Guest Special K Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I've been thinking of who has had the most finishers in the U.S. and Canada (or lucha, but I know nothing of that). The Rules: Tag Team Finishers can count: (i.e. Bret Hart and Anvil would have the Hart Attack.) No deuling finishers unless they become a regular part of the reptoire. (Jericho doing the rock bottom, Hall doing the stunner, people doing the ankle lock on Angle, you get the idea.) Trying to keep puro out, because I'm pretty sure Misawa immediately wins with 7 (face lock, rolling elbow, Tiger Suplex, TS'85, Tiger Driver, TD '91, Emerald frosion) and he probably has one more. Of course there's going to be some debate as to what constitutes a finisher, but there we are. Undertaker: 5 (heart punch as Mean Mark, Chokeslam, tombstone, Last Ride, Taker care of business) Dreamer: 5(Piledriver, DDT, DVD, Dreams Driver [Frosion], Tommyhawk) Benoit: 5(Superbomb [ECW], Dragon Suplex, Rolling Germans, Crossface, swandive headbutt.) Saturn: 4(Total Elimination, DVD, Rings of Saturn I&II) RVD: 4(VanDaminater, VanTerminator, 5*, SPlit legged monsault.) Low Ki: 4(Ki Krushers 99&00, Big kick, Dragon Clutch) Edge: 4(Edgucation, Edgecution, Downward Spiral, Spear) Rocky: 4(Shoulderbreaker, Rock bottom, People's Elbow [blegh], Crapshooter.) SHane Douglas 4: (Belly2Belly, Invert full-nelson, Pittsburgh plunge, Franchiser.) Test: 4(Big Boot, Pumphandle powerslam, Savage Elbow, Test Drive.) BPP: 4(Frankensteiner, Steiner Screwdriver [should have been called Steiner 69er], Bagwell Buster assist, Recliner) Booker: 4(Missile Dropkick, Ax kick, Bookend, Hangover) Vader: (Powerbomb, Chokeslam, Pump Splash, Moonsault.) That's about all I can think of.

That's about all I can think of. the ones in bold i wouldn't really consider finishers. unless there's a part of benoit's history i missed, i don't think anyone's thought "oh shit! he's busting out the rolling germans, it's OVER!" it's a trademark move, but not a finisher. rock's sharpshooter has won him some matches, but precious few. a LOT more often than not, he uses it just as a spot to pop the crowd and rest for a little while. he's won with it JUST enough to make people think that it just might end a match when he pulls it out, but it doesn't regularly finish the match, which is what a finisher is supposed to do. again, more of a trademark move. Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted December 5, 2002 Kanyon: 2nd Rope Samoan Drop-Flatliner, Downward Spiral-Flatliner, that neckbreaker thingy, the Electric Chair Drop, The Flatliner-like DDT he did in WWF, and the powerbomb/neckbreaker combo tag team move that's
Guest Special K Report post Posted December 6, 2002 I don't know what the neckbreaker thingy is, but if you count the Kanyon cutter, we may have a winnah. Plus he was the first one I ever saw use the *ahem* moss-covered-three-handled-family-credunza It's between him and Nova, though some moves like the Spindoctor and Sledge-o-matic he didn't finish with, though. Guest treble charged Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Is the Van Daminator really considered a finisher? I don't recall it every actually ending a match. And how many has Billy Gunn had? The Fame-asser and neck-breaker thing I know for sure, but it seems to me that he would have had a few others in his pre-DX days, but I can't remember myself if he did. Guest J*ingus Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Who has ever had the most different finishers at the same time? I can't think of any American wrestlers who have more than three, of which there are a few (Rock, Jericho, Edge, etc), since I wouldn't consider all of Hurricane's moves to be "finishers". But in terms of sheer number of finishers anywhere on earth, I can't think of anyone who has more than Misawa, who at times used the Tiger Driver, Tiger Driver '91, Tiger Suplex, Tiger Suplex '85, Frog Splash, I believe two different variations on the Emerald Frosien, and then at least two or three kinds of different elbow strikes, which comes up to eight at the minimum. Guest Gathering Moss Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Fullnelson face slam Actually, the fullnelson face slam is called the Breakdown. The Flashback is a sleeper into a neckbreaker. Also could anyone tell me what the hell a Teardrop Suplex is?
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted December 6, 2002 A pumphandle backdrop suplex. Shawn Michaels used it as finisher when he first broke from Marty.

Guest Dace59 Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Dreamer Driver = Emerald Frusion Tommy Hawk = Inverted Crucifix Nekcbreaker (FAce down Razors Edge setup droped into a Dimaond Cutter) The Neckbreaker thinging for Kayon was either: Kanyon Cutter/Diamond Cutter or Torture Rack to Neckbreaker. There was also the third Flatliner, the Reverse Rock Bottom/ Lifting Downward Spiral. Tear Drop suplex = through the legs grab back drop. Just link your arms under and through the near leg, and lift them back over your shoulder. Technically the Breakdown is a Full Nelson Inverted STO/ Full Nelson Reverse Side Russian Leg Sweep. Misawa has only ever used one version of the Emerald Frusion, he's just old and sloppy with it know. Hayabusa in the H gimmicked did a cradle emerald frusion. Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted December 6, 2002 Kanyon also had the second turnbuckle tombstone piledriver, though i don't think he used it more than a couple of times.

The Fame-asser and neck-breaker thing I know for sure, but it seems to me that he would have had a few others in his pre-DX days, but I can't remember myself if he did. Well, he used the Sidewinder (top-rope legdrop/side slam) with the Smoking Gunns. I seem to remember him using a tornado DDT or something after they split. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted December 6, 2002 LOL. You had to feel bad for Billy during this period. Everytime he did that dance where he wiggled his hips, while pointing at his ass with one thumb and point at his head with the other all while wearing a denim jacket that someone had gone crazy on with a bedazzler it was great comedy.
