Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Styles turned down multiple job offers from WWE, so that "put food on the table" excuse doesn't fly with me. He's a fucking sellout, period, so screw him. Also, how old is Sandman's daughter anyway? Because given what I know about Pogo's character, XPW may be going down a path worse than Katie Vick with this one...
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 17, 2002 Doesn't Styles work for an insurance company now or something? I believe he does, and the main reason he turned down the WWE offers was because the company he worked for paid better and didn't require him to travel far (a minor commute, probably less than an hour and a half). For Styles, who was THE voice of ECW, to join XPW, who has gone on record so many times saying "ECW sucks," is pure selling-out. And why do people complain that XPW is mostly former ECW'ers, whereas CZW has also used former ECW stars? How many former ECW'ers did you see holding the CZW Heavyweight title? How many times did you see CZW saying "ECW sucks, WE'RE the real extreme fed"? Very rarely, if ever. CZW almost always marketed itself as just a more hardcore product, but still respected the hell out of ECW for paving the way of American hardcore. What does XPW do? Piss on ECW's grave. Fuck Joey Styles. Fuck Shane Douglas. Fuck Rob Black. Fuck The Sandman. Fuck anybody else that worked for ECW, loved it, and then went to XPW just because they wanted some cash. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 18, 2002 [quote= Since everybody keeps discussing XPW's former-ECW'ers, let's take a look at the ECW talent that's worked for CZW: 1. Tajiri 2. Super Crazy 3. Tommy Dreamer 4. Tom Marquez 5. Rockin' Rebel 6. Juvi 7. Little Guido 8. Tony Mamaluke 9. Chris Hamrick 10. John Kronus 11. Jerry Lynn 12. Balls Mahoney 13. Mikey Whipwreck 14. Tod Gordon 15. The Sandman 16. Rocco Rock 17. The Blue Meanie 18. Axl Rotten 19. Ian Rotten 20. Pitbull #1 Now, let's take a look at the former-ECW talent that MLW used just at their Debut Show, ONLY: 1. Shane Douglas 2. Bam Bam Bigelow 3. Steve Corino 4. Devon Storm 5. Christopher Daniels 6. La Parka Big deal. Who cares how many former-ECW'ers XPW have? Jeez... The reason I'm only bicthing one way on this is because XPW has spent their entire existance saying how great they were, and fuck ECW...they're fuckin hypocrates when 2/3 of their workers are best known for being in ECW. XPW's own talent was shit, so they needed to get the old ECW guys so that they could put on watchable matches. And when CZW ran their first show in The ECW Arena they went on about how it was such a great building and they were proud to run there. Rob Black is a mark for himself, he started that wrestling company so he can hang out with wrestlers and feel like "one of the boys." Hope that last comment doesn't cost me a thumb. Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Here is how many people from the XPW show were NOT former ECWers: Kriss Kloss Veronica Caine Lizzy Borden Shark Boy Mexico's Most Wanted (2 members) Dead Prez (3 members) Malice Altar Boy Luke Supreme Angel Pogo Kaos GQ MONEY (16 people) And here were the former ECWers: JOEY STYLES Chris Chetti Chris Hamrick Psicosis Super Crazy Sandman Danny Doring Shane Douglas Grimes Chris Candido (10 people) 10/26 were former ECWers, thats less than HALF anyways there is no point arguing here, I am so pumped that XPW has turned themselves around and really changed the quality of their wrestling shows, I mean, some of the ones they did in cali were good, but some were fucking terrible, and now in philly they are a new company, i am glad. i am so happy that xpw is on the right track, and i really dont care what you guys think. i am probably the only xpw mark on this board, but i could care less. if you go to the xpwtv.com forums you will see a forum full of people who love xpw and who dont give 2 shits about what people like you think
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted November 18, 2002 Yeah, and that roster by itself is very unimpressive. And you're couting Shark Boy after one match? Fine. I knew you'd disect the roster just to spite me Sorry that the majority doesn't feel the same way about the company as you do. I strongly dislike XPW, I don't think they're a good wrestling promotion.
Guest Celtic Jobber Report post Posted November 18, 2002 I used to hate XPW, for it's first few years of existance XPW was horrible; plain and simple. But since Shane Douglas took over as booker, XPW's getting to be alot better. I for one am glad that Styles joined.
