my two cents: This board isn't a clique. I am friendly with most of the board. I hate all trollers and flame baiters, as well as gimmick posters. Its a waste of time. With that said, I will say that this board isn't a clique. Hell, half the board hates half of it. There are three people who hate this board. I say all three should leave. As to whether or not this board is ran by some giant clique, last time I checked, Dames owns the site and controls (most of) everything that goes on with it.

 

I will give a giant "NO" for this board being "ran" by the cliques (which I only count "one" that is entirely a big joke).

WHether it's true or not, I can see where the perception that this group is run by a group of people has come from. While this board may not be run by anyone, it is kinda being dominated. You can say that there are 2000+ members on this board and 50-100 posters in this particular folder, but look at who posted in this thread. Of the 2000+ members of this board, how many posted in this thread? How often did they post in this thread? Of the 50-100 posters in this folder, how many posted in this thread? How often did they post? Things like that create the perception that there are certain people dominating the board.

No, the board's not one giant clique. Posting cliques have always irritated me and I think they generally don't ever lead to anything good, but neither the Establishment nor any other clique has taken over the board, or whatever the claim is. If you leave NHB, you probably won't even hear the Establishment mentioned.

 

On a side note, the "if you don't like something about the board, just leave" attitude is a little annoying. Many people probably love the board and the discussion that goes on at the board, so there's nothing wrong with trying to fix things about the board that you don't like, as long as you don't become obsessive about it ala Smartmark.

There's definitely a more active group of posters here, but that's true with any forum. Besides, most of those 2,000 members are probably things like people that don't even post here anymore, or else occasional WWE folder posters and such.

They're quite content to discuss their favourite TV show or band or whatever catches their fancy.
