Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Could people tell me what the previews looked like for next week? Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Jack and Sherri had a face to face confrontation, and she told him to STOP talking down to her. Jack fired his gun at someone as well. Palmer gets arrested, and Chappelle tells Tony to clean out his desk.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Kiefer Sutherland drops pants Associated Press May. 2, 2003 02:28 PM NEW YORK - The new issue of In Touch magazine has a shot of Kiefer Sutherland that he wishes had never seen the light of day. It shows Sutherland sitting in a booth at a karaoke bar in Los Angeles with his jeans and his underwear around his ankles. The magazine says Sutherland had "a few too many drinks." His publicist says it was a bachelor party that got "a little wild." She says Sutherland is "extremely embarrassed." She says "what seemed funny at the moment doesn't seem funny at all now." Uh..hed be embarassed about that? *Flashes back to Jack gets tortured episode* ..ok then..
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Only a few episodes left. Tonight, Sherri and Jack FACE OFF!!!!
Guest The Tino Standard Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Almeida used an ETHER RAG~! Are you serious? And my line for the week: "Shoot him again."
Guest areacode212 Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Damn....what an episode! Best one in weeks, and one of the best of the season. Too bad they're setting up Kate to be the new mother figure. To quote someone from another board, "bitch, you are not Leslie Hope!" I liked Kim here, even though they still have her do stupid things. After all, it's always important to go back and grab all your stuff instead of just running out of the house, even after seeing the cop sent to protect you lying dead on the ground (though I couldn't tell what it was on my TV screen....it looked like a white blur). Still....I did not see that ending happen. Poor LadyMac...I hope she survives. And I loved that long split-screen shot of Chappelle lying unconscious on the ground. Ha, fucker.
Guest deadbeater Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Sherry is by far one of the best characters created for TV. And a very good actress is playing her.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 I was hoping that Jack would have busted out a "How can I trust you when you almost got my daugher killed?" I would have marked out. Good episode. Maybe Michelle will use the old "roll of quarters in the fist" heel move to lay out Karyn.
Guest The Tino Standard Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Nah, she'll blind her with salt to the eyes before running out the door to help Tony.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Or, she'll suddenly be walking with a cane, and then BAM. Karyn's down, and nobody saw it! 1-2-NO!NOTTHISWAY-3! Tony wins!!
Guest starvenger Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Or, she'll suddenly be walking with a cane, and then BAM. Karyn's down, and nobody saw it! 1-2-NO!NOTTHISWAY-3! Tony wins!! Why use a cane, when Tony's crutch is RIGHT THERE? It was nice to see Kim do something smart for once. Shooting psycho dad good. Hard to believe that Chapelle is Father Jughead on the Sopranos... And since Penny isn't Jack Bauer, I don't expect her to hulk up and be back for the last hour...
Guest areacode212 Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 According to Mediaweek, last night's awesome 24 (9.3/13) kicked The Guardian (8.4/12) and Frasier's (8.6/12) asses. Also, does anyone else find it suspicious and/or weird that Kate sent the police officer away? Wasn't he supposed to take her to CTU? I'm starting to guess where her story arc will be heading in the remaining 2 hours. (speculation) Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Marie wasn't the only one of Bob Warner's girls to get "recruited" by some outside force. I have a little suspicion that Kate will end up being the new Nina, not the new Teri. And in the final episode, she'll do something that'll make US know that she's dirty, but Jack won't, which will be the big season cliffhanger. I haven't fully thought this through, and I'm not basing this on anything other than "surprise ending" booking, and the fact that Kate knew how to handle a gun, but I have a feeling that this is how they're going to pull it off. Like maybe we'll get a scene near the end, where Jack's all "I'll call you, Kate", and she's like, "OK, bye!". Then she heads over to where Nina is being held (and about to be released). "Hello, Yelena." "Katja, here to see me off?" "Yeah, kinda". Then she pulls out a gun and blows Nina away. "Our friends in Berlin are not pleased with your failure. Consider this...a downsizing." Aren't you all glad I don't write dialogue for the show?

The Dames Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 AC...good swerve, but it really wouldn't make much sense, considering her action's in the beginning of the show. Dames
Guest Y2DAYDAY Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Yeah, Kate stays babyface. They just had her send the cop home so she had to be the one to pick up Kim. That is the explanation for why the writers did that.
Guest fazzle Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 BTW, was it just me, or did the "I get a deal. No! I get a deal! We both get a deal. I'll screw you out of a deal." scenes with Jack/Sherry/Hacker Guy remind anyone else of Hogan telling everyone that only they could lead the Black & White?
