Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted December 14, 2002 I just want to know what matches are good by him, even though I heard they are hard to find.

Guest Coffin Surfer Report post Posted December 14, 2002 Well, since you were a great tag partner, and I was the one pimping the matches in the SWF boards, here's a detailed list: Stan Hansen vs. Kenta Kobashi (7/31/93)***** Probably the greatest mens' underdog vs. monster match. Kobashi takes the ass kicking of a life time. Stan Hansen vs. Toshiaki Kawada (02/28/93)****3/4 One of the greatest brawls ever, loaded with not only stiff brawling but great selling to accompany it. Hansen vs. Kobashi (04/16/93)****1/2 Stiffest Lairat ever. Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Stan Hansen (Triple Crown 5/21/93)****1/2 With the other three masterpieces, it's easy to see why this one is often forgotten. Features the clash of titans, The Elbow vs. the Lariat! Great selling by Hansen.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2002 Hansen vs. Kobashi (04/16/93)****1/2 Stiffest Lairat ever. God almighty...I thought that man was dead upon impact. Hansen OBLITERATED him with that lariat. The whole crowd just went silent. Like somebody just died...unbelievable.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted December 14, 2002 Well I've seen one Hansen match. It was where he won the Triple Crown from Kawada. I just remember the first time I watched it I was angry about the WWF and there "hosses don't sell" mentality and I saw this match. Stan Hansen...the kind of hoss Jim Ross would cream himself over. Selling his arm like it was broken. Wow......damn WWF and there fuzzy logic.

I'd agree, but I prefer the Aja-Toyota match from Big Egg Universe as best overall Monster vs. Underdog match. CS, if you haven't seen it, get it immediately. Well I've seen one Hansen match. Wow, imagine what you would think if you saw one of Hansen's actual great matches, like the ones CS mentioned....
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted December 14, 2002 Yes one of his great matches...must look into that.........
Guest blachuuh_monkey Report post Posted December 14, 2002 The only Hansen match I have is the Triple Crown unification bout against Jumbo Tsuruta and although I thought it was good it was nowhere near as good as the previous matches listed from what I've read and heard about them. Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 14, 2002 From what I've heard, the Hansen/Jumbo TC unification matches (all six of them) were basically full out brawls designed to make everyone think the belts would never be unified. Hoping to see Hansen/Kobashi soon. Until then, Aja/Toyota 11/94 is the best Monster/Underdog match I've ever seen, by a landslide.
Guest blachuuh_monkey Report post Posted December 14, 2002 They actual had six of them. I'm guessing I have the last one them because Jumbo wins this match by pinfall and is awarded all three belts. I have no idea of the date of the match however.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 14, 2002 Yeah, that must have been 4/18/89. They had five bouts before that for the titles that were all inconclusive. According to most, both men had far better matches with other opponents than against each other, as odd as that is.
Guest blachuuh_monkey Report post Posted December 14, 2002 I would say that is true.