Guest Jonathan Barber Report post Posted November 18, 2002 And why do people complain that XPW is mostly former ECW'ers, whereas CZW has also used former ECW stars? How many former ECW'ers did you see holding the CZW Heavyweight title? How many times did you see CZW saying "ECW sucks, WE'RE the real extreme fed"? Very rarely, if ever. CZW almost always marketed itself as just a more hardcore product, but still respected the hell out of ECW for paving the way of American hardcore. What does XPW do? Piss on ECW's grave. I'm unsure if you're aware or not, but your whole second to last paragraph was incorrect. Tajiri held the CZW title, and Lynn got a shot at it, and to this day, it's argued if Lynn really won the CZW title. Before the match, it WAS announced that the bout was for the title, but afterwards, they said it was non-title. CZW shot on ECW almost as much, if not as much, as XPW did. At Night of the Main Events, CZW took cheap shots at ECW by saying that they were never extreme enough to put out an exploding ring deathmatch, which may I remind everybody CZW still has not done to this day. At C.O.D.3, I believe (I may be wrong) that Sandman was payed by Zandig to shoot on ECW. CZW payed Dreamer to say that CZW was "more extreme than ECW ever was." CZW is no innocent company, IMO. CZW has used all of these former-ECW'ers in their main events: Tajiri, Dreamer, Rebel, Lynn, Balls Mahoney, Ian Rotten, Axl Rotten, and others. They're also living off of ECW's legacy, just not nearly as much as XPW is. Plus, XPW had a reason to shoot on ECW. ECW injured a ring crew GIRL of XPW's and forced her to pay hospital bills when some of the ECW guys beat up on her, not realizing that she was a girl, at HeatWave 2000. They beat her up! Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 18, 2002 And she deserved it for being one of the XPW "workers" that tried to steal heat from Dreamer/Credible. I admit that I don't know much about CZW. But here's why CZW are looked at in a much higher light than XPW: Zandig is a WRESTLING promoter. CZW has GOOD WRESTLERS as well as the hardcore freaks. Rob Black is a PORN DIRECTOR. XPW has SHITTY WRESTLERS as well as AWFUL hardcore workers.

Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted November 18, 2002 here is a review of exit sandman from 1wrestling.com: "Thanks to Phil S. for the following. XPW Exit Sandman at Viking Hall in Philadelphia, PA on 11/16/02 .... This report will not be as detailed as the TV reports I do because it is a day later and I am not doing the report as the show is happening. Some of these matches will air on TV in the upcoming weeks and I will go into detail then. It was a nice sized crowd on a TERRIBLE weather day. Up until 7pm there were hardly any people outside the Arena waiting to get in, and I don't blame them as it was windy and freezing. But once the doors opened, people just kept pouring in. I suck at estimating attendance and my guess would just be a guess, but I would say around 400 - 500 which is great for a night like last night. Segment #1- The show opened with XPW TV Announcer Kris Kloss coming to the ring to get the fans fired up. However, Shane Douglas and Lizzy Borden headed to the ring. Shane told Kloss that Rob Black saved his job by signing him to a 5 year contract on his last day in charge at XPW. Shane said he is under contract but he can do with him what he wants!! Shane continued to berate Kloss until Kloss gave him the finger and left the ring. Douglas then said he had someone to bring out and to cut the lights!! Taz's ECW music played, then Raven's, then Dreamer's, and then Van Dam's! Shane said to turn the lights on and Joey Styles was in the ring to a HUGE ovation!! A lot of people already expected Styles to be at the show, and some websites that get off on spoiling things for fans even posted the news ahead of time, but the fans still loved it and popped huge!! Styles said he was there for 2 reasons .... 1) Because Shane signed him to a long term exclusive contract to call matches for XPW, and 2) to tell the fans what he really thought of them. He said for the past 2 years he has been sitting back and watching wrestling go down hil and he never got to tell the fans what he really thought of them. He said his last show in the ECW Arena was in the summer of 2000 and he didn't know it would be his last there so he never had to chance to say what he wanted to say. Styles then said thank you to the fans and told them that THEY made ECW, not Shane Douglas! Douglas looked stunned. He said Shane can come out on XPW TV, and the upcoming XPW pay per views and lie to the fans and spew his garbage, but while he does so, he (Styles) will be there telling the fans the truth behind the mic! He then said "thank you boss" and threw the mic down! Douglas went after Styles but Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch ran in to make the save! Segment #2- Shark Boy beat Chris Chetti. It