Guest Redhawk Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Now, I understand why they were teamed up at first. 3MW were going to fight Billy & Chuck at the PPV, and Rico had just betrayed Billy & Chuck. Okay, fine. But why are these three still hanging together? Why would two hosses like Jamal and Rosey hang out with a feminine stylist? Why would a fruit like Rico hang out with two guys whose style he would probably detest were he really a stylist? Is Rico still even supposed to be gay/feminine, or is he tough like 3MW now? Is he part of 3MW? And what happened to those (separate) pushes Rico and 3MW were supposed to be getting? Did the writers just forget to end this storyline or what?
B. Brian Brunzell Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 The better question is why would the WWF put a great worker like Rico with two fat Samoans who could put on a good match if a gun were pointed at their heads?
Guest Army Eye Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 I think you nailed it. They wrote the storyline with no idea what the ending was. Hell look where Billy and Chuck are now.
Guest The Superstar Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Poor Rico. From beating Ric Flair in only 4 minutes to jobbing to Goldust in 3.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Maybe Rico is Rosie & Jamal's prison bitch
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 I don't think Rico's supposed to be gay or "tough," but simply put in there because he's a loyal but whiny suck-up for Bischoff. At least, that was the angle. Gee, who else is like that.. .Hummm.... Nah... . o O ( Rico + Steve Austin + Bret Hart = Three-Minute Whining? )

ChrisMWaters Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 I think you nailed it. They wrote the storyline with no idea what the ending was. Hell look where Billy and Chuck are now. Who? Billy = Current Injured Boy Chuck = Tajiri's Job Boy last night.

"I'M TELLING ERIC!!" Poor Rico. From beating Ric Flair in only 4 minutes to jobbing to Goldust in 3. Considering Ric's status in WWE that's not really a demotion. Right after that HHH said that he lost to a guy who "couldn't carry his jock," and then soon after Ric started being his manager. Ho-hum. Burying one of the talent on air, Hunter? You? Nooooo... At least Rico is capable of putting on good matches. Hell, if he had the push that Edge did he'd be bigger star than Beaverface could ever be for sure.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 They should have kept Rico in that tattletale role.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 They were going in that direction, but then dropped it. "I'M TELLING ERIC!!" D'oh! And I had JUST made a Three Minute Whining image, too.
TheFranchise Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 You shouldn't put them together, for only ONE of them can wrestle. oh wait, that's like the current 3MW then?
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Billy = Current Injured Boy Chuck = Tajiri's Job Boy last night. Nothing wrong with that.
Guest Quik Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Well, it's very simple. Rico's trying to toughen up. Obviously the WWE wants to stay away from controversial and unpopular angles/gimicks like a gay wrestler, so Rico's character is being changed from that into simply being a pussy.
Guest buffybeast Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 The question we should ask ourselves is what is the WWE group doing with the 3 minute men. They went from being Bischoff's henchmen to not even being involved in an interesting feud.

Guest buffybeast Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Won't happen. That storyline has probably all been forgotten by the wacky writing team.

For WWE, usually concentrated on giving heat back soon...if they haven't now they never will. Oh well--kinda sad they were squashed by the Fat Samoans in Booker's home town and they didn't get to do anything to get back at them, while the Samoans have done jack shit lately.
Guest midnight_burn Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Keeping Rico as the Samoans manager just means the writers don't have to bother coming up with an actual storyline or purpose for him. The writers are far to busy with fun stuff like necrophilia and copying angles they've already done before.
