EWR 2.0 IS OUT~!

Recommended Posts

Guest Retro Rob

I started out my own backyard fed with $500,000. I got it up to about 50% and then jumped to 3PW. I brought them to Cult 25% and once again jumped to TNA. Switching promotions keeps the game fun. It doesn't get boring as quickly as when I stuck with one federation.

In two straight matches I've got a **** and a ****1/2 match out of Jericho vs. Randy Savage in my WCW.

I couldn't believe it, but it happened the same way as Rock/Hogan. The crowd heat was at 98%.

In the search window for other workers click on "include people working for other promotions (allows stealing)?"

You can only steal people with a verbal contract. You can't steal people with a written contract.

okay question time again

How do I get bussiness to rise again?

Why won't some people [Am drag, Low Ki, Daniels] negotiate with me?

What is the way to avoid bad matches? Is there a cirtian thing to stay away from?

I'm not sure what you mean by "business".

You can't steal everyone because some guys are loyal to their employer and don't want to walk out so they won't renogiate. I wish they'd change it so you could throw money at them to try convincing them.

You need to wait it out. The industry eventually rebounds.

First of all the business means the market in boom or bust. Unfortunately, you've gotta just wait that out.

As for the stealing, check out the guys attitude and behaviour affects their decision to stay or go. If they've are high, it's hard for them to stay, but when you get them they are easily yours to keep. Yet, if you are high enough in PI and Status (Regional, Cult, etc.) you can usually pick off people with those high attitudes and behaviour.

Now Last Voice, sometimes bad matches happen. However, what I find is that if you stock up on guys with 70+ in either Brawl, Speed, or Tech. Usually try to get someone with two. Also make sure they have a high selling and charisma, but if they've got decent stuff then send them to your developmental camp. This almost always gets me decent matches, but you will get an ocassional bad match. It just happens, like in real life.

Just so you know, the stuff I'm listing below all is at when the game starts. You might have to go looking for them later on.

Did you just pick up the Janruary edition of 2.0? Because if you did, go pick up these guys from other federations: BJ Whitmer, J.R. Ryder, Shark Boy, Jay Lethal, Chad Collyer & Matt Stryker (tag team), Oman Ttortuga, Insane Dragon, Christopher Idol, Derranged, Crypt Kaldron, Gotti, Joseth Castle, Pepper Parks, Race Steele, Steve Bradley, Scoot Andrews, Mike Xylas, Ryan Wing. Most of these guys you'll either find in ECWA, HWA, or IHPW.

And here's some great talent to work with should you need total unknowns and you can just immediately pick them up (but most of their overness is quite low): Austin Lee, Generalin Intikami, Jayson Reign (send him to development for a bit to build up his charisma, guy sells himself like a whore with his 100 stat), Jason Rumble, Jonny C, Ebessan (can't speak), Men's Teoh (another who doesn't speak), Oz, Carlito Montana, Ikaitia Loa, Johnny Smith (very stiff), Roadkill, Saniyedi Gecti, Androide (low charisma), Andy Jaxx, Ash Parker, Chris Blackheart, Chris Nelson, Doc Dean, Fred Curry Jr., Gary Steele (low charisma), Gedo (can't speak), Jado (can't speak), Headbanger Thrasher (actually has pretty damn good stats, pick up his bro as well and give spice to your tag division), Henry Sugawara the 3rd (low charisma), Jack Xavier, Jody Fleisch (highly recommend), Justin Richards (low charisma), Ken Shamrock (low charisma, too old to send to development, so just get a valet/ manager), Kory Williams, Kyle Storm, Lash LeRoux (highly recommend), Phil Barker, Psychic (low charisma), Robbie Brookside (low charisma), Taka Michinoku (highly recommend, just get a valet/manager), Tsubo Genjin (low charisma), Alex Castano (low charisma), Anthony W. Mori (low charisma, selling), Ashe & Curve (good tag team, low charisma), Backyard Billy (low charisma), Blitzkrieg (highly recommend, get a valet/manager), Chris Alexander, Derek Wylde, Dirk Ciglar (low charisma), Five Star Flash, Guillotine LeGrande, Hade Vansen (low charisma), Jason Allgood, Jason Breeze, Joey Corman & Samir (good tag team), Kamikaze (low charisma), Kaz Hayashi (low charisma, get valet/manager), Kid Omega, Kid Romeo, Makabre (low charisma), Mohammed Yone (low charisma), Perry Saturn (get valet/manager), Pinoy Boy (low charisma), Raj Ghosh & Ross Jordan (good tag team, low charisma), Ricky Marvin (low charisma), Scottie Rock (low charisma), Stoker Ishikawa (low charisma), Super Boy (low charisma), Syxx-Pac (get valet/manager), The Highlight Kid, The Winger (low charisma), Tim Moxley (low charisma), Tony Givens (low sell), Traik, Ron Waterman, and finally Seven.

Now then, just remember that most of these guys don't have that great of charisma, selling, or overness. So, place them into your developmental camp to get that fixed.

Finally, if you see a couple of companies that started the game, going out of business, here are a couple that I'd suggest you buy out: MLW, PWI, HWA and IHPW. These federations have some very nice talent. Especially IHPW and HWA (where I try stealing most young talent).

