Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 No one thinks business will increase because of Steiner. People are anticipating his debut because they want to see him get bleeped, fuck up words, throw chairs at fans, and start cursing out people at random. Plus, it's kind of a mystery as to how many shows he can do before he gets fired. (I say 7)
Guest AndrewTS Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 You guys are just jealous that Steiner has got a great natural body. Where you there when he shoot up 'roids? Where ya? Huh, punk, where ya? I didn't think so. Just because his muscles have muscles, doesn't mean he uses steroids. In all honesty, I don't look for Steiner to be putting on great match but c'mon, his act is pretty entertaining. He IS a complete freak, and I think its cool...if a funny sorta way. So am I looking forward to it? Yes. It isn't speculation--he HAS used them. He's even been arrested for snapping on people during roid rages.

My first post was a complete joke
Guest RickyChosyu Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 This is too funny. Last year, smarks were all wanting Steiner, and now that he's going to the WWE, he's a "big hoss." Too funny. I love it when internet fans posting on a board called "The Smarks" critisize other fans for something they suposedly said as a collective entity, the entire time refering to them in the third person as "smarks." Too funny. As for the topic, I don't think Steiner is marketable enough that he'll be able to instill his catch-phrases and such, but the prospect of him "making an impact" like they claim he will is laughable at best.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Well considering how they did Kane so recently...people automatically assumed that this was a tease. Just like I did. Besides...the crowd wasn't loud the whole night like others mentioned.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Fans don't care because this 'free agent' BS has been played out. They just did it with HHH a couple of months ago for crying out loud. Did the fans care? Of course not because they did it with Austin a year ago and they did it with the Rock a year ago too. We all know it's the same company so whether he goes to one or the other is really irrelevant in terms of seeing Scott Steiner on TV. Plus, it's not Scott Steiner to have montages, it's Scott Steiner to come down to the ring with 2 trampy ladies on his arms and a rubber 'steel' bar so he can break a cruiserweights ankle...dammit.
Guest razazteca Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 maybe Scott Steiner can have an exclusive interview with Jerry Lawler that is so INTENSE~ that they could only show still photos of it.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Or maybe they can just replay the interview Mike Tenay did with him in 2000. I wonder if they will start calling a hurricanrana, the frankensteiner now?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 They'll only call it a Frankensteiner when he does one himself ... ah hahaha Come on Scotty, you can do it
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 when Scotty does a frankensteiner...will be the day that HHH does a springboard suicida on Matt Hardy...
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I recall Steiner doing one in his match vs. Booker at Spring Stampede 99 - I could be mistaken though, it's been a year+ since I've seen it.
Guest razazteca Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 will all Lariats be called Steiner-Lines?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 THEY BETTER BE! And then they could bring out the FABULOUS Steiner-line music about brothers Rick and Scott.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 when Scotty does a frankensteiner...will be the day that HHH does a springboard suicida on Matt Hardy... Man...that'll be a show to see
Guest Trivia247 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 It should be said, their must always make it clear that Scott's Value as a Technical Talented Wrestler Diminished when he Roided or Bulked up, which ever version you want to read into it. Frankensteiner coming from a 275+ Wrestler is impressive, even if it looks sloppy in execution. Steniers were always power Suplexers. What Scott did though was got to bulked, and kinda blew out alot of the little moveset he had. Steiner for all he's worth will get a Pop when they see him. Its how they use him. Steiner is still a walking liability so he'll be wrestling as Slow as Hogan does. All his Power moves will be Timed to the point where the suspension of disbelief will be hard to be achieved. Regardless he'll get his pops, we will hear his Big Poppa Pump taglines which the crowd will respond too. But it won't do much to save the problems that is goin on. its not a sin to reiterate the faults someone may have. Some people needs reminding, or new people need to be aware of it.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 when Scotty does a frankensteiner...will be the day that HHH does a springboard suicida on Matt Hardy... Man...that'll be a show to see this will also be the same show that Jeff-titude and Raven-ity will be created... Feel The Divinity of Raven-ity!

Excellent points. The free agent crap is so played, and really, the marks have the least reason of all to give a damn about what show someone lands on. At least with smarks, you either want a guy to go to a certain show for certain dream matches, or on the flip side a 'keep that guy away'. For marks I don't know what the interest would be, other than if you hate Bischoff and like Stephanie, or vice versa. But I'm pretty sure most just think "whatever".. And there's really no corny montage they can do that can convey what Steiner's character is all about. His appeal is that he's so juiced up he can fly off the handle and start roid raging at any moment, and when he does you better get the hell out of there. And they BETTER not insert spoken catchphrases into the music. God I hate that.
Guest Army Eye Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 and big bulky Scott Steiner still did do the Frankensteiner occasionally. Also, for just a few weeks or so he did one of the nastiest finishers ever, the Steiner Screwdriver. There's no way in hell he'll ever get to do it in the WWE though.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 "I am the big bad booty daddy, holla if ya hear may" is goin to start it off... You know it is. Maybe they could do a press conference thing like they did with Pillman.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 I think it will just be "HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME" before the sirens...
Guest big Dante Cruz Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 For the record, yes, Spring Stampede '99 Steiner did a top rope frankensteiner on Booker T. Thing is, he about lost his balance until he jumped for it trying to stand on the ropes.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Hell, I could get my ass up for a top roper...I want to see the bastard whip someone into the ropes and Frankenstein them coming back. Come on you big bastard, bust out the oldschool.
Guest razazteca Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Maybe Steiner can do one of those fake shoots on Bishoff & Flair for holding him down in the tag team division forever. Then do the usual roid body builder pose and kiss his biceps or make big threats to the Main Eventers while using F bombs every 5 seconds.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 He said "holla if you hear me" wrong in that promo on Raw. It's suppose to be.."Holla..(extended breath and pause).......if you hear me!"
Guest Brian Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Except for the fact Flair offeed him the title and was about to lay down for him.
Guest Redhawk Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Scott Steiner has, like, three of four nicknames, so of course WWE chooses to lead with the ABSOLUTE WORST, CHEESIEST ONE. I mean, what the hell? Who decided, "Hmmm, Big Poppa Pump? No. Genetic Freak? No. Man with the largest arms in the world? No. I know! Let's introduce him (to many new fans, mind you) as the Big Bad Booty Daddy! And make it clear that he doesn't care about winning the title, he just wants sex!" That was a really really stupid move there, Vince.
Guest humongous2002 Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Either way we all agree that Steiner wont be that much of a factor when it's about getting more ratings. Who could've been a big asset last year for the WCW invasion, but now he is nothing but another hoss that's going to take up space.
Guest Choken One Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 That reminds me...Why haven't they stolen then Pillman Gimmick yet?
Guest Luke Cage Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 Hey maybe Scott Steiner eats a can of Spinach before ever Nitro? Thank you for making me laugh.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted November 7, 2002 Report Posted November 7, 2002 That reminds me...Why haven't they stolen then Pillman Gimmick yet? Can't be common decency. I think it's cause the "Loose Cannon" gimmick only really worked with Smart Marks, and unlike in 97-00, the WWE refuses to admit that this is their audience. They're MAINSTREAM~! Baby!
