Who should win the Heisman Trophy?

These are the guys who have a shot. Well, Leftwich is an extremely long shot.

 

Anyway, make your voice heard. I'm torn between Johnson, Palmer, and Banks.

Willis McGahee. I thought it was a tight race among him, Dorsey, Palmer, and Johnson, but six touchdowns against VT should swing the voting in his favor.

The thing about Larry Johnson is in Penn State's "Big games" he mostly rushed under 100 yards. But against weak opponents, he rushed for those 300 yarders which got him over the 2000 yard mark.

 

I chose McGahee because he's been unbelievable for the most part and that 6 TD performance against VT was ungodly.

Thats exactly it, when the guy played against the MEN (Iowa, Michigan) he got held to around 70 yards. Padding your stats against shitty teams isn't what the Heisman is all about.

 

Dorsey and McGahee look better than they are because when defenses key on one of them, the other goes off.

 

Leftwich doesn't play against any good teams.

 

Palmer and Banks have been ungodly good against everyone all year, especially in their last few games. I say hold off voting until after the Orange Bowl and see who plays the best in that game and give it to them.

Dorsey, From start to finish, they have had Ken Dorsey's name engraved and ready to be presented. He never hurt himself, ala Palmer and Banks (whom each had embarrassing losses), McGahee is a Soph, Leftwich never had good teams and Johnson fucking sucked against Good teams.

 

The one man whom stands Alone this year in the eyes of the voters, The East Bias and a National name, Ken Dorsey.

Brad Banks was the AP Player of the Year. Rex Grossman won the award last season. Guess we can count Banks out.

Well, it ain't Leftwich as Banks, Dorsey, McGahee, Johnson, and Palmer got the Heisman invitations.

 

Also, Banks got one official first place vote because he won a poll on Heisman.com or something. Well, that's what they said on PTI.

 

And on MNF, Melissa Stark polled the 11 current Heisman Trophy winners in the NFL and four of them are going to vote for McGahee (which was the most).

 

So, if we go with what the NFLer Heismans are voting for, then McGahee will win. Of course, there are more than a few hundred more official votes to go, but I'm looking at anything for a sign for a McGahee win.

The NFL players will probably forget to vote.

 

It's between the 3 QB's with Brad Banks in the lead. Dorsey and McGahee will take votes away from each other, Johnson will do well in the East, and the voters have an West Coast bias so that hurts Palmer. Banks can get the votes coming out of the Big 10 and Big 12 areas.