Also keep an eye out for Stevie Fabulous. I believe he's in a written contract when you start the game(FLI i think). However if you can get him do it.

This guy has great stats(100 charisma, 100 speed and 70 tech) and will be a big star for you with a push.

Oh dude. I totally forgot about him. Thanks for bringing him up.

Also the WWE regularly drops Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Nick Dinsmore (pick this bastard up as he'll be the staple in your gang), Nova, Rob Conway, and Brian Kenrick (Spanky). Try picking these dudes up.

Also, I forgot about Psicosis (can't speak, or at least he doesn't), Ultimo Dragon, Johnny B Badd, and Spiffy Sean Stylez.

I've had the game for awhile now, but I recently download a scenario that I wanted to install. However, when I tried to install it, the game wouldn't load. I'm guessing that I installed it incorrectly. Could anyone tell me the correct way to install a scenario? I really want to play this one...

Use the data manager in the file editor. Apparently someone forgot to tidy up any loose links (ie: a guy being to a fed but the fed no longer exists).

.....could you be a little more specific? I went to the file editor, but there was only something about maintaining the database and checking the database and converting data. Nothing about scenarios.

Unzip the scenerio, C&P the data files from the scenerio into your EWR data folder, moving or replacing the old data files. It'll work.

Dammit. I meant check and maintain the database. (I'm not sure which, but one should be the right one). It'll take out any screwed up links that could possibly cause problems in the game. That's usually the problem I have with the scenarios. Yet, it might be something else if that doesn't work.

Does anyone know Shark Boy's real name or does anyone have a good name i could rename him as.

I'm pushing him into the world title and would prefer to not have him win the title as Shark Boy.

Yes...because Sea Predator...would be just so much better and different than Shark Boy

His real name is Dean Roll, I believe. He has appeared as an "actor" on Disco Inferno's old TNA interview skit as Dean Baldwin. Those are the only aliases I know of for him.

Speaking of naming guys...

I just made a tag team of Shannon Moore and Super Crazy and called them "Fabuloso Loco", which of course is Super Crazy in Spanish.

I decided to make this tag team because I needed a face tag team and both guys have 60 overness, but they weren't getting over as singles. And since they have low charisma i would've never tried getting them over as singles anyway.

I'm thinking of embarking on a year-long three-way feud.

Sadda Insane vs. Jean-Luc Picard vs. James T. Kirk

Culminating at BaghdadMania (because the pyro is free).

Thoughts? Ideas on how this one should play out?

I feel dirty.

Have Sadda Insane be the guy who will do anything to win (so have him disrupt matches and stuffies), have Picard be the hero on the quest to retain his title, and have Kirk be the evil bad dude that lies, cheats and beats down everything in sight to be an over bad dude.

Basically play out how the hell the WWE shoulda done the whole situation with Benoit (guy willing to do anything to win: Insane), Lesnar (hero on quest to retain title: Picard), and Angle (evil bad, seriously cunning: Kirk).

This is assuming that the people I suggest are tweener, face and heel. Heel, face, heel works as well. Also assuming that I got the people in proper callings.

My first ***** match in 2.0:

TLC Match - Jindrak and O'Haire vs Nova and Jones vs Backseat Boyz (For The NWA Tag Team Titles): Nova uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Gutwrench into a powerbomb, Jindrak hits hard. Face jam onto the table by Jones. O'Haire gets hip-tossed onto the ladder. Super frankensteiner on Jones, who hit hard. Flying reverse elbow by Nova. Hip toss onto a chair by Nova. Mark Jindrak scoops up Nova. O'Haire bounces off the ropes and hits a flying Hart Attack clothesline. Brutal powerbomb on Jones. Jindrak hits a stump piledriver on Trent Acid. Johnny Kashmere with a whip into the ladder. Second rope flying axe handle, O'Haire goes down. Johnny Kashmere hits a dropkick off the table. Power drive elbow by Nova. Vertical suplex by Tony Jones. Jones hits a great swinging DDT on Sean O'Haire. Nova and Tony Jones go up the ladder and grab the prize for the win. Excellent match, a ***** rating!

Overall Rating: 98%

Crowd Reaction: 100%

Match Quality: 96%

I think Sadda will be like, the evil GM who is also an idiot. Picard will be the badass on his Title Quest, and Kirk will be the cunning heel. Both Picard and Kirk 0wn Sadda though. ;)

Ok. Actually that works out. Both guys with the title don't want the GM to "involve" himself, but the GM thinks that in the "interest of fairness" he must involve himself to keep the "order".

Damn. That's a pretty good. Then again, usually my highest matches come from tag matches.

Unless I pit Ultimo Dragon against Psicosis. Those two just raise the damned roof. Guys are like midcarders in my fed, and got the highest rating 81 overall, and ***1/2. As soon as I get them up into the Main Event, I can't wait to see what the ***** stars these two give me.

Any luck at getting a TV deal? My created company recently rose to global level and we're still having to cope with one PPV a month. Which makes booking easier and has honestly somewhat gotten me back into the game. But I keep getting rejected! Even by Fox and Comedy Central! *sobs*