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 I missed it! Can someone give me a brief synopsis of last night's ep?
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Big: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Jack found the guy that forged the Cyprus Recording, and is trying to bring him in. However, Lady MacPalmer is there, and is acting in her best interest. Chappelle ordered CTU to stay away from Jack Bauer, citing that he's "chasing a ghost". Tony tried to help Jack, but Tony has been officially "reassigned". In order to get Jack out of where he is, a helicopter was needed. Chappelle wouldn't authorise it, so Tony and Michelle knocked him out with the ether soaked rag. Kim went back to the Matheson's to get her stuff, but Gary followed her there, killed the cop that had driven her there, and started chasing her around the house. Eventually, Kim got Gary knocked out and called Jack, who, in the best scene of the hour, told her to kill him. And she did. Palmer has been detained and forced to give up his card. He talked to Jack, and told him not to trust Sherri (LadyMac). The ending of this hour had the computer guy stabbing Sherri and taking off in a hidden tunnel. It's totally worth downloading, if you have the capabilities. Kazaa should have it in the next few days, if they don't already.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 I still stick behind my idea that this season ends with shots of the bombers bombing the hell out of the 3 countries as the new President gives his speech. Jack will learn of a plot to kill Palmer in 4 days to prevent him from going before Congress, and the last shot is of Jack getting on a plane headed to Washington. Im convinced of this because there is no way Jack is going to be able to do anything to stop the bombings at this point. Anything that happens in the next two hours is cliffhanger material for next season.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 I wouldn't mind that. As long as Kim has a reduced role.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 BUMP.. SPOILERS.. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Jack chases the computer geek up to the roof, he gets shot in the leg by Jack and falls (not very far) off the side of the roof. During the chasing, Jack stops and holds his chest, and he would do so later on in the show. Computer geek later dies as his head landed on something that poked into the back of his head. Palmer has to act as President to talk tto the Prime Minister of Turkey so that Turkey will let the US air bombers fly over Turkey. Tony and Michelle are arrested due to what Tony did to Chappelle. CTU calls back the hellicopter just as it was about to land. Kate gets Kim, although at first Kim was leary of Kate. Jack and Sherry trick Peter Kingsley into a meeting exchanging the computer guy for some DAT tapes (they use the computer to fake computer guy's voice, because he was dead but Kingsley wants him, but didn't know he was dead). They will meet at the LA Colliseum in a half hour (next week). Kingsley feels hes being set up see his plans to have snipers at the stadium to kill Sherry, and anyone else thats there, and then he stabs his assistant. On their way to the stadium, Jack has a heart attack, and Sherry tries to keep the car from hitting a rentavan but instead they crash into one of those flood control ditch things (like in Terminator 2) as the show ends. Didnt get to see any preview for next week but I can only expect some big shootout at the LA coliseum for the final episode.
Guest The Tino Standard Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 They are going to have to cover a TON of ground in just one hour if this storyline is going to wrap in one neat package like last year's did. I'm sensing 'cliffhanger/wait for next year' for the season finale next week.
Guest areacode212 Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Hmm. It was a decent episode, with some good directing & camerawork, but the ending cliffhanger was underwhelming, especially compared to last season's 11:59 moment. I was expecting something on the order of "Yelena" to happen. "Oh no! Will Jack survive?!?" as a cliffhanger isn't too compelling. Ah, well. I was really loving scowling, gun-toting Spawn, and I was chanting "shoot her! shoot her!" when she was pointing the gun at Kate. She would've instantly become my favorite TV character of all-time if she had blown her away. A big "ugh" at their little bonding attempts in the car. I'd rather Jack hooked up with LadyMac instead of Kate. Did anyone else think that EvilChrisElliot's henchwoman was Mandy for a sec?
Guest Evolution Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I agree that the cliffhanger was a letdown and that Kingsley's bitch (whatever her name was) seemed like Mandy to me for a brief moment.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I liked it. I will kill anyone who gets in my way of seeing the finale next week. Kate or Kim is eating a bullet.
Guest areacode212 Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Well... (casting spoiler for next season) Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Sarah Wynter will be coming back to the show. So I hope you're wrong, because even though I rag on her, I kinda like Kim.
Guest brokentusk16 Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I know it's unlikely, but I'm actually thinking Jack might not make it this season! We know SOMEBODY will die, but it can't be Jack, right? RIGHT?!?!