was Shark Boy's XPW debut and again, the crowd popped HUGE for it! More on Shark Boy to come at the end of this report as for some reason he was on the crowd's mind the entire night! Segment #3- XPW Tag Team Champions Mexico's Most Wanted (Halloween & Damien 666) defeated The Dead Prez to retain the tag team titles. Smokey Carmichael came out before his team did and said he has returned to Viking Hall. He went on a verbal tirade against the fans and everyone who did not fit his cause. The Dead Prez came out from under the ring and attacked MMW from behind. This was a back and forth match with MMW being their usual top notch tag team, and the Dead Prez throwing in some cool spots as well. At one point a third member of the Dead Prez joined the match and they actually won the tag team titles. But then all three of them climbed the ropes to celebrate. When the ref noticed that there were three of them, he restarted the match. Mexico's Most Wanted then got one of them in their finisher for the victory. Segment #4- There was something on the video screen which said "J-Love is coming to XPW!" Segment #5- Malice defeated Chris Hamrick to keep up Hamrick's unlucky streak in XPW. After the match, Super Crazy attacked Hamrick, but Psicosis was right behind Crazy leading right into their match. Segment #6- Psicosis defeated Super Crazy. Psicosis was wearing a mask, to protect and hide the injuries he sustained at Fallout. A rubber chicken was used in this match in some pretty funny spots. Psicosis and Crazy were fighting toe to toe when Psicosis got the chicken. When Crazy saw the chicken he backed off and retreated to the corner begging for mercy. The crowd started chanting "chicken" but Crazy regained control. The crowd chanted "chicken" again but Crazy stopped them and made them chant "pollo". The crowd obliged and Crazy took the chicken and beat Psicosis with it to a huge ovation. Crazy then made the chicken do a bow to the crowd. Later in the match, the fan threw the chicken to Psicosis to use on Crazy which he did. Crazy then went over to the fan and yelled at him for letting Psicosis use it this time. Was a pretty decent match that Psicosis came out on top of. But after the match, Crazy went after Psicosis with the spike again. Psicosis had to be helped to the back. Segment #7- XPW King of the Deathmatch Champion Altar Boy Luke defeated Supreme and The Hardcore Homo Angel to retain the title. Supreme was the first man to the ring and he took the mic. He said the fans are used to seeing lighttubes and barbed wire boards and thumbtacks and all that stuff come out before his matches. He said there was a meeting today and that stuff will no longer be allowed in the state of Pennsylvania. He said "that's alright though, they are just doing their job!". He said do not blame the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission, because they are just doing their job! He said they won't whine and complain about it. He said if you want to blame someone, blame the scared promoters in the area who go crying to the commission because they are afraid that XPW has been talked about far more than any of them since they got to the area. Supreme said to blame CZW and that f'ing a$$hole Zandig. He said because of CZW and Zandig, there will be no more death matches in the state. Supreme went on to say that Zandig didn't screw XPW, he screwed the fans. Supreme went on to say he doesn't need that stuff to be extreme and he will destroy Angel and Luke. Even without the weapons, this was still a violent match. There was a big scaffold in the corner of the arena. All three fought their way over to the top of it. Supreme threw Luke off the scaffold through a table. Then in one of the sickest things I've seen, Supreme delivered a running powerslam off the scaffold through a table below. It was pretty sick and caused 4-5 XPW officials to go running to the back immediately for help. Luke somehow managed to get the pinfall. The show then went to intermission with Supreme and Angel still out on the floor for a good 10 minutes or so into the intermission. I am sure Zandig and CZW will now complain about the use of tables and pinfalls on shows. Segment #8- After intermission was the Sandman retirement. Sandman's son Tyler and one of his daughters were in the ring while Sandman went around through the crowd. Pogo the Clown then entered the ring. Sandman went to the ring to protect his kids. Pogo tried to bait Sandman into a match verbally abusing him and bragging about sending his wife to the hospital. Sandman finally went after Pogo with the cane and caned him a few times. He went to cane him again and hit Tyler instead. Tyler went down in the corner as Sandman continued to hit Pogo. Sandman's daughter begged for him to stop because Tyler was down. Sandman kept nailing Pogo until he finally stopped and hugged his daughter! His daughter however kneed him in the groin as Pogo started to beat on him. His