Guest Mad Dog Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 I got this yesterday since it was on sale and all I can say is how disappointed I am. Here's my list of complaints: 1. Crappy 97 Nation music instead of the much better 98 version. 2. No Chance in Hell makes it on here twice. 3. NAO music is lacking Road Dogg's intro which makes it worthless. 4. X-Pac's DX music that used to be a fav is lacking most of the words. 5. UT's deadman's music makes the 3rd CD twice. 6. A lot of PPV themes instead of wrestler themes. 7. Kurt Angle's music got changed. Added guitar to his theme. 8. Some songs such as the Warrior's sound horrible. 9. Several other themes got changed over. They also haven't put the bonus tracks online yet so I can't use my code to get them.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 This ain't the music folder, KID Illusion - NOT a kid
Guest buffybeast Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 That sucks to hear. I was seriously contemplating purchasing this CD. I hate it when they alter or change entrance music from the original. How could they not have RD's "oh you didn't know" intro, that was the most essential part of the song! Plus, they didn't include "Jive soul Bro" on of my favorite entrance themes ever.
Guest Ace309 Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 Yeah, I really don't understand how Warrior's theme got on and Jive Soul Bro didn't. They used it so much, and it was one of my favorite themes. I still think they should stick that theme on the Godfather for no good reason.
Guest buffybeast Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 I still think they should stick that theme on the Godfather for no good reason. I always thought they should have given the Godfather a remixed version of Jive Soul Bro. Although his entrance theme works fine for him.
Guest Reverb Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 "4. X-Pac's DX music that used to be a fav is lacking most of the words." It's actually Mike Tyson's second theme. He came to it at WrestleMania XIV "5. UT's deadman's music makes the 3rd CD twice." No reason to complain. One is the highly wanted summer 2002 theme and there's his current one. "6. A lot of PPV themes instead of wrestler themes." The events themes put there are actually the best event themes they have written in "California", "Fight" and "Brawl for All" "7. Kurt Angle's music got changed. Added guitar to his theme." He did use this theme in late 2001 and it's much beter thaqn the original. "8. Some songs such as the Warrior's sound horrible." Did you know they didn't have the same technology back then?? "9. Several other themes got changed over." All of which were used except for 4 - 5 of them.
Guest buffybeast Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 "7. Kurt Angle's music got changed. Added guitar to his theme." He did use this theme in late 2001 and it's much beter thaqn the original. Oh no it's not. That's why they switched his entrance back to the old Patriot music; no one liked it.
Guest bob_barron Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 Already a thread in the music folder
EL DANDY~! Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 STARTED BY ME~! So go post there...
Guest Mad Dog Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 "Did you know they didn't have the same technology back then??" Well considering I had a better quality version of it on my computer I would expect better. "He did use this theme in late 2001 and it's much beter thaqn the original." Actually it sounds like crap and I want the original version. "The events themes put there are actually the best event themes they have written in "California", "Fight" and "Brawl for All" You seem to miss the fact that I don't give a shit about those themes and would rather have more wrestler themes.
Guest crandamaniac Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 I would just like to point out that one of the "No Chance in Hell" themes is the Corporate Ministry theme, which in itself is a kick-ass theme. A gripe I have about this cd is that on the Mankind theme, they had his entrance music, but they didn't include his exit music (that piano-lullaby theme) like they did on WWF Vol. 2. That would have been a lot better if they did.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 To the people complaining about Angle's theme: his regular version might be better, but at least it's something different/rare. His current theme is already on Vol. 5, so the less repeated themes, the less ripped off I feel. That might just be me though..
Guest subliminal_animal Posted November 13, 2002 Report Posted November 13, 2002 A gripe I have about this cd is that on the Mankind theme, they had his entrance music, but they didn't include his exit music (that piano-lullaby theme) like they did on WWF Vol. 2. That would have been a lot better if they did. I thought the piano theme was the entrance and exit music. What was the entrance music?
