Guest ElectricRaccoon Report post Posted November 30, 2002 I HATE the singer of Creed. I FUCKING hate that voice. Along with every other singer doing the whole "epic" change-pitch-ten-times-on-every-vowel-sound thing that Eddie Vedder popularized. The difference being that Vedder is at least tolerable. Metal Ed 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Know what I can't stand, dude? Them fuckin Dixie Chicks bitches. I had to listen to that shit all the way back to the trailer park the other night after my mom posted bail for me. I thought my ear drums was gonna explode or some shit, ya know? I was, like, "Damn! Turn this horseshit off!" but I couldn't really do nothin on account of her getting me out of jail. I tried hummin some Sabbath to myself and everything, but it didn't do no good. I went to get a checkup on my Trans Am the day after that and the dude in the Quicky Lube office was listenin to fucking "Wide Open Spaces" and I fuckin flipped my lid and shit. I cracked that dude's skull good, man. Course, I see the airor of my ways now cuz I had to listen to the Dixie Chicks all the way back to the trailer park once my ma bailed me out again. I don't figger I'm gonna break any laws again any time soon.
Guest mw679 Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Let's see...I'll add in the chick from The Cranberries, her voice, and how it cracks when she sings, is so fuckin' annoying. The worst part is everyone I talk to about it, loves her voice! WTF?!?! The lead singer from the band Boy Hits Car. I don't know much about the band, but my friend palyed some songs from one of their albums and about halfway through the first song, I had to get up and walk out of the room. So annoying. To the person who said Brian Johnson's(lead singer of AC/DC) voice is annoying, well, I guess some people do, I'm a hardcore AC/DC fan, but even we(the hardcore fans) have said that his voice has gone down the tubes since Back in Black. Bon Scott's voice was friggin amazing, though. As for Brian's voice on the Live album...well, they used studio effects to help his voice sound better. Pretty bad. Although, I though he sounded good live in concert a few years ago, but, I don't find his voice to be that bad.

Guest MrRant Report post Posted November 30, 2002 People who are American yet seem to sing with a British accent. Lead singer from Green Day especially. Oh and the lead singer of the Foo Fighters David Grohl. Edit: Shit I also forgot both dweebs from Bare Naked Ladies and that fat fuck from Smash Mouth... I FUCKING HATE HIM. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted November 30, 2002 People who are American yet seem to sing with a British accent. Lead singer from Green Day especially. It's funny you should mention this, since in an interview once, Billie Joe (said Green Day singer) said he sounds like "an Englishman impersonating an American impersonating an Englishman". Anyway, I echo the sentiments of someone who posted earlier about "rock legends". I personally can't STAND Janis Joplin, and a lot of Dylan (although it usually works for Dylan so it's tolerable). Good songwriters, terrible singers. I'd say the same goes for Neil Young but I've only heard a few Neil Young songs so I can't make fair judgment. By the by, call me dED but I didn't know who Nick Dinsmore was either. I had heard the name, but I never knew exactly who he was.

That fat bastard said in an interview once that Van Halen II is the reason he got into music. The Halen is your reason for doing what you do and you put out THAT SHIT? C'mon Steve, you had to have been kidding. People inspired by Van Halen tend not to suck.

You know, all the good bands. None of that Chinese chicken bullshit, neither.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Agent...touché. Touché indeed my metal friend. Only, one small thing: I hate Blind Guardian, Stratovarius, and "fantasy" creations. The singer from Cryptic Slaughter sucks too. Oh well, they're not anything more than a decent hardcore band, so blah...
Guest EricMM Report post Posted November 30, 2002 Bjorks music matches her voice, and the combo just rules. And the Bare Naked Ladies can fucking sing. The lead singer from creed makes me mad tho ararg

Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted December 1, 2002 I heard a rumor of a 6th SteelDrag song that was never released. The title had Crown in it, so its safe to say that Zakk Wylde pretty much wrote the whole thing.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted December 1, 2002 Robert Plant sometimes annoys me, especially D'yer M'ker i love plant, but i totally concur on that song. his voice on that track annoys the hell out of me. his voice is awful on 'dancing days' too, i can't bear to listen to it. he sounds really strung out on...something, i don't know. stone temple pilots did a much better version. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2002 I absolutely hate the voice of the lead singer of Rush. I honestly can't see the big deal about them. It's impossible for me to get through 5 seconds of a Rush song without feeling like my ears are going to bleed.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted December 1, 2002 Willie Nelson. He's an old school country legend and all but his voice annoys the shit out of me. I'll be the first to come to the defense of nasal twangs more often than not, too.

It's impossible for me to get through 5 seconds of a Rush song without feeling like my ears are going to bleed. I generally try to block out Geddy Lee's vocals whenever possible and just listen to the greatness of Neil Peart, Alex Lifeson, and Geddy Lee as musicians. Lee is at his high-pitched worst on Fly By Night and A Farewell to Kings.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted December 1, 2002 there's nothing wrong with Geddy's voice. oh Kelly Osbourne annoys me aswell
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2002 I like Lee's voice post-Moving Pictures. Not as much of the ear-bleeding wailing. I watched Kelly Osbourne on "The Tonight Show" and I have to say that it was one of the WORST performance I have ever seen. The fact that the song "Shut Up" is mind-numbingly awful doesn'thelp her cause either.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted December 2, 2002 I hate all these alterna-rock singers that all sound almost the same. The two best (perhaps worst would be better) examples: Scott Stapp (Creed) Chad Kroeger (Nickelback, and that horrible Spiderman song) Plently of others suck as well. Also on the suck list are the singer from Smash Mouth, Axl Rose (despite the fact that GNR have some great songs), Steven Tyler, Brian Johnson (now especially), Janis Joplin, and a whole bunch of chick "singer"/songwriter types.
