Guest HartFan86 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 RVD vs. Jericho vs. Booker vs. Kane vs. HHH vs. HBK for the World Title. We finally get RVD vs. HBK...awesome. Discuss away...I think given the right booking, this thing has huge potential.
Guest Army Eye Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I missed the announcement.. so.. it's basically nothing like Wargames then? Damn.
Guest Angle-plex Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 It sounds good, but that means RAW's undercard will be: Snow vs Nowinski Test vs Random Jobber Trish vs a woman ::shudders:: Plus I think we all know who will be winning.
Guest GameCop Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I missed the announcement, too. Does it involve a cage? Hell in a cell? what are the stipulations?
Guest packwingfn Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Bishoff said its gonna have elements from Survivor Series, Royal Rumble AND Wargames *big pop*....so it should be interesting! Im psyched
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 IF there is a new world champion, it'll probably be Kane... ::yawn::
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Now, The WWE is on to something. Do.....Not.....Fuck.....It.....Up.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I smell an RVD title run.
Guest GameCop Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 AWESOME! I'm ordering Survivor Series right now. Oh, and you know what? The match will probably be an hour or more!!!!!!!! Brock vs. Big Show will be a mere 5 minutes or less, hopefully.
Guest midnight_burn Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Provided this isn't just away for HHH to go over every top contender at once this should be quite good. This certainly makes me interested in Survivor Series, but you just know the WWE will screw this up somehow.
Guest GameCop Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I think HBK will win it all. It'll be the start of his comeback that will probably culminate at WrestleMania in a retirement match.
Guest GameCop Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Something tells me that Stephanie will try to "one up" Bischoff by having a TRIANGLE LADDER MATCH: Edge/Rey vs. Los Guerreros vs. Angle/Benoit
Guest evenflowDDT Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 HBK? Bah... I hope not, he should only be in there to put over somebody else. I think Booker should come out on top and become a 6 TIME, 6 TIME, 6 TIME, 6 TIME, 6 TIME, 6 TIME WCW CHAMPION~!
Guest edotherocket Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I LOVE IT! I smell a title change for sure. Not unlike Taker dropping the title at Vengeance without being pinned, HHH can lose here and keep his precious heat. I'm going for RVD to win this one. Kane and HHH can fight in to the back and leave the others to perform. Very good potential.
cawthon777 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I'm assuming the Royal Rumble aspect of the match will involve the guys being picked at random as to order. Two guys start, another one enters every few minutes thereafter. Should be interesting to see if they include the submission aspect of Wargames or if it's just going to be an elimination style match. If that's the case, then I'd expect Triple H to go over HBK just to lose to RVD (or at least that's what I define as logical booking ... no clue as to what the WWE deems as such).
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Provided this isn't just away for HHH to go over every top contender at once this should be quite good. This certainly makes me interested in Survivor Series, but you just know the WWE will screw this up somehow. I said it in the Raw thread, but it looks like a way for HHH to go over 3 or 4 guys at once who are more over than he is
Guest chirs3 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I hope to God this signals the beginning of a Booker T or RVD title run, and Shawn in there makes sense, since he can cost Triple H the match after he's eliminated. So Triple H technically never lost, since Michaels fucked it up, but it finally gets the damn title off him.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 just another Chamber of Horrors sanz the fake Electric chair. Probably another Hell in a Cell...this will be the first year to have more HIAC matches...
Guest bcu1979 Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Before anyone gets too excited about some big title change, look at this RAW and see how RVD, Booker and Jericho were portrayed. RVD was involved in a pointless 3 minute tag match that he lost and was never seen again. After Jericho and Christian's skit was the high point of last week's RAW, they get no mic time tonight and are made to look extremely weak against a team that never existed before tonight. Booker T played a bit part in a PRELIM feud between Snow and Nowinski. The WWE has two weeks to establish RVD, Booker and Jericho as legitimate threats to the title. Does anyone really believe anyone but Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Kane will be really be pushed hard in the next two weeks? Think RVD or Booker will get a pinfall victory over Triple H? Think Jericho will get a pinfall victory over Kane?
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 When I heard what this match was going to be, and who was going to be in it, I said right away that I was gonna be ordering the Survivor Series. This is where HHH will lose his precious World Title, to hopefully RVD, Kane, or HBK.

Guest Human Fly Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 After Jericho and Christian's skit was the high point of last week's RAW, they get no mic time tonight and are made to look extremely weak against a team that never existed before tonight. What was the deal with that? I was expecting Jericho to pullout a gun and shoot Jeff Hardy, and then he would kick out at two. I have high hopes for this match, but when it was pointed out that HHH, Kane, and HBK have gotten all the hype it kind of came as a buzzkill. Hopefully they do a better job next week. I'm hoping Booker T., Jericho, or RVD win it. But I'm not holding my breath. I wouldn't mind it if HBK won it, or giving it to Kane wouldn't even be so bad. So basically that's everyone but HHH.
Guest AfricanAmerican Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Finally, a little unpredictabilty in the main event?
Guest Breetai Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 nice way for trips to lose the title without jobbing or putting someone over. Of course he'll win it back the next night in a total squash and make his opponent look like a total jobber.
Guest The Old Me Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 If a face wins the belt at SS, they may just be fed to Steiner. At least, if Steiner is on RAW, which he should be.
LaParkaYourCar Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 Problem is it's Elimination.......so someone has to pin HHH. Probably will be HBK or RVD.

Of course he'll win it back the next night in a total squash and make his opponent look like a total jobber. It's an elimination match. If he loses, he has to job it to someone. This match sounds a lot like Wargames w/o teams. Each man enters after a certain amount of time, etc.
Guest Brian Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 I can't believe people are missing this. It's almost right out of 1997; Michaels superkick misses Triple H and hits Kane, ala SummerSlam.
EL DANDY~! Posted October 29, 2002 Report Posted October 29, 2002 But remember, that also led to HBK taking his patented shitkicking at the next PPV, and then REALLY getting the shit kicked out of him in HIAC. So I'm loving that finish...except for HHH winning, of course. And it's 1996, dood. On top of that, just think about this for the first two to start out...HBK vs. RVD. I'm not saying that will work, but it will certainly be interesting. Chances are it's gonna be Booker vs. Jericho, and then RVD, Kane, HHH, and HBK. HBK comes out last, and this is going to be elimination style, so that means we get to see this go on for a while. WarGames 92 this wont be, but chances are, with the talent involved (sans Triple H and Kane) this could be really good. EDIT: I just realized this. WHAT DOES WARGAMES NEED TO WORK? A 2-on-1 beatdown in the beginning. Face vs. Heel, and then the heel gets the next entry and they do the beat down until the next face comes, and so on. But we only have two heels....ummmmmm, shit.
