In the hopes of contributing something to this thread, ermm, I've heard of science testing done to prove the fact that mullets in wrestling increase workrate ability by about 400%.

I never said that he was any of those things; I just said that he seemed vain, which I also pleaded guilty to. I also said there's nothing wrong with that. I take no sides in this argument.

No need to apologize for a blatantly short-sided remark. Don't mean to be rude, but it's been stated several in this thread that you could have just looked in the "New to Puroresu?" thread to find out what you were looking for, which is why we made it to begin with. Therefore, making a new thread makes little sense, wouldn't you say?

 

The guy hasn't done anything remotely rude to anyone, and you keep laying in the one-liners.

 

Ok, if he wasn't rude, what other adjective would you have us use for a guy who makes an unnecesary thread, and then calls us idiots when we point it out to him? Is there another word I should look up that better fits that kind of behavior? It would probably be helpful in describing your actions, too.

If this thread is going nowhere so damn fast can't it just be closed? I have a 1,500 word essay on the greatness of Masa Fuchi's stomps that I have postponed posting for fear of it being outshone by this thread.

 

As far as the Super J '95 goes I have only seen the 3 Liger matches off a comp so I can't judge the entire show itself. The three Liger matches were all at least good with the Ultimo Dragon one being the best. I remember Naniwa impressing me, his match with Liger was exciting the whole way through. I hate Gedo for dying his hair and looking similiar to Dynamite Kansai when she had her hair dyed blonde, the Liger/Gedo match was good but the weakest of the three.

Even though my essay mainly deals with Fuchi's stomps I also dedicate a decent portion of it with his gym coach stretching submissions, of course how can any such essay on Mr. Fuchi overlook them? Ever since I saw him contorting the likes of Kikuchi and Akiyama in early 90's six-mans I knew Fuchi must get his due respect.

I'll probably check Super J '95 out sooner or later, I still have to see more of the Joshi interpromotional supercards but from I've already seen and heard several of them are great. I did like Dreamslam quite a bit more than Super J '94.

Big Egg Universe might be better than all of them. That or Dream Slam 2, top to bottom. It depends on what you reward for: depth of good matches, or number of top-notch, memorable matches. The 7/29/93 AJ show from Budokan is probably another candidate, going on that second criterion.

I'd definitely vote for BEU - I mean, when it comes to Joshi, it's pretty hard not to pick the show that hooked me. Though the 1-2 punch to end the 7/29/93 Budokan was pretty fucking incredible as well.

Keeping in mind that I've only seen the second half, BEWU gets my vote, too. The few matches that underwelmed were more than compensated for by Hokuto, Kong, Kansai, Toyota, and Kyoko performing wonderufully to make an awesome tournament full of exceptional matches.

 

The '95 J-Cup is great for an overall sense of perspective on the junior scene at the time (and good forshadowing to how it would develope) but there's nothing on there that's essential, so I can't really rate it as highly as others. Don't get me wrong, Liger, Benoit, Ultimo, and Ohtani all showed why they were the best at the time, but it that was the norm for them.
