Guest cynicalprofit Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Assuming its Brock vs Show, do you think Brock can do the F-5/Browser Refresher on Big Show? I'm seeing Nash vs Gigant all over again. Discuss.
Guest Nater Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 How many times do you drop Show on his head until it isnt funny anymore? Answer: Nobody knows, It will never get old.
Guest eirejmcmahon Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 It wouldn't surprise me to see Brock F5ing TBS. As much as I enjoyed the Brock/Undertaker match at No Mercy, I have zero confidence in TBS to deliver an even semi-decent match so I've no interest in watching him go up against Lesnar.
Guest bravesfan Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Answer to question: No, Lesnar cannot give Show the F-5. It is not possible to lift a legit 450-pounder ABOVE YOUR SHOULDERS and spin him onto the mat. Unlike a bodyslam or vertical suplex, Show cannot post himself or jump into the move...it would end up being a botched spot that definitely injures Show and most likely Lesnar as well (knee or rib injury). But, I do see another Brock finisher coming out of the wood work...Ahh, it's too obvious.
Guest mach7 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I guess Vince wants to get his money out of Show. I don't understand why they just don't release him already. It's not like he's a big brand name that everyone cares about. Sure, they'd have to pay off his contract but at least they wouldn't have to worry about coming up with Big Show failed push #235,546,749 for next March. ;p
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Ooooooh, I get it. Brock will turn face by default, because Show is such a worthless piece of shit. Then it's ok to do a Shooting Star. Or, maybe we'll just see a crap match with a non finish. Drop Show on his head....but...not funny...? I don't get it.
Guest Human Fly Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I know Big Show has a big contract, but is it worth pushing him if he tanks ratings and buy rates as a result? The Elimination Chamber had better be good, or this event will suck a hard one.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 News On WWE Survivor Series Main Events WARNING: This post contains some spoilers! Believe it or not, WWE does plan to headline Survivor Series with a Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show WWE Title match. WWE worked an injury angle last night at the Smackdown taping to allow the Undertaker to take some time off. The RAW brand will feature the "Elimination Chamber" match that Eric Bischoff hinted towards, but it is unknown who will be involved. Credit: 411Wrestling.com
Guest Bricks Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 If Goldberg can Jackhammer Big Show, I think Brock can F5 Big Show. But the Shooting Star Press would so be bad ass.
Guest Choken One Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I won't be shocked to see Brock F5 Show...
Guest Rob Edwards Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I know Big Show has a big contract, but is it worth pushing him if he tanks ratings and buy rates as a result? No it isn't they should just buy his contract out and put it down to experience IMO How is Brock v Show expected to draw if Show hasn't done anything meaningful for god knows how long anyway?
EL DANDY~! Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Brock can do quite a dead lift and squat a lot. If you think about it, 500 pounds is nothing to somebody who can probably squat with 5 plates on both sides, which is around 500 pounds. I see him being able to do it...but if he does the SSP, wouldn't that make him a face? I mean, that would make me pop like a MADMAN for him. And Billy Kidman would be out of a job, unless they tag the two together.
Guest Nevermortal Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 The WWE are fucking insane to put the Big Show in the Main Event. Yeah, Big Show, the same guy who got sent to OVW to lose weight. Yeah, Big Show, the guy who played second fiddle to King Quad and a glorified non wrestler. Yeah, Big Show, who once had a feud with Big Bossman that culminated in a 3 minute World Championship Match... Yeah, Big Show, who has stopped caring and gotten bigger and suckier every time he goes out there. What a fucking number one contendr. Gotta love the WWE. And I am sure that Heyman is just fucking thrilled by this "trade".
Guest cabbageboy Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I am convinced now that they cannot possibly consider doing HHH and Kane again....not with this Lesnar/Show match on the show. Jesus. Are they actually TRYING to suck???? Who in their right mind would possibly think having those two matches would be a good idea? I mean this show so far sounds like KOTR 95!
Guest cynicalprofit Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I wonder if Heymans genius can save BigShow,....probably not.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I wonder if Heymans genius can save BigShow,....probably not. The Sandman proved that all Heyman needs to get someone over is a three minute entrance.
Guest nikowwf Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 MSG will SO turn Brock face if they do this match. Its a really bad idea. It turns the guy they are trying to have be their top heel into a face and is a non-drawing main event besides. niKO
Guest Sandman9000 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I don't even think that Show is capable of coming out to rock music with beer, cigarettes, and a cane. He'd probably try to drink the cigarettes and smoke the cane.
Guest Luke Michael Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Horrible main event! Having a face Big Show fight a heel Brock Lesner in one of the top pay pier views of the year is bullshit!! Maybe Vince McMahon wants to ruin Smackdown so people can't see the big difference between the crap product (RAW) and the good product (Smackdown). Survivor Series has been going downhill ever since Big Show won the title in 1999 and now this year it's offically going down the toilet.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Just cause Brock an lift 500lbs, doesnt mean he can hold 500lbs or move it very well, Show is HUGE, I dont think Brock could swing him around. The guys like what over 7ft legit. I dont think its possible. But if he breaks out the SSP, Ill be happy. But since he doesnt have a submission, this is when they will give him one. I say its some sort of amature hold.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I'd rather see Lesnar© vs. Edge for the WWE Title than this match. Though, maybe we'll see Lesnar use the Shooting Star Press as his finisher. No matter what, though, this match will suck as the main event for the Survivor Series. If the Big Show wins the WWE Title, that will be worse than HHH as the World Champion.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I don't even think that Show is capable of coming out to rock music with beer, cigarettes, and a cane. He'd probably try to drink the cigarettes and smoke the cane. You don't remember the Smoking Giant angle? Good.
Guest Ram Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I want to see how this turns out. While Show isn't that great, he plays a good, strong giant, and the Lesnar/Show match could be pretty cool. Especially to see Brock taking on someone bigger and maybe even stronger than him. Kind of reminds me of Andre/Hogan.
Guest dpac Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 i also want to see how this turns out. if show is continued to be pushed like a beast the anlge may play out to be not that bad. giant/goldgberg matches always amused me in a guilty pleasure sort of way
