Guest JMTapes Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Hey, This probably should be in the tape trading folder, but I figured I'd have better luck here. I'm looking for the following episodes of Boy Meets World. These three episodes were banned from being aired on the Disney Channel due to them being too hardcore for the PA channel. If anyone has any of these, please shoot me an email. I'm also looking for any ABC recordings from the first three seasons. Thanks-Jim "If You Can't Be with the One You Love..." #107) "Prom-ises, Prom-ises" #111 "The Truth About Honesty" #133 [email protected]/[email protected]
Guest Daredevil21 Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 What were these episodes about? I don't know any of the shows by titles, but may if you give a summary of them.
Guest Eagan469 Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 I remember watching an episode on ABC many moons ago about Corey and Tapanga arranging a hotel room for prom-night sex. Now I don't think THAT would have gotten on the Disney Channel...
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 That show was pretty good but it had logic gaps that make WWE look good..
Guest Eagan469 Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 What were these episodes about? I don't know any of the shows by titles, but may if you give a summary of them. "If You Can't Be with the One You Love..." #107: Cory tries to get over Topanga by drinking alcohol at a party, but there's more trouble in store after Shawn joins in his friend's indulgence "Prom-ises, Prom-ises" #111: Cory and Tapanga plan prom-night sex in a hotel. "The Truth About Honesty" #133: Guests play a truth-telling game at Rachel and Jack's first dinner party.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 banned Boy Meets World episodes. Wow...I never thought I'd read that.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Well it is disney channel were talking here.. for what its worth, I thought that BMW episodes were in regular syndication on other stations, but that might have ended if Disney Channel got exclusive rights to it or something..
Guest phoenixrising Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 banned Boy Meets World episodes. Wow...I never thought I'd read that. For a minute I was hoping that the banned episodes involved Danielle Fishel getting naked and doing the horizontal tango. Never watched the show but I thought she was pretty cute. Sadly I read more and saw the Disney Channel had banned them. Never mind.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 The fact that this show could get banned for anything is just really wierd. Guests play a truth-telling game at Rachel and Jack's first dinner party. *GASP* How perverted! PS - Satanico, your sig picture kicks ass
Guest JMTapes Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 No, I don't believe they are on anywhere else except Disney, as Disney owns ABC, where they were originally aired. -JM
Guest Choken One Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 FALSE. They are aired in Cincy at 5 in the morning ON Channel 3. (Right after Coach and before Cosby) this might have change since last month...
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 What about the infamous "Gang-banga Tapanga" episode where Cory, Shawn and Mr.Feeny have their way w/ Tapanga? Huh?
Guest Human Fly Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Mr. Feeny aka Kit from Knight Rider Cory tries to get over Topanga by drinking alcohol at a party, but there's more trouble in store after Shawn joins in his friend's indulgence Does that sound gay to anyone else?
Guest ShooterJay Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 I think they might have banned the honeymoon episode too because of the implied sex and the fact that Topanga is in lingerie for a minute or so. My brother watches that show on Disney all the time and says he's never seen that one either.
Guest JMTapes Posted December 15, 2002 Report Posted December 15, 2002 The honeymoon one is played. I have it taped from Disney. Now why would they play that and not a Truth or Dare episode? GAAAAYYYY.
EL DANDY~! Posted December 15, 2002 Report Posted December 15, 2002 Ha...we're talking about banned Boy Meets World episodes...isn't this one of the seven signs of the apocolypse? Great show by the way. Eric's goofiness > most goofiness...
Guest Insanityman Posted December 15, 2002 Report Posted December 15, 2002 Hmmm... I always thought of BMW as quite a "nice" show. I honestly had no clue they got that serious.
Guest Ram Posted December 15, 2002 Report Posted December 15, 2002 "If You Can't Be with the One You Love..." #107) "Prom-ises, Prom-ises" #111 "The Truth About Honesty" #133 #107 was the one where both were drunk and pissed on a police car, right? I remember #111, and it's stupid that they'd ban it. It had a "wait until marriage" message in it or some shit. #133 I don't recall.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted December 15, 2002 Report Posted December 15, 2002 So wait...they ban episodes of one of the only truly great family sitcoms ever, simply because they go a little extreme? If I remember correctly... "If You Can't Be With The One You Love" has Sean and Corey (heh...great name) getting drunk, pissing on a police car, and then getting in deep shit for it. At the end, they realize that alcohol isn't a solution, it's just another problem, and it teaches a valuable lesson about prejudice based on class systems (Corey's dad thinks Sean is the one that got the alcohol originally, when it was Corey all along). "Prom-ises, Prom-ises" taught us to "save it for marriage, kids." The end shows Corey and Topanga walking out of the hotel room, roughly 10 minutes (sitcom time) after they checked in, holding hands, and then they go to their respective homes. "The Truth About Honesty" features Sean professing to his ex-girlfriend that he still loves her, right? They're making out, ready for some no-strings-attached sex, but then Sean realizes he's still in love with her. And a random BMW question, what happened during the last season? I remember Eric dating a woman with a child, and helping take care of the kid, and Corey and Topanga got married. What happened to Sean, Sean's older half-brother, Sean's ex-girlfriend, Feeney, and Corey's family?
Guest Choken One Posted December 15, 2002 Report Posted December 15, 2002 They all left the show and all they had left with Corey, Topanga, Eric and the blond that Jack and Eric Lived with. they really scrapped the bottom the barrel for shows that year.