daughter grabbed the mic and said she was waiting 10 years to do that. She said that Tyler was always his favorite. Pogo the Clown grabbed Sandman's daughter and left with her as Sandman struggled to his feet and told Pogo he has a war on his hands! Now let me beat a few people to the punch on this one .... I know that people are gonna rip this apart since Sandman is not actually retiring. All I can say is get a life. It's WRESTLING!!! First of all, when does anyone ever retire anyway? Second of all, wrestling fans are not stupid and I doubt many people thought he was going to retire! Third, it's an angle!!! Ever hear of that? It's how you move storylines along and the such. The same people that are going to complain about this being an angle are the same people who used to think that Gangrel, Christian, and Edge lived in caves and could only wrestle at night because they were vampires! Segment #9- XPW TV Champion Kaos (with G.Q. Money and Veronica Caine) defeated Danny Doring. Lots of interference in this match, but also a lot of good action. At one slow point in the match, the crowd started chanting "boring". Doring encouraged them to chant it louder. When they did, he applied a chinlock on Kaos which led to a "holy s***" chant! Was pretty funny actually. Kaos got the victory with a lot of help from Caine and Money. Segment #10- XPW World Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas (with Lizzy Borden) defeated Chris Candido (with Tammy Sytch) and Vic Grimes. It was supposed to be Douglas vs. Candido but Grimes attacked Candido before the match. Grimes challenged Douglas to put the title on the line and let him have a shot. Douglas agreed! The match was underway for about 10 minutes when Candido made his way back to the ring and it became a three way match. At the end, Grimes powerbombed Tammy through a table that he had placed Lizzy on. But the table did not break. So Grimes powerbombed Tammy through the table again. Candido ran in to see if she was okay, and Douglas schoolboyed him for the pinfall and the victory! NOTES: Shark Boy was so over for some reason that throughout the show, the crowd spontaneously burst into such chants as "Bring Back Shark Boy", "We Want Shark Boy", and "Shark Boy". Also, at points, whenever offensive moves were made in the ring the crowd would chant "Shark" much like the old Hack Myers days or Balls and Axl days. During Shane Douglas's promo before his match the crowd was chanting for Shark Boy which led Shane to say he wants him too and maybe next month he will make shark meat out of him! After the show was over the crowd was chanting for Sandman. He came out and the crowd chanted "please don't go!". Sandman said he would make a deal with the fans. He said he would not go if he could get 6 fans to come drink with him in the ring. He picked out 6 fans and had them all in the ring and gave them all a beer. All of a sudden, the crowd erupted into deafening cheers. Sandman did not know why until he turned around to see who else had joined him ... none other than .... SHARK BOY!!!!!! Sandman said "that is some hilarious s***!". Sandman, 6 fans, and Shark Boy all drank together. Sandman introduced his 3 year old son Oliver to the crowd too. He said it is moments like this which makes him never want to leave wrestling. Next show at Viking Hall is Saturday, December 21st with Merry F'N Christmas! It was announced that on that show will be Shane Douglas, Sandman, SHARK BOY!!!!! and others! I highly recommend people seeing XPW live. If you like a lot of action and many styles of wrestling it is a show to see. If you like whining and complaining and constant talk about feds you are afraid of, then check out some of the other action in the area. As you will see over the next few weeks, XPW and XPW fans talk about XPW, while CZW and CZW fans, as well as other local feds that are scared also talk about XPW. So come out and see what EVERYONE is talking about on December 21st ..... XPW!! I will definitely be back" also the crowd had 600 people. up from last months 500 when xpw had their 1st show they had 950, and basically 600 is the xpw fanbase as of now, but if xpw hypes up a better card for their next show the # could easily go up to 950 again

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2002 now with Sandman caning his own kids.. it's time for XPW to CAPITIALIZE and they should do this by bringing in a new star. POLITICAL CORRECTNESS MAN. A man who will strike the Sandman in revenge for Sandman 'using corporal punishment' on his kids. P/C Man will insist on full P/C at all times, refering to other wrestlers in P/C terms. Like "Rob African-American" (Rob Black), "Altar Adolescent Luke", "Super Mentally Imblanced" and he will insist on total Political Correctness. P/C Man's finisher: "The Political Corrector" and then he will get alot of heel heat by insisting to Rob Black that it's not politically correct to feed a dog to a snake.
