X-Gauntlet For Next Week

Bill Behrens released 7 names for the X-Division Gauntlet Match this morning. They are:

 

Jimmy Rave

David Young

Tony Mamaluke

Jason Cross

AJ Styles (for X-style fans, I can tell you, Cross-Styles is something you'll rave about for weeks, if it happens)

Amazing Red

Jerry Lynn

 

 

Swore AJ & Lynn were getting pushes towards the big belt, but hey, one more week won't hurt them, will it?

That sounds very cool. I hope they are given time. Sometimes they use the pyschology of the gauntlet to make each fall very short, and it just comes off very forced.

As long as AJ attacks JJ again during next weeks show...it's all good with me.

 

I think that the gauntlet is like the other gauntlets have been (2 people start, someone new enters every mintute) only that you can't be eliminated by getting thrown over the top in this one...you have to be pinned or submit.

I think that the gauntlet is like the other gauntlets have been (2 people start, someone new enters every mintute) only that you can't be eliminated by getting thrown over the top in this one...you have to be pinned or submit.

Actually, I think you're describing battle royal rules. I thought a gauntlet match was when 2 guys start and once one guy is pinned or submits, a new man comes out to face the winner of the previous match until it's finished (WWF has used this with teams and called it Tag Team Tormoil!)

Actually, it's describing the Gauntlet For The Gold, which is what I've heard is the actual match.

Throw in David Young from Behrens list and you have 9.

My guess is that Styles and Lynn are only really in this to give credibility. They might make it to the final fall, but it really seems to make sense for Red to go over here.

Is Christopher Daniels ever coming back to NWA TNA?

That's up in the air in the same way that Low-Ki and Jimmy Yang are.

 

TNA wants them (JJ specifically stated that he wants Daniels back in an interview) but TNA won't book them while they work for zero-one in Japan because they aren't able to get their bookings far enough in advance.

 

That being said...JJ is working for zero-one this weekend...so I suppose this is an attempt to work something out with finding out their schedules.

Daniels actually wrestles with M-Pro and ocassionally New Japan. Yang wrestles for All Japan. Corino and Low Ki are the ones who have conflicts with Zero One bookings.

Oh believe me, they definitely want Low-Ki and Daniels back, though I've heard nothing either way about Yang or Corino. And it's about damn time they put David Young back on PPV.

It depends on how highly they rated Cross on Week 24 as to how far he goes. I mean, they only gave him and Mamaluke a little while and he seemed pretty good.

I'm sure AJ and Lynn will go at it soemwhere, it's obviously liked high up. But it'll probably be Amazing Red who wins. It should be awesome though whoever wins/is in it.

I see Styles probably winning the match and I think it will come down to him and Red as the final two wrestlers. It will be amazing though considering the talent involved and what kind of match it is.
