressed. It even has Eddy Guerrero in it!
Guest the 1inch punch Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 and sid, pity you cant tp Sid vs Pillman, squeegee on a pole match
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 I think Dynamite Kid is in the game. Is that reason enough to play it?
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 Oh, someone should e-mail Acclaim and tell them that Bret got his concussion in 1999, not 2000. http://www.legendsofwrestling2.com/wrestle...s/brethart.html
EL DANDY~! Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 Maybe he wasn't diagnosed with it yet...we know it was Starcade 99 when that happened, but I think it was diagnosed as one in 2000
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 If the create a legend is good this time... I'm all over this game.
Guest Grenouille Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 The more I see this game the more I lean toward buying, but I still remember the first one as being a waste of $50, but then again what does a college student with lots of disposable income waste his income on? The roster looks great. I especially like the number of old tag teams in there. It's too bad Jim Neidhart isn't in so the original Hart Foundation could be made, but then again the 3 other Foundation members are in. I guess it'll just have to be the Hart Brothers VS Steiners 2.
Guest DVD Spree Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 DR FUCKING DEATH. That is all.
Guest mesepher Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 this game looks great... I'll definitely have to rent it once it comes out and give it a test run on my roommate's Gamecube. when does it come out??
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 That seems to be the big question. Depending on where I read it either comes out Wednesday for PS2 or has been pushed back at least a week.
Guest DVD Spree Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 You know, by the time LoW3 is due, Austin will be all clear to be in it. Goldberg is too. And Savage. And Rude. And... ahh crap, they're doing an EA on us. Bastards.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 I wonder how many CAW slots it will have. I needs to make me an Austin and a Flair right away.
Guest Youre Gonna Learn Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 Obviously, they're forgetting someone very important.
Guest crandamaniac Posted October 20, 2002 Report Posted October 20, 2002 According to EBworld, the release date is this Wednesday
Guest mach7 Posted October 21, 2002 Report Posted October 21, 2002 I believe the release for Gamecube is November 11th or 12th. Around the same time that RE0 comes out.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 21, 2002 Report Posted October 21, 2002 If Andy Kaufman is in it, I might seriously consider a rental to decide on buying it or not.
Guest mach7 Posted October 21, 2002 Report Posted October 21, 2002 It's wierd how they can get Lawler, Hogan & Guerrero in there, but Flair isn't in it. How is Flair any more WWE-exclusive than Lawler is? Or maybe it's just they couldn't come to a deal with Flair himself. I would have loved to have seen Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard & Barry Windham along with JJ Dillon make this game. Can we say Horsemen?! Good to see that the Von Erich's are in it again. I had heard that they were taken out but I guess not!
Guest Incandenza Posted October 21, 2002 Report Posted October 21, 2002 It's wierd how they can get Lawler, Hogan & Guerrero in there, but Flair isn't in it. How is Flair any more WWE-exclusive than Lawler is? Or maybe it's just they couldn't come to a deal with Flair himself. Depending on when they were negotiating with wrestlers to appear in the game, Flair may've already come to an agreement with the WWF, back in November of last year. Lawler and Hogan were in the first game, and were contracted to appear in future sequels, regardless of their appearing in the WWE later on. Guerrero was on the outs at the time, so they were able to snag him.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 21, 2002 Report Posted October 21, 2002 Don't forget... Unlike Lawler, Hogan and Eddy who were not under exclusive contracts back then... Flair still had a contract with Time Warner until literally the day he signed with the WWE. He never had a free period where a game could try to liscence him.
Guest Choken One Posted October 22, 2002 Report Posted October 22, 2002 I thought WWE owned the names of people like Bret "Hitman" Hart or Andre the Giant...
Guest Invader3k Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 WWE couldn't own the trademark on either of those...Andre was already billed as "Andre the Giant" before he started in the WWF and Bret Hart was also called "the Hitman" in WCW. I'm pretty sure he owns the gimmick, actually.
Guest Banky Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 The Roster Abdullah The Butcher Andre The Giant Andy Kaufman Bam Bam Bigelow Baron Von Raschke Big John Studd Bob Backlund Bobby "The Brain" Heenan Bret "Hitman" Hart Brian Pillman British Bulldog Bruno Sammartino Captain Lou Albano Cowboy Bob Orton David Von Erich Don Muraco Dory Funk, Jr. Dr. Death Steve Williams Dynamite Kid Eddie Guerrero Fritz Von Erich George "The Animal" Steele The Grand Wizard Greg "The Hammer" Valentine Hacksaw Jim Duggan Harley Race "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert Hulk Hogan Iron Sheik Ivan Koloff Ivan Putski Jerry "The King" Lawler Jimmy Hart Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka Kerry Von Erich Kevin Von Erich Killer Kowalski King Kong Bundy Koko B. Ware Michael Von Erich Mil Mascaras Mr. Fuji Mr. U.S.A Tony Atlas "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff The Nasty Boys Nikolai Volkoff One Man Gang Owen Hart The Road Warriors Rick Martel Rick Steiner Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat The Rock & Roll Express Rocky Johnson Rowdy Roddy Piper Sabu Scott Steiner The Sheik Sid Vicious "Superstar" Billy Graham Ted DiBiase Terry Funk Tito Santana All I have to say is WOWSERS. If this game plays well when I rent it, I'mm all over it. That means no Smackdown 4. Those weiners didn't add Rey Mysterio, Chavo, or Noble to the game. But they had time to put in Stasiak and Xpac? C'mon! I'd have more time playing with these guys, and creating the WWE stars. Fuck the WWE and their necrophiliac shizit.
Guest Banky Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I know they both have Eddy. I'd just rather create Angle, Benoit, Malenko, Regal, Jericho, Mysterio, Chavo, and Edge - and pit them against Owen, Bret, DBS, Dynamite, Steiners, Pillman, ect ect ect
