Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 **votes Metal Edge** Any mag that has had Chris Jericho write for it, at ANY time in his career, instantly owns all else. As for MODERN metal mags...PIT owns all, with UNRESTRAINED coming in at a close-second.
Guest Incandenza Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 I use to read Rip. Towards the end of its run, metal was losing its mainstream popularity, so they expanded their coverage and were trying to be more like Spin (but still with some metal coverage). They weren't a bad rag when they tried being a "serious" publication.
Guest HellSpawn Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 ** votes RIP ** I used to read Hit parader, Rip, Circus and sometimes Metal Edge, but 1st, the price went really up down here in Mexico and 2nd, Circus began to run articles on... The F'n New Kids on the Block !!! and also using some freak neon pinkish colors on the covers.
Guest pochorenella Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 *** votes Circus *** I used to have a Circus magazine subscription for several years. They had the best pictures of any magazine on the stands and great stories. The only thing I thought they lacked was a decent song lyrics section, they mostly featured only 2 or 3 songs at the most. I used to think they ruled, until... Circus began to run articles on... The F'n New Kids on the Block !!! and also using some freak neon pinkish colors on the covers ...and I cancelled my subscription. I was very sad for me.
Guest JangoFett4Hire Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Metal Edge was the worst. All the articles were written in the same kiss ass tone by that Gerri whatsherface. According to her "Tuff" and "badlands" were gonna be bigger than the beatles. you could read stuff like that inbetween your sebastian bach and nelson pinups. rip ruled...
Guest Ozymandias Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 I voted fer Metal Edge because they lasted the longest before selling out. Up until '99 they were still pretty much the same mag. Fer fuck's sake people, Rip's last issue featured the Presidents of the United States of America on the cover. Enough fucking said about that magazine.
Guest converge241 Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 "PIT owns all, " PIT is sweet as well as BWBK
