Guest packwingfn Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 jack attacked tony, o no! why does kim always get stuck in the fucked up situations?
Guest packwingfn Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I also laughed pretty loud when Kim tried to get inside the liquour store and it CLEARLY said "We're Closed" lol
Guest the pinjockey Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Tony pulled a gun on Jack F'N Bauer?!? He needs to pay.
Guest SP-1 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Yes. I haven't been watching but it seemed a little out of character for him to do that to me. But I could be COMPLETELY wrong on that. But the show impressed me, as it has done each time I've watched it. I think I may become a regular viewer for the rest of the season.
Guest Evolution Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Quick question, did they do a two hour season finale last season? No, they didn't, and chances are since American Idol will probably be dragging along by then, they won't get it this year either. It'd be nice if they ended the season with a commercial-free episode, though.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 That Carrie bitch is pissing me off. She's such a kiss ass... Was it just be or did the guy at the Liquor Store look and kinda act like Chavo.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I think it was entirely in character. Tony's been anxious since George was sick, and on edge especially since George handed over command. I'm very impressed with how quickly they've turned this around; I was worried that after the nuke, there'd be no way to keep up momentum for another 9 weeks. They're gonna do it, though. God bless. One of the best eps of the season tonight. Even the Kim storyline wasn't QUITE as lame as usual.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Yes. I haven't been watching but it seemed a little out of character for him to do that to me. I think with this new job as the boss he's just over compensating to show everyone it's his show and he has total control.
The Dames Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 You know...all this time I was wondering where they'd go now that the bomb has gone off. Looks like a throwback to the "fugitive" like first season that I fucking LOVED. Dames
Guest SP-1 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Yeah. That was purely an observation from someone who hasn't watched since around the season premiere. Kinda a "first impression" of the character thing. But yes. When I tuned in to see a mushroom cloud I was like, "Oh shat. What did I MISS?"
Guest the pinjockey Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 At least you caught it this ep. Restart episodes like this one are pretty easy to pick back up from. (Nuke went off, hunt down the people respnsible) This was a very good restart episode.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Ah..more of the "what can we do to stall out Kim's Character for another hour?" I was hoping for a hostage situation, but apparently that isnt going to happen. I thought the store owner was going to be some sort of pervert the way he was locking the doors, but I suppose he was just being cautious.
Guest areacode212 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Yes, great episode, and like Dames, I'm glad that it looks like we're going back to something of a Season 1 feel, with people driving all over L.A, complete with Tony/Jack finally going at it. This wasn't out of character for Tony. There was a healthy amount of tension between the two characters last season, and with all the stress & events of the day, I could totally see Tony getting short-tempered and his tactful exterior melting away. Jack was great..."why are you talking to me like this?" Kim's storyline continues to feel completely forced. I wish the writers would show a little more imagination for her little arcs than "psycho guy of the week". So...Syed Ali was in Berlin, huh? Sounds like we'll be hearing a little more about Nina's shadowy organization in the remaining 8 hours.
The Dames Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Holy shit....I didn't even think about Ali and Nina together in Germany...D'oh! Tony is always so professional though.... I find it funny that anyone who becomes the CTU Director immediately becomes a supreme dick. I mean, come on Tony...the bomb went off already and Jack almost sacrificed his life for everyone. Hear him out! Dames
The Dames Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Kim has to resolve her issue with the evil daddy sometime before the show ends too.... Dames
Guest MaxPower27 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 This was a good episode, with the great character depth being built for Tony. Now, he gets to see what it's like trying to tail Jack F'N Bauer. I couldn't believe that he pulled a fucking gun on him though. I think Kim's finale with Evil Dad Gary will be saved by Jack. Since she's probably not going to get to talk to him for a while, he's going to have to go find her. She'll be cornered, Gary'll slap her around, and all of a sudden, off camera you'll hear, "You lay another finger on my daughter and you'll answer to me" or something like that. Cut to Jack holding a gun at Evil Dad Gary. That would be a cool way to get Kim and Jack reunited, IMO. Plus: NINA'S COMING BACK!! Now we get to find out what Jack said to her, and watch him put a bullet between her eyes! YAY!
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I don't know why but Kevin Bacon's name came to my head right when Jack was talking to the man on the phone. It got me wondering if Bacon would be a good choice to play this roll.
The Dames Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 The voice would have been too recognizable. Dames
Guest areacode212 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I'm starting to like Michelle for the first time this season. She was fairly useless up until now, but now that she's falling into the "babyface Nina" role of being Keif's CTU confidante, she might become a little more interesting than some chick who does nothing but stare longingly at Tony all day. Also, if & when Mike Novick turns out to be a heel, remember that you heard it from me first...I'm feeling the moleness vibes from him more & more as time goes on.
The Dames Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Why would Novick turn heel? He's always been on David's side with pretty much everything... Will Sherry ever come back into the picture? Stanton? Dames
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 The voice would have been too recognizable. Dames That's what I thought. It's probably not the best idea to use just a well known actor. It tends to take away from the character.
Guest areacode212 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Why would Novick turn heel? He's always been on David's side with pretty much everything... Will Sherry ever come back into the picture? Stanton? Dames He could have been paid off to influence Palmer in one direction or another, or maybe he has some secret connection to paramilitary groups. Who knows? If they're going through with this idea of a conspiracy within the presidency, someone close to Palmer is probably involved, and they seem to be pushing Ensign Ro as the suspicious one, so to me, it isn't her. I think it'll turn out to be Novick for shock value, precisely because he was the loyal one all of last season.
Guest SP-1 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I kept thinking of Ensign Ro, heh. Considering she betrayed Picard and joined the Marquis I -- oh, wrong show.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Is Ensign Roe the one who told Tony, Jack was leaving the buidling? If it was that's far to obvious.
Guest SP-1 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Ro is the woman who played the female aide to the President who delivered the findings about the recording before he told her to call a meeting on the hill for a war declaration.
The Dames Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Why can't you just call her Lynn like normal people? Dames
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Ok. I know who you're talking about. Maybe it's the ultimate swerve and it's Jack Bauer. He's telling the President to stop military action, while another nuclear bomb can go off in New York City.
Guest SP-1 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Why can't you just call her Lynn like normal people? Dames Trek geek, Dames. Bear with me.
Guest fazzle Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 The 7th Coral Snake Guy is the bestest villian ever. All he wants to do is killify Kate. Go CSG Go! Well, that, or Kate will turn out to be evil, and then Keifer will have to killify her. Either way, I'm a happy viewer. My Kate hatred grew to new heights tonight, I would turn my damn ahead and look at something else every time she was on. I really shouldn't hate a TV character this much, but...damn.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 I find myself liking Kate. Her face when she saw Jack was PRICELESS.
