Guest OctoberBlood Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Great episode last night. http://www.isitonyet.net/IsItOnYet/episode.../bodycount.html - Body Counts
Guest areacode212 Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 That's a pretty cool site (they have the bloopers video!). I wasn't far off, either. Yay for me.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 Did anyone else get the book yet? I got it at B&N for about 14 bucks. It mostly provides a window into the background (Op. Nightfall) and what happened the day after "24". Totally worth the money for real fans of the show.
Guest areacode212 Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 I was going to buy it too, but a friend who works at bn.com might be able to hook me up for free, so I'll wait. I heard it's pretty interesting, and that it provides a good explanation of Nina's seemingly helpful actions.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 I just returned some Christmas junk I didn't want and had to get a B&N credit of $37. Hellooooooo, book! A week and a half now...::twitch::
Guest MaxPower27 Posted January 26, 2003 Report Posted January 26, 2003 Yeah, it does. It also supplies useless information (Gaines was a Navy SEAL) and some "real" articles questioning the Palmer camp for their actions. Nina's story is told pretty well.
Guest Tim Cooke Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 What is the book called? I searched the Barnes and Noble web site but couldn't find anything. Any help is mucho appreciated. Tim
Guest MaxPower27 Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Findings at CTU, it works under that name.
Guest Shawn 5 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Anybody else having Season 2 withdrawels yet? 3 weeks is just too long.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Take comfort. We'll get four weeks in a row starting Tuesday, thanks to Sweeps. Still...that's a ways off, y'know? ::twitch::
Guest EQ Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Just bumping this to remind everyone that 24 is finally back tonight
The Dames Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Yeah...I saw a commercial last night during Boston Public for 24 and it looks like the rest of the season is going to be a doozy. Dames
Guest the pinjockey Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Feel free to ignore this post, I just want this somewhere just in case the .01% chance of this happening does occur I want proof. desa6103: I am going to predict a big swerve hear and say that there is no nuke, this is just an elaborate conspriracy to bring down Palmer by making him go beyond his reach -----: if you're right on that one, you should go on tour as The Amazing Carlos and start your own 900 number desa6103: the only thing that I am thinking is that they havent ever shown the bomb, just a little plutonium case which would be necessary to create a legitamacy to the threat that would make Palmer reacty desa6103: react -------: it's possible ---------: and his wife has motive for revenge ---------: what about the Muslims though desa6103: and you figure the one guy was a CIA op. so could connect to a terrorist to add more legitamacy ---------: maybe Ali is being used by the NSA guy to create a diversion desa6103: I figured it would be a good idea to have a legitimate terrorist as the face of the operation so Palmer would believe it
Guest EQ Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I was cursing at the TV when the thing with Kim and the fucking MOUNTAIN LION came on! OH COME ON!
Guest starvenger Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I'm pretty sure that that was there just so you wouldn't forget that Kim is still around...
Guest the pinjockey Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Did they really have to show all that they did in the preview for next week? There is something to be said for leaving a little to the imagination.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 See, that's why I turn the show off instead of watching the preview tonight. Great ep tonight, big finish. The moral center of this season seems to be President Palmer, and he took a BIIIIG step in the morally icky direction by ordering the torture of Stanton. Great to see the character development, though. I'm also delighted by the fact that he still treats Sherri like the ho she is. Also, Kim with a mountain lion? Gold. You know why? Because it's ridiculous, and she didn't say a single line this ep. Bomb-ass.
Guest Tim Cooke Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Excellent episode tonight. Good slow 30 minute build to a great final 30 minutes. The Kim angle is a little goofy but everything else is so IN DEPTH and GREAT that I can stand it. Tim
Guest MaxPower27 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I liked this episode. Kate going into the mosque was quite the pulse=pounding moment. Yeah, the preview for next week left little to the imagination, but, who cares? It's still going to rawk ass. And Kim not talking, but running the entire episode = Ratings Gold pinjockey, I think there's definetly a bomb. It would be a decent swerve, but it would just be a swerve for the sake of a swerve (a Russo, if you will) PARTIAL SPOILER I'm hoping they do a Jack and Sherri Palmer face to face. Remember, Jack knows that Sherri put his daughter in danger by leaking information to the press last season. Could be INTENSE~!
Guest Choken One Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Good show that Just flew... Unrelated question: Does Palmer have a VP? They never mention him.
Guest areacode212 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 So..."time is running out" is the new "this is the longest day of my life". I laughed my ass off at the cougar/Kim staredown. Unless this particular subplot leads somewhere interesting (as opposed to it being a momentary obstacle for Kim), they should've just shown her running a little at the beginning, then maybe show her in a split screen in the middle, but mostly ignoring her for the rest of the episode. Good lord, that was even more contrived than the amnesia. As usual, everything else was pretty tense and great. Did they really have to show all that they did in the preview for next week? There is something to be said for leaving a little to the imagination. I know...the guys who produce the previews have been getting lazy lately. You have to show quick teases, but not show THAT much.
Guest areacode212 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Unrelated question: Does Palmer have a VP? They never mention him. According to the official Fox site (in the White House section): The Vice President will give remarks to the World Human Rights Summit in Washington, DC. So unless he's needed later, he's on the other side of the country for now.
Guest Choken One Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Yeah but who is he? Has he done anything on the show yet? Even been mentioned? It seems odd that Palmer never says a word about him. P.S Can any of you guys invison Bush doing what Palmer does? Chaney, sure, not Bush.
Guest areacode212 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Yeah but who is he? Has he done anything on the show yet? Even been mentioned? It seems odd that Palmer never says a word about him. I don't think he's been mentioned, except maybe in an offhand way. I vaguely recall that in the 1st episode, someone saying something along the lines of "The Vice President is doing so & so, and your Chief of Staff is taking a plane here". Though...if he does eventually show up (like if he's in on the conspiracy), I have a feeling that he'll be a surprise celebrity actor (like Hopper was).
Guest Choken One Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Hopper wasn't a surprise...They pretty much told the people he was gonna be on the show from the start...
Guest areacode212 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I wasn't watching back then, but I was always under the impression that his casting was kept under wraps until well into season 1, especially since Victor Drazen was supposed to be dead (though it was pretty obvious he wasn't).
Guest Choken One Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Nope...They just realeased a press statement telling us that Dennis Hopper would appear in the final 3 shows after about 3 weeks in/
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 I would just like to say that OH MY GOD THIS SHOW IS HARDCORE. Seriously, great night for TV tonight.
Guest the pinjockey Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 If there is a part of the world that Jack Bauer does not fucking own I have yet to see it.