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 Already a thread in the music folder Can i predict the future or WHAT!? It's official, I'm cool. Illusion - Annoying AND cool
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 *Listening to Disc 1 again* Did anyone else notice that Razor Ramon's theme skips on this disc, like it does on Full Metal? When I got Full Metal back in the day, I thought I'd just scratched the CD. But no, I guess the master of the track has the skip in it.
Guest crandamaniac Posted November 14, 2002 Report Posted November 14, 2002 A gripe I have about this cd is that on the Mankind theme, they had his entrance music, but they didn't include his exit music (that piano-lullaby theme) like they did on WWF Vol. 2. That would have been a lot better if they did. I thought the piano theme was the entrance and exit music. What was the entrance music? The one on the Anthology disc is his entrance music, the really haunting theme they had. His exit music was a kind of lullaby-ish piano piece. Supposedly his entrance theme is supposed to conjure up thoughts of him maiming his opponents, and his exit theme is supposed to calm him down and send him back to his "happy place"
Guest MaxPower27 Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 I like it. I wanted "The End", "Fight", and "California", and since I don't own KaZaA or anything like that, this rocks. Best song: Regal's Manly Man
Guest dreamer420 Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 After looking at the track list I said fuck it and created my own Anthology which is a five disk, over 120 song collection, with all the good ones you'd ever want to hear.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 I liked the Brawl For All/XFL theme. I'll also be getting this album set, just for the good quality of the tracks alone. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest treble charged Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 In addition to what I mentioned in the other thread, one of my only complaints about the CD is that there is no Cactus Jack theme song. Both Dude Love and Mankind get 2 each, yet there's no love for Cactus. Also, Sable's and the Coroporate Ministry's themes need to jump to the Attitude CD, while Goldust's should be on the Federation Year's disc. Other than that, I've been listening to it non-stop since I picked it up Wednesday afternoon.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 The only annoying thing is that I can't find the actual authentic tracks on Kazaa without getting some cheap, second-rate, low quality crap. And Cactus's theme can be found Clear and Complete on Kazaa. This I've done before. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest treble charged Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 I'm going to keep coming up with things I wish were on here, I guess. Next up, there's no Lance Storm/UnAmericans' music, which I really enjoy. I'm sure I'll think of more, soon.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 I'm glad I have KaZaa. That way, I can just download each track, and eventually, burn the ones I like to a cd. Also, if they were going to add PPV themes, why didn't they add "Broken", "Superstar", "Tear Away", etc. True, you can get the cds by those artists, but still. One of the discs should have been an entire cd full of TV themes, with two just for the wrestler's themes.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted November 15, 2002 Report Posted November 15, 2002 The only wwe themes i'd ever actually LISTEN to would be the mankind piano theme which i can't find ANYWHERE, and christian's.
Guest Kinetic Posted November 16, 2002 Report Posted November 16, 2002 How much is this thing going for? Not that I'd buy it--I have a strict policy regarding wrestling music and its inherent gheyness--but I'm sort of curious as to how much my illustrious colleagues are spending on this thing.
Guest crandamaniac Posted November 16, 2002 Report Posted November 16, 2002 TC, Cactus Jack and The Unamerican Theme is production music, that the WWE doesn't own the rights for, but can get really cheap without having to pay royalties on (like the Hardyz theme). I know I've heard of people saying they've heard Storm's theme in a tribute for 9/11, and I've heard Cactus Jack's theme in a porno coincedentally
Guest Kinetic Posted November 16, 2002 Report Posted November 16, 2002 I heard Booker T.'s theme on an episode of "The Kids In The Hall." The Hardy Boys' music is used a lot, but most notably on that space show that MacGyver stars in. I really think the WWE should use more stock music like that. Their homegrown themes are getting worse and worse.
Guest The Superstar Posted November 16, 2002 Report Posted November 16, 2002 Why doesn't Brock's music have the cool little sound at the beginning?
