Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted December 4, 2002 With Raw ratings floundering, Vince McMahon recently got up during a creative meeting and declared that Shock TV was dead. McMahon reportedly said that using Shock TV is no longer a way to generate interest in the show. Presumably, there will be less or no Shock TV elements used on WWE TV in the foreseeable future. Brock Lesnar and Triple H both worked through injuries in their World Title matches a couple weeks ago at Survivor Series. Although both have heat in the lockerroom for various reasons, each put on good performances, with Lesnar performing the F5 on the Big Show and HHH going nearly a half hour after injuring his throat. Both are said to have gained respect with the lockerroom because of those performances. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Guest Kamui Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Well, while this may go against popular opinion, both definitley deserve respect for what they did. HHH wrestled for a half hour with an injured throat, it does take courage, whether you like the guy or not- and Brock having the strength to F5 the Big Show is also a legimitley awesome feat. And plus, I am very glad to hear about the no-more-Shock-TV-announcement! Vince should now can Gerwitz and just let Heyman book both shows, and you'd see an improvement in no time! -Duo
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Also... Rey Mysterio is set to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery tomorrow. Dr. James Andrews will be performing the surgery in Birmingham. No word yet on how long Mysterio will take to recover from the surgery. Credit: WrestlingObserver.com
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Holy shit...Vincent K. McMahon declared Shock TV dead? I can't believe it, but I'm glad to hear it. But then he said "The Kids are all about the sizock so Shock TV is now Sizock TV"
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Well, while this may go against popular opinion, both definitley deserve respect for what they did Wait, Angle and Rey wrestled injured too. PUSH THEM OVER THE ENTIRE COMPANY~! I'm not shocked that non one gives a fuck, though.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 The best way I've heard it said was by Brian Alvarez on WOL this week: "Vince got up and declared shock-TV was dead. No kidding, that was four years ago you idiot."
Guest IB2BLACK Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Something postive about HHH? I'm shocked.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Shock TV? Does that mean the "Oh my god, Hulk Hogan came back to the WWF" or "Oh my god, HHH just had necrophlia"
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Something postive about HHH? I'm shocked. Yeah, I didn't see the show, but I heard that he layed down and did nothing like a true champ. As opposed to say, bowin out and letting someone else then Michaels pin him sometime before the finish or anything like that.
Guest Kamui Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Yes, Anglesault, he's still a no-elevating-douchebag. All I was saying was that if it was me with a severe throat injuruy, and I wasn't winning the match anyway, I'd ask to be pinned, no way I'd go 30 minutes with a throat injury. Although, on second thought, 25 of those minutes were spent rolling around the floor doing nothing, so maybe not so impressive after all. -Duo

He didn't stay in the match to make it better or give it his all. He stayed in so only Michaels could go over him.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 If he didn't love the spotlight so much he would have had someone pin him so that they could carry on a match for the fans instead of working around him just sitting there. Austin was supposed to win his first world title in the fatal 4 way, got hurt in the match and he got out. This is why I don't blame RVD for the injury...as I'm sure the 30 minutes of staying out in the ring and not getting medical attention didn't help his injury. But NO ACTIVE WRESTLER CAN DEFEAT HHH. Guest Kamui Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Yup, the only person who can defeat HHH is Shawn, and that's because he has the POWER OF JEEBUS~!!!! behind him, or something. -Duo

I guess shock TV has just transfered from Raw to Smackdown --------------END SPOILERS--------------- Jason

Anyway, now Lesnar has an ego. Whoopdee fucking doo. BTW Who's the guy who still hangs out with the Jobbers, oh why, the guy who should have Lesnar's spot, of course. I couldn't agree more, Triple H has recieved ZERO credit from any smark i've seen here and he really should be commended on his performance which did outline his dedication to the business and his drive to deliver, if only best he can, a decent match for a pay per view. If Chris Benoit had done the same thing, the board would still be sucking his dick over it. Illusion
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 5, 2002 That's because Benoit would have done it in a good match.

Illusion As mentioned previously, he was so dedicated he layed out there during the match waiting for his Kliq buddy and him to be the final 2, so he can put over his good buddy again. Whoopty fuck, give the man a medal. Even injured he won't put anyone over. Couldn't even let SOME ONE ELSE be a part of the final two besides him and Shawn. Hurry up and blow out a knee or tear another quad already, I'm getting impatient.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 5, 2002 HHH laid out forever during the chamber match. I actually figured out he was injured or something because Kane punched him and he was out for like ten minutes.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2002 It wouldn't matter. Vince is the one that said shock tv is dead and judging by how many of Heyman's ideas have been shot down, if Vince was serious then he wouldn't have allowed the lesbian angle.

The fact Trippers was in there and continued injured has NOTHING to do with him, Triple H doesn't decide how the match ends, he doesn't decide the winner and he isnt the head booker. VINCE McMAHON had the matched planned out so that Triple H would be pinned by Shawn Michaels, all Triple H was doing was HIS JOB, nothing more, nothing less. Stop looking for excuses that are not there, Triple H was booked to be pinned by HBK, and even through a serious injury, that is exactly what he did, just like Vince wanted. Understand, my faithful Illusion-ite? Illusion
