Guest MrRant Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 What is your favorite "man" movie? Movies such as Terminator, Rambo, Blood Sport etc? Mine is Conan 1 & 2, Red Sonya (with Ahhhhhhnold) and the first Beastmaster.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Die Hard...I can watch that anytime
B. Brian Brunzell Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Favorite "Man" movie? Hmmm... that's a toughie. I'd probably go with The Longest Yard. Another favorite is Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.

Guest El Satanico Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Man Sports: Longest Yard Man Karate: Enter the Dragon or Blind Fury Man Cop: Dirty Harry Man War: Delta Force There's sports, karate, cop and war movies that aren't manly? I don't consider Pearl Harbor a war movie
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Invasion U.S.A. Chuck Norris save America, he never shows emotion and he has some of the best macho dialogue ever. I friggin' LOVE this movie.

Guest SP-1 Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Die Hard With A Vengeance The first two DH's are alright, but DHWAV is superior to them to me. Don't really know why.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Not quite a movie, but the first person to come to my mind was Harry Callahan (sp?)...

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 I've been on a Beverly Hills Cop siege for a bit...
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 There's sports, karate, cop and war movies that aren't manly? I don't consider Pearl Harbor a war movie Oh, sure. Blue Steel immediately comes to mind for cop films and A League of their Own for sports. But outside of just "girly" movies, a "manly" movie has certain conotations to it. A guy film is just mindless action and or sex for the most part with low tire humor. I wouldn't consider The Godfather to be a "manly" film, because it's a serious drama and a great film and doesn't really have that "only appeals to men" vibe about it. When I hear "guy film" I think of a certain type of movie.
Guest godthedog Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 'godfather' is a very manly film. the entire world of the movie is built around violence and power. women are totally marginalized. it's filled to the brim with great death scenes. plus brando's always talking about how important it is to 'be a man': "you spend time with your family? good. cause a man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man." "you can act like a man!" i feel like a manly man everytime i watch it.
Guest Nevermortal Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Any of the Peter & David Paul Movies. Especially TWIN SITTERS!!!!!!!
Guest godthedog Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Any of the Peter & David Paul Movies. Especially TWIN SITTERS!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Peter and David Paul rule so much. They're in DC Cab too, which is a great flick "Why are women so up tight? They got half the money and all the pussy."
Guest Nevermortal Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Peter and David Paul rule so much. They're in DC Cab too, which is a great flick "Why are women so up tight? Peter: Nooooooooo way. David: YES WAY!
Guest Retro Rob Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 I would have to say Fight Club.

The Bad, The Ugly
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Resevoir Dogs Fight Club Die Hard (any of them)
Guest DrTom Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 I'd have to go with Dirty Harry. I guess any of those movies would work, but the first one is the best.
Guest Retro Rob Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Girls do watch Fight Club, but most of it goes right over their heads.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Um just because females may watch it doesn't automatically make it non manly. Why does manly have to be "mindless"? I'm sorry, but i don't see how any James Bond movie can be considered a mannish chick movie. There's noothing about James Bond movies that would make it any sort of "chick flick". And please don't tell me it's a chick flick because it has women in it. But judging from my recent purchases :points to bottom of signature: perhaps i shouldn't comment on this topic
Guest spiny norman Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Apocalypse Now. THAT is a manly movie. Blade Runner. Is that a manly movie? Those two, anyway, are both pretty bloody good.
