Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Hell Yeah! but who would he fight? I'd like to see a Tenkoji reunion, but since Mutoh told Chono he would't fight him odds are TenChono are defending the titles. If not Tenzan vs. Kojima might be good. Guest ChaosTheory Report post Posted December 12, 2002 According to puroresufan.com Tenzan has actually challenged Kojima to a match on 1/4. Apparently Mutoh said that he would not try to discourage Kojima from working the card even though Mutoh would not be wrestling. Kojima was said to be confused as to why Tenzan would challenge him and he has not (to my knowledge) accepted or declined. Kojima vs. Tenzan? I would love to see this match! Guest PlatypusFool Report post Posted December 13, 2002 Not gonna happen, Kojima was, give or take, differing the question away rather than answering. It's like a politician moving away from the topic of conversation to avoid a difficult question. What Kojima actually said was 'I am confused as to why Tenzan wants to face me, but I won't rule it out... I'll see what Muta-san says about it'. Which basically means he won't be appearing. I'd be surprised to see AJPW participation on this show... maybe next year.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2002 - Hiroyoshi Tenzan held an urgent interview today in the New Japan HQ fifth floor conference room. Tenzan was clad in a black suit, with a serious expression on his face. Tenzan talked about how by refusing Chono's offer to work the 1/4/03 Tokyo Dome show, Keiji Muto had broken the bond of the "Three Muskateers". Tenzan said that, "It is our time for making a move now", and said he would make an attempt to bring Satoshi Kojima back to New Japan for the January 4th super-show. Tenzan vowed that "Tenkoji" was not finished, and that the team would again cause a stir in the professional wrestling community. Tenzan sent an appeal out to Kojima to reform their now-legendary team, whether in January or any other time in 2003. UPDATE: Chono has given Tenzan complete booking power for his 1/4 match, and he can negotiate with All Japan openly for Kojima to work the show if he wants to. -Credit STRONG STYLE SPIRIT. Wow. Umm...you guys still have permission to keep hopes alive. I'm SO loving this if Kojima comes back to NJ.
Guest PlatypusFool Report post Posted December 20, 2002 I'd say that the match is now possible once again, generally if they are still talking about the possibility, it's still possible.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2002 Whole lotta possibles there, Platy...but I heard that Mutoh wasn't the one who called off any AJPW attempt to be at the show, rather it was BABA who did it, and Mutoh was just made out to look stupid...interesting at most. Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted December 20, 2002 I can see three paths of thought o this subject. 1. Kojima would be a god draw fo the Dome show. An AJPW wrestler drawing good money for NJPW won't sit well with NJPW. 2. If AJPW is serious about not working with NJPW, then by NJPW keeping up the challenges and AJPW being forced to say no, it makes AJPW look bush league by comparison when the other big federations are willing to wok with NJ. I do hope Kojima can work the show though. A TenKoji reunion would be great.

I won't claim to be a follower of either company but I have to ask... If that were true, why would did they book Kawada/Sasaki? Outsiders drawing interest for Dome shows has been going on for a while.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted December 20, 2002 I had a typo in my post that I didn't catch, I meant to say that an AJPW wrestler drawing money for NJPW won't sit well withAJPW[/i] Kawada vs. Sasaki was a matter of desperation, AJPW was killed by the NOAH split and NJPW was in a rut from Chosyu's dumbass booking coupled with Inoki's shoot love spreading out,(although not as bad as in 2001) When Mutoh jumped and took Kojima, and Ka Shin with him he killed the AJPW and NJPW co operation. Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 20, 2002 At the same time, money is money, and with the increasing trouble NJ has had over the years in selling out the Dome, I don't think it's completely out of the question that Chono would try to work with them. Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted December 24, 2002 The Dome Show needs all the drawing power it can get. This is a pretty damn sweet addition. Calling right now, the "Limited Edition" version of TenKoji get the win with a 3D on Chono.
